Updated MacBookPro10,2 to macOS Monterey Beta 4, everything going as expected, however, it appears that Bluetooth is broken. It looks like I'm not the only one having issues with WiFi/Bluetooth with 2012 machines so we'll see what happens. Otherwise, it's super snappy and runs extremely well. Updated using OCLP.

Update ran fine, only one of my two different BT USB dongles (using BlueToolFixup) is dropping constantly the connection. The other model not needing this tool is still working fine.

Note: I believe the NVIDIA+Safari+Reload problems has been fixed.

Hey, everyone--

I'd been having the same issues on my MacBookPro 10,1-- Safari would crash certain pages and give the "an error repeatedly occurred" message.

So I started using the Safari Technology Preview. They issued an update for that branch and it started giving out the same error.

Through dumb luck and trial and error, I've found that enabling "GPU Process: Web GL" on the Experimental Features sub-menu, under the Develop menu fixes that. Not remotely sure what's this about, but just thought I'd let you guys know-- maybe this will help someone come up with a more permanent fix or a reason this is happening at all.

EDIT: And it seems perfomance is pretty severely impacted with this toggled on. It's pretty clear why it's not on by default and under the experimental features menu.

This Safari issue seems to be fixed on Monterey Beta 4.

Not sure if it's been posted before but Monterey seems to run fine on my 2014 MBP.

Did Apple actually say why this model wouldn't be supported? Outside of planned obsolescence, I'm not seeing a reason why it was dropped.
As in beta 3, Bluetooth remains disabled on my cMP3,1 with upgraded BT4 LTE module that has been working fine in Big Sur 11.5.1.

Are you connecting the Bluetooth USB directly into the rear of the Mac Pro? If so, try adding a USB hub in-between. I found this resolved my mysterious Bluetooth disappearances in Monterey

Likely due to the OCHI controller becoming more and more unstable with each OS release, so forcing the EHCI controller in the Mac Pro worked

No, this is an internal Apple WiFi/Bluetooth upgrade Broadcom card from an iMac 2014 that has been working well since Mojave through Catalina and Big Sur. The Wi-Fi "side" of the card is still working fine too.

Well working fine through Mojave to Big Sur is a bit different. Big Sur broke OHCI hot plug for many and seems Monterey broke OHCI outright. I would recommend forcing the EHCI controller and verify whether this is your issue

For reference I own the BCM94360CD module which would line up with the iMac15,1 (2014 5k) module as well

Tried deleting the bluetooth plist but no fix.
Thanks for advice but how?
Generally the easiest way to force the EHCI controller is to use a USB hub. Since 99% of Bluetooth dongles operate in USB1.1 mode, you need a device in between to force the EHCI into becoming active. The OHCI and EHCI controller cannot both be active on a single port at the same time so this ensures EHCI is always being used

To repeat, I am not using a BT dongle so what will be the use of connecting a USB hub?
You're using a BCM94360CD? How are you connecting the Bluetooth section of the module to the Mac Pro? I assume it's in a PCIe riser with a small USB cable coming off to connect either to an internal header or route on the rear

Unless there's a different adapter you're using which is relying on internal headers for Bluetooth

Yeah it looks like the MacPro3,1 does support the USB pins from mPCIe unlike the 4,1 and 5,1. Likely where the confusion came from

Yeah no way to fix for you without either soldering the USB pins and routing them to a USB plug or buying a new adapter that exposes the Bluetooth as a USB socket

Updated Mid 2012 MBP 9,2 to 21A5294g

Before installation: Since beta 3 and OCLP, only a full installer is available through software update ~11GB
During installation: Installation got stuck like in beta 3, reboot and manual selecting EFI allowed progress
After installation: Although patched with 0.2.3 and rebooted Bluetooth is now not available anymore in 21A5294g. Worked in beta 3 though. However, my apple bluetooth mouse 1gen is working, left click, right click works. But no scrolling, also not recognised in settings.

Other than that, everything works as expected.

Edit: Patched again with OCLP 0.2.4 nb, same issue. Bluetooth is gone.

Edit 2: Booting from USB Installer shows bluetooth, i.e. Apple Mouse working as expected. Hardware issue can be excluded.

Same problem on CMP 3,1. Internal Bluetooth upgrade went MIA in beta 4
