This year I'm actually waiting for the public final release to hit the Store and update that way :)

Nice! Good to know and yes I'll do a backup for sure. Thank you. BTW there's no way to just make an update to the OS if you start Monterey from a USB? I mean, that procedure will always overwrite the actual OS (in this case Big Sur), if I'm not partitioning my drive and install Monterey on another partition/container? Sorry for this question, I simply don't remember it o_O
If you install Monterey over Big Sur it'll overwrite and update the system leaving your files untouched

Monterey B6:
Does anyone know a fix for this?

I'm noticing that the ZOOM in "Accessibility" is not working right on a MBPro 2010 Nvidia-330M and on a cMP 5,1 ATI-5770, both have been patched with the nightly build of OCLP. I use the zoom a lot but other than that everything else works great!!!
Does anyone know a fix for this?

Note: My unsupported Macs with Metal all work awesome with BS and Monterey!!!

What do you mean with accessibility: Granting cam and mic security access rights to ZOOM?

Wifi Work?

WIFI:
no, but:
- with OCLP 0.2.4 , the wifi button can't be activate, it stays gray:(
- with OCLP 0.2.5 nightly, the wifi button can be activate, it turns blue :) .. but no wifi network is display...:(

BLUETOOTH:
- if I deactivate the bluetooth button , I can't activate again , I must make a "sudo killall -9 BlueTool bluetoothd" command to reactivate again

To activate WiFi using the stock Atheros module on Monterey one has to apply the post install patching (patcher option 3) now.

But this seems to be broken at least for me on my iMac using a AMD metal card (like yours) since it tries to apply the HD3000 non metal patches, too. This breaks video acceleration and a makes the system unusable. So when starting the post install patching please stop it when it offers non metal HD3000 GPU patches, too.

Did not stop it just because I was curious. Thankfully reverting the patches using the unpatch option worked for me!

Bluetooth is somewhat unstable, but it works even with some other BCM2070X USB dongles.

With my Lenovo Intel Wireless Card idea on a Mac Pro 3,1, on Monterey Beta 2 & 3, I was able to get the card working very quickly.

The USB from the PCIe card, is hooked up to my USB 2.0 Hub. So far that is the best place for it as my USB 2.0 Hub is seen right away. I am not good at soldering so I thought, get a Lenovo card with Intel Wireless, get its open intel wireless source bluetooth driver and grab the Bluetool fix up kext as instructed and Bam! Bluetooth worked on the first try.

This setup worked so well, I decided to remove my BCM card completely and reboots via B2 and B3 seem to be more stable/successful. B2 also got handoff to work. Do not have it on B3 yet.

And what is strange is the Card works perfectly on Monterey but the card does not get a MAC address on Big Sur. I may be able to get the Broadcom card to live on BigSur and the Lenovo Card to live on Monterey with USB Mapping as needed.

Card cost 13.00 on eBay

9-pin to USB-A. The Lenovo card is a 11-pin, but the 9pin adapter works. A 5-pin should work but the wiring is all mixed up. I had a 5 pin and a 9 pin and could not get an 11 pin adapter, so just skip the 5 pin.

BAIRONG Black 9-Pin USB IDC Dupont Male Header to Single USB 2.0 Type A Male Cable 7.8 Inches

I got this idea from the Broadcom mods, but I felt this was easier and safer and can probably keep my Broadcom card as is for Big Sur and use this new card for Monterey.

the hardest part of this madness is the super tiny antenna prongs.

Kext's used with release links:
My Lenovo Intel Wireless combo 802.11ac/BT4LE card 13 USD off eBay works with just three kext's AirportItlwm.kext 2.0.0 (Monterey) and IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext v1.1.3, BlueToolFixup.kext v2.6.0.

p.s.

After getting Monterey working, I was able to get Big Sur 11.2.3 BT and WiFi working with the same card and meshing with a combination of Apple's drivers and the Open Source Firmware via Open Core. ;) Really happy with the mod. I am getting a newer Lenovo WiFi/BT4.2 card for a 2009 4,1 that I am getting soon.

Can you tell now which two wire on the BAIRONG Black 9-Pin USB adapter are D+ and D-

Bluetooth is somewhat unstable, but it works even with some other BCM2070X USB dongles.

I test the "post install patching" on my first test iMac 27 " mi 2011 with Monterey beta12 and the latest nightly OCLP . this iMac does not yet have a metal GC, it is expected in a few weeks. Now today with post install patch:
- the stock card WIFI Atheros work on 2,4 GHz :) but not on 5 GHz :( , the network 5 GHz are displayed but connection doesn't work
- Bluetooth works (I haven't tested long enough to see if it's unstable)
- the screen does not stop flickering. It is well indicated in the release notes that it is under development. I will try again with more tests when I will change the GC and with the next stable version of OCLP.

I have a second iMac 27 "mid 2011 with a WX4130 graphics card but I have already changed the WIFI card to a BCM94360CD :) and therefore the WIFI works with OCLP without the post patch install.

I will post the results of my tests in a few weeks after changing the graphics card of my first test iMac.

I might test on my main iMac 27 " mi 2011 Big Sur (stock WIFI card / WX4130) but with Monterey on an external USB SSD.

Assuming the Accessibility C/P - Zoom feature, not the Zoom app? ??
Monterey B6
I'm having trouble with both the Zoom.app and the System Prefs Zoom-in and Zoom-out feature.. I tried zoomnonmetal-new.command and it failed with the message:

mount_apfs: volume could not be mounted: Permission denied
mount: / failed with 66
/Applications/zoom.us.app/Contents/Frameworks/ZCommonUI.framework/Versions/A/ZCommonUI: replacing existing signature
Patched "/Applications/zoom.us.app".

I need to use Video for Zoom.app

You can use these commands

sudo sqlite3 ~/Library/Application\ Support/com.apple.TCC/TCC.db "INSERT or REPLACE INTO access VALUES('kTCCServiceMicrophone','us.zoom.xos',0,2,0,1,NULL,NULL,NULL,'UNUSED',NULL,0,1541440109);"

sudo sqlite3 ~/Library/Application\ Support/com.apple.TCC/TCC.db "INSERT or REPLACE INTO access VALUES('kTCCServiceCamera','us.zoom.xos',0,2,0,1,NULL,NULL,NULL,'UNUSED',NULL,0,1541440109);"

Mid 2010 Mac Mini Server, i7. Had Catalina on it then went to Monterey. Boots to the Apple bar goes across, mouse cursor comes up, spinning white ring, over and over. Almost gets stuck in a loop at that last part. Any thoughts? Big Sur works without issue from another drive, problem is the upgraded drive/OS has some software I don't feel like reloading. Thoughts? Two drives, each drive diff OS, both internal since it is the server. 0.2.5. Thank You for any help!

Does that mean I should NOT update to B7 until you guys have a fix?
I'm using Nvidia GTX 680 on 5,1 and a GT 330M on a MBP 2010 17".
Thanks
Non-Metal Macs should be fine (not yet validated, but have little reason to assume broken), however anyone with a Kepler GPU should avoid Beta 7

Hoping within the next couple days to have patches ready, though as mentioned without InstallAssistant proper validation will be delayed

Looking forward to seeing how this all works out when Monterey is out of beta. I unofficially have Big Sur on my late-2012 iMac and it works perfectly so I hope I can get at least another year out of it.
