You have to post install the HD4000 drivers, without them your MBP will be slow like molasses.yes I ATTEMPTED the volume patching, but with my model macbook OCLP deems it unnecessary.
Same thing here.have problems installing monterey beta 7 always a error while verifying firmware
we’re you updating thru software update or USB installer? I had that same error with OCLP 0.2.4 but 0.2.5/0.3.0 fixed it.Same thing here.
OCLP 0.2.5/0.3.0 - Macbook Pro 13'' 2010

I have tried both with latest OCLP n2.5 today. But, the same!we’re you updating thru software update or USB installer? I had that same error with OCLP 0.2.4 but 0.2.5/0.3.0 fixed it.
That's good to know. Just wonder if you can launch the default Photos app, which crashes on my 2011 iMac with HD6970 graphics card.So far no visible bugs other than the visual glitches that have been around since Big Sur
I have some 27-inch iMac. Part of my job is buying, upgrading and reselling Macs. In the video I left linked I used a 6970M 1GB, but unfortunately I no longer have the iMac used in the video to give you precise information, but I remember that in Big Sur the Photos application had already been fixed a few versions ago. Anyway I'll test it with a Radeon HD 5750 and it gave you feedbackThat's good to know. Just wonder if you can launch the default Photos app, which crashes on my 2011 iMac with HD6970 graphics card.
Edit: Just noticed you have a metal graphics card.
Thanks, mate. I can use the Photos app with Big Sur on the HD6970 card without crashing and no other obvious issues neither.I have some 27-inch iMac. I did this and my mac got stuck in a reboot loop shortly after the progress bar appears, sometimes getting kernel panics.the full install worked fine and I logged in and then ran the patcher and rebooted into a loop at login. Grrrr.
I used this method for the installer and the clicked on it on the desktop.. No USB key used.
1. Download Beta 7 from gibMacOS (21A5522h)
2. Run InstallAssistant
3. With The Unarchiver, unzip InstallAssistant
4. Right click the Install MacOS Monterey app from the Applications folder and Open Package Contents
5. Create a SharedSupport folder inside the Contents folder
6. Copy the contents INSIDE of SharedSupport.dmg (extracted from the InstallAssistant) to the SharedSupport folder inside the app
7. Run the installer as usual
Try OCLP instead: use Nightly OpenCore Patcher (TUI)I don't know what I'm even missing at this point. I'm running Opencore 0.7.3 on my Mac Pro 5.1,
None of my legacy machines (see signature) can be updated with the USB stick (ofc with the contents of SharedSupport added). For all, the error is the same as reported by @PDias. Tried with 0.2.4, 0.2.5, older and latest 0.3.0 nightly.I have tried both with latest OCLP n2.5 today. But, the same!

me, too!
All of you should start reading from page 61 onwards, you will find the answers there.I'm trying to update Monterey to beta 7 with delta update but when reboot I get the beta 6 again
OCPL 0.2.5, Monterey beta 6 install into externat USB 3
Update with delta, finish process, first reboot. Push ALT and it looks 2 different options Macintosh HD and SSD500 (name of the hard drive)
If I choose Macintosh HD for three times it reboot without finish status bar
If I choose SSD500 it began process but when finish I get previous beta
It's not the first time it happens to me but the last time I get the delta update at the second time I¡'m not sure how I achieve before
I tried via USB installer and also using the installer created by installassistant.pkg and still the same error occurs.we’re you updating thru software update or USB installer? I had that same error with OCLP 0.2.4 but 0.2.5/0.3.0 fixed it.
Same here. Got "Error checking the firmware" in 2nd reboot. Also checked with OCLP 0.2.5.I tried via USB installer and also using the installer created by installassistant.pkg and still the same error occurs.
See brags at #1,635, #1,646 and #1,677 worked without errors. Slow-motion OTA full-install and USB installer methods, booted and managed w/OCLP_030Same here. Got "Error checking the firmware" in 2nd reboot. Also checked with OCLP 0.2.5.
Anyone with a success story pls. post your setup (Machine, Open Core version, OCLP version + settings, etc.).
THX.
(And no, pages 68ff. won´t help, different topic there with ways to get a full image vs. only 34MB APP).

After that update I had a bunch of firmware and SMC update files within the EFI/APPLE folder.
After that I installed B6 again and succeeded with the VMWare trick, again. This time without the firmware files left in the EFI partition.
I tried via USB installer and also using the installer created by installassistant.pkg and still the same error occurs.
The only thing I would suggest is to update/Install OCLP to the startup disk, next shut down instead of a restart, hold the Option key when you start up (No restart) again, choose the EFI disk, next chose the Installer, this resolved it for me, the standard startup (Restart) without holding the Option key and let it automatically choose the disk did not work for me.Same here. Got "Error checking the firmware" in 2nd reboot. Also checked with OCLP 0.2.5.
