Hi, great result. I tried also with this opencore legacy patch 1.6. The problem is that when i run the , the Opencorepatcher returns that my macbook pro 2014 (11,3) is not supported… I tried to make it compatible with all models and made the build and install it to my usb key. When I boot on the usb I have an error that stops the process… not easy…
Haven't tried it. I have not noticed any change in this function from Big Sur. System report shows both GPU's:Does dynamic switching of GPUs work with or without disabling displaypolicyd?

Do you have a detailed method (which relase of oclp are you using ? And what settings are you using), thank you for your help
You may need to compile it from source.dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher

Me too! I have a 13' 2012 unibody with 16gb of RAM. (I hacked Big Sur a few weeks ago)Let the fun begin. Can’t wait to update my 2012 Unibody in September!! (Assuming the patcher supports it)
I feel the same way. It's sad really.yeah they want to drop intel macs ASAP. We have seen this before with PPC->Intel transition
I have a late 2013 11,3 which is the same as the mid 2014 except with lower clocked CPUs. I installed Monterey over an existing Big Sur install using the micropatcher (brave or foolish? we shall see). After the initial reboot with the Apple logo and the time remaining underneath the progress bar, the screen went black and back to the Apple logo and progress bar WITHOUT the time remaining 3 separate times, and at times it appeared as though it had hung but I just left it and it did eventually complete, it just took a very long time. Install probably took roughly an hour to complete. How long did you give it to progress before deciding it was hung? Usually, after the progress bar passes the first 1/6 of the bar or so, you can check if the machine hung by pressing caps lock a few times and seeing if the light cycles on and off. If the progress bar is past that point and the light on the button doesn't cycle, it may have hung. But I'd give the install at least an hour or so before assuming it's hung and resetting the machine.Hi, I’m happy you have Monterey installed on your MBP 2014. I also have a MBP Retina mid 2014 11,3. I tried the micropatcher but it hangs after a few minutes of installation. What method did you use to complete this installation `?
Alright, so I had a successful install on the test partition and proceeded to install successfully for the main partition. Screen resolution issue isn’t resolved, but since options exist (3008×1692) close to what I had been running (2880×1620), it’s fine.Tried to install using a test partition on my late 2014 5K iMac and got an error during the update that the startup disk could not be verified. The update didn’t succeed; I’m back on my regular Big Sur installation. Now the EFI seems to be somewhat goofed — my screen resolution options appear to correspond to those of a 4K iMac instead of 5K:
My Big Sur installation is otherwise untouched and working as usual.
Any advice, y’all? I’m torn between trying again on a test partition just running the installer from my Big Sur installation instead of Recovery, biting the bullet and just running the installer for my main installation to see if it gets fixed somehow, or just leaving it be unless there’s a good way to undo this.
Awesome !For anybody wondering: At this time, I am planning on creating a brand new patcher for Monterey. I plan on using a fully native approach (IE not using OpenCore), and supporting only Metal-comptible systems (2012 and later, plus older systems with upgraded video cards). If this ends up being a huge pain I may reconsider, but as of now I will start working on a patcher within the next few weeks.
Where can you find this v.0.1.7 , I didn’t find it on git

Check the first post of this thread, as usually. There has been a fork generated for Monterey …Where can you find this v.0.1.7 , I didn’t find it on git
Thank you, working perfectly in MacBookAir6,2.Hello everyone, decided to push very basic Monterey support in OpenCore Legacy Patcher to a new branch on Github. You can find a prebuilt .app below (you must be signed into Github, otherwise a 404 will result):
This build includes support for all the new models recently dropped like the 2013-2015 series as well as all the machines we previously supported. Note that HD4000 and non-Metal GPUs should not install macOS 12 as currently many experience boot-loops. We're still investigating

Is there a walkthrough for how to use?Thank you, working perfectly in MacBookAir6,2.

This is a minor cosmetic issues. Until yesterday the complete tool has only been used with Big Sur, but it turns out it can be used in the same way for Monterey.iMac Early 2009 ✅
Only Need patches. OCLP says „Only in macOS11“. Has any1 an Solution ?
