How did you apply the Kepler patch, manually?

Thank you!I've a running 12.0.1 installed/patched with oclp 0.3.1n from a few hours ago. I could easily replace its stock AppleMuxControl.kext with version 3.14.52b52 and see what happens.
I could get this version following your post, but if you have it available right away and could attach it, it would be even easier. Thanks!
tar -czvp -f AppleMuxControl.kext.tar.gz /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsControl.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleMuxControl.kext
, I had to rename it to .zip to upload it here, so please mv AppleMuxControl.kext.zip AppleMuxControl.kext.tar.gz
it when you've downloaded it ).Did you apply post-install patches?Mine seems to hang with display freeze after install. I think it's the dGPU.
What did you add / customise to make the NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M work?
Well I took the manual approach with OC . Non OCLP. Looking for a way to patch Kepler manually now.Did you apply post-install patches?
So good luckWell I took the manual approach with OC . Non OCLP. Looking for a way to patch Kepler manually now.
same here with cMP 5.1 using oclp 0.3.1I am still on 12.0 beta 10 without OTA update showing up for my 2x non-metal iMacs, even though "This Mac is enrolled in the Apple Beta Software Program" with the latest OCLP 031n. I am not too distressed about this if there is no simple solution for it and willing to wait for another 4 days?
Post-install patches applied?Hello,
I am on an iMac 27in late 2013 (14,2) and installed Monterey B10 using OCLP 0.3.0 and received/applied RC without a problem.
I am completely new to the OCLP and only used Monterey a couple of hours. I have noticed the following issues:
Attached is a screenshot of my About This Mac for the Graphics/Display.
- Sleep doesn't work. Explicitly choosing Sleep from the Apple menu or on the login screen doesn't do anything. Letting the mac unused for extend period just switch between blank screen and log in screen every 5 min but the screen did not shut off. The light bleed on the dark screen is obvious in a dark room.
- Brightness cannot be controlled. F1/F2 (or Fn F1/F2) doesn't do anything while the other keys F11/F12 for volume works.
- Metal doesn't seem to be enabled. According to docs, iMac late 2013 does support Metal on the NVDIA.
Graphic effects like the Genie Effect for minimizing and restoring windows is very slow and the whole UI freezes while it is doing it (the mouse cursor stops moving, doesn't react to any keyboard interaction). I disabled the Genie Effect thinking it is a work around but when I wanted to open the Disk Utility which in Launch Pad/Other, just getting the Other panel to open took at least 20 secs and the mouse was freezing and stuttering making it very hard to go pick a program.
I do not recall experiencing the issue when on B10 but I only used B10 at most 20 minutes as once I saw RC available I upgraded OTA. I recall opening Disk Utility while in B10 and I would have noticed if it WAS slow due to graphic acceleration issue.
In Grapher, the 3D does not show any graph.
Thank you.
I missed that step. Thank you very much for the quick reply. I was not sure my NVIDIA GeForce GT 755M graphic card WAS part of the NVIDIA Kepler that requires a patch.Post-install patches applied?
I have not done anything special than just go to Software update while in B10 and saw RC available. Then I went and removed the beta profile to not receive any beta update. My iMac 2017 27" running Monterey b10 and OCLP 0.31n also doesn't show the 12.0.1rc update.
As I recalled, the spool Mac ID might have been blocked from what I read in some message before, and needs to be changed to some others like iMac15,1 to receive the update.
Anyway, I would suggest just to wait for the final release in few days.
Read first page, compatibility list.Hey all
Before I go wading thru 89 pages.... does this work on the Late 2014 27" iMac Retina i7, and are there any things that are broken?
It seems Apple keeps a database for the unsupported Macs which have been running the beta Monterey for awhile and inevitably have sent some crash &/ diagnosis data to Apple so that the new beta update would be blocked.I have not done anything special than just go to Software update while in B10 and saw RC available. Had the same issue, if you install dev seed profile, it will offer 12.0.1 update.I am still on 12.0 beta 10 without OTA update showing up for my 2x non-metal iMacs, even though "This Mac is enrolled in the Apple Beta Software Program" with the latest OCLP 031n. OK, so the compability list tells me my machine isn't officially supported ..... which I know, and why I am here. The potentially can be patched list doesn't show my 15,1. So your answer isn't really of any help with what I specifically asked.Read first page, compatibility list.
But I see your 15.1 iMac in white list - "officially compatible but dropped support". So no great obstacles for patching except the infamous 5K bug.OK, so the compability list tells me my machine isn't officially supported ..... which I know, and why I am here. I can confirm that I still had the beta profile when I saw the RC update.Had the same issue, if you install dev seed profile, it will offer 12.0.1 update.
Yes, it's very strange - 12.0.1 offered once more!Hey everyone, although 12.0.1 is installed on my machine, I am getting another update alert. And it is nearly 12gb. I saw here updates are about 2-3 gb. Do I have to install nearly 12gb over and over again? I have mid 2012 MacBook Pro aka 9,2.
