View attachment 1877793Everything works flawlessly... except Airdrop. I can transfer data iPhone -> Mini but not iPhone <- Mini.
No biggie as this is an RC which may get ironed out with further development of Universal Control.

A huge thanks to @khronokernel / @dosdude1 / @dhinakg and the rest of the Dortania team for their work on OCLP!

Menubar Nerd section:

Hidden Bar.app
Podcastmenu.app (for Overcast.fm)
MEGA.io
Macs Fan Control.app

And a LOT of hidden icons in the collapsed section ?

Using the Amora icon set on the desktop and (hidden) Dock
I've got a Late 2012 Mac mini as well. Running 12.0.1. Just tried airdrop and works fine both ways mini to iPhone and iPhone to mini.

Installing this on a Mid 2012, 13" MBP as soon as possible ?
Will you let me know if there is noticeable lag time in processing speed upon upgrading to the final full release of macOS 12 Monterey? All the Beta's I tried were EXPONENTIALLY slower than Big Sur, on my mid 2012 A1278 MBP with 16gb of RAM and a 500 gb internal SSD drive

I checked any blog or forums sites and seems them not yet reported this link, anyway here is the App Store official url to download Monterey: https://apps.apple.com/app/macos-monterey/id1576738294?l=en&mt=12

This should allow to download directly the Install macOS Monterey.app rather than InstallAssistant.pkg but there is no difference the RC2 is the public build, so they officially don't added any landscape city pictures this time.

Ouch! That’s rough, but I will update. Just to be sure, this was with graphics acceleration?

I have just installed Monterey 12.0.1 in my CMPro 4,1>5,1 under OCLP 0.3.1. I downloaded the full installer from Apple store. Completely normal and smooth process. BlueTooth and Wifi working.

Thank you @Syncretic. After SurPlus
CMPros life have completely changed without race condition. Thanks to all of the
the rest of the OCLP team too!

Yes my Big Sur has graphics acceleration but Monterey I could not never get the color scheme right, at least on the Beta Versions

Interesting. I will definitely play with the open core patcher to see if that helps.

I did not like the performance for Big Sur on an early 2011 MBP, but holding out hope for these Mid 2012s after how well Big Sur was running.

Yeah I even updated to Big Sur 11.6.1 this morning, so I think what I’ll do is just partition my main SSD drive and install macOS 12 Monterey onto that. I have MORE than enough RAM with 16gbs, so I don’t know what might be slowing down macOS Monterey besides maybe necessary increased GPU output?

I’m not sure how familiar you are with running macOS on unsupported hardware, but without full gpu acceleration it’s going to be a miserable experience. This would be the case from 4GB all the way up to 128GB RAM. It’s a driver issue.

Still holding out hope! Hoping to try this out tonight or tomorrow. Already have the image ready to play with.

Have those weird graphics glitches on MacBook Pro’s from 2009 and 2010 have been solved? Like the side and top quick menu? And what about iMessage scrolling, has that been solved also?

Question: when upgrading from OCLP installation of Big Sur to Monterey, do we need to create a USB installer, or is it possible OTA?

OTA is possible, create and keep an Big Sur time machine backup just in case you have to go back. You should already see the update announced within the system software update preference pane. Update to the latest OCLP version in advance!

Has anyone tried the final version with a MacMini6,2 (core i7)? I tried using Patched Sur in the past and while it did install Big Sure (eventually after a few tries) I found it to be unstable with frequent Kernel Panics. I'm hoping that OpenCore will be more stable, but I'm wondering if I should wait a few weeks for the bugs to be ironed out.

not yet. I am still waiting for our Xavier @ASentientBot to come up with a miracle for all non-metal Macs including my iMacs, particularly for the iMessage scrolling issue.
As I've mentioned before, iMessage app works fine (scrolling) before the Post-Install Volume Patch is applied (without graphics acceleration). Once the graphics acceleration is applied, all Catalyst apps become very sluggish.
Ideally these Macs should be upgraded with supported metal graphics cards by following @Ausdauersportler 's wonderful work & posts in this area. But currently these cards have become very expensive to the point that it does not really make sense to upgrade, at least in my case. More importantly, sourcing a suitable graphics card is a very tricky task.

For those running this on the 27” 2014 iMac with the 4K screen glitch, is it a deal-breaker. Does the screen look naff? Any pics?

Please would you report your exact Macpro 3,1 configuration in signature and specifically, your Wi-Fi/BT configuration and GPU. Otherwise this post is of little value to others here.

I've not an any luck installing Monterey on my Mac Mini 4,1. During the install it complains about the inability to install a firmware upgrade, which I'm assuming is not something that supposed to happen regardless. I'm using oclp 0.3.0. Any ideas?

Hello everybody.
I have OTA installed Monterey to my 27" iMac 14.2 late 2013 under Big Sur 11.6.1 with OCLP 0.1.5. There are two problems, large and small.
Small: I can not turn off the SIP - in the recovery mode, the command in the terminal is executed, but after reboot the SIP is not disabled.
Large: No signal to external monitor (NEC PA301) via display port.
I would be grateful for your advice.
