wutWe just received a great gift for non-Metal machines: latest OCLP 054n.
Installed it on the EFI of my external disk on MBP5,2 which already has 13.2 beta on it, and applied the new root patches. BTW KDK was loaded and installed fine during patching.
Now:
- internal keyboard and mouse are working
- graphics acceleration is there.
More testing tomorrow.
Thanks to OCLP and non-Metal wizzards!

I thought you were from the future…was going to ask who wins the 2026 Super Bowl.
Duet is OpenCore Legacy (Duet UEFI firmware emulator)What does “duet” mean in this context?
do you mean that you’re using opencore and OCLP together, or is there a special program that’s been written called “duet“???
If there is, in fact, a program called “duet “, could you please post a link to that program or explain more about it?
Thank you, issue solved, the real problem was KDK folder to delete and download again, with OCLP 0.5.4 latest build.View attachment 2140363
update all good figured it out
what's the KDK folder?
I did a quick search but couldn't find a location for that folder, could you please give the path.
Thanks

Never.Running Ventura 13.1 on my Late 2013 iMac and for the most part it is great.
However, I seem to get spells where Pages, Number and MS Word/Excel both crash regularly. This doesn't, however, happen consistently.
Has anyone else had regular app crashes since installing Ventura on an unsupported Mac from a similar era?
Never.
Never for me too
Could be. Not sure, build log for Penryn MBP5,2 says that RSRHelper is added. Not for pre Haswell.
Delta or full installer update?Couldn't install the RSR update, even with the last 0.5.4, but update to beta 2 is 👍
OTA update, full installer I think (my system is patched).Delta or full installer update?
MBP5,2: Updated from 13.2b1 to b2 OTA (11.3 GB), latest OCLP 054n. Running fine.Could be. Not sure, build log for Penryn MBP5,2 says that RSRHelper is added.
Yet have to try it out.
Hello hvds,MBP5,2: Updated from 13.2b1 to b2 OTA (11.3 GB), latest OCLP 054n. Running fine.
During post-install patching, "Installing RSRRepair userspace utility" was reported - it seems this works also for Penryn.
So far there was no RSR though.

Hello RogueB,Hello hvds,
Congratulation on getting your MacBooK Pro 5,2 running Ventura.
I can install Ventura on an internal partition (an SSD) of my MacBook Pro 5,2, and machine will boot, but without keyboard or track functionality. Wired mouse and keyboard also do not work, thought power is being transmitted through USB ports as "laser" light in the mouse is on. Resetting power management or "PRam" has no effect on track or keyboard functionality. Changing method of Ventura installation, i.e, from other partition or USB stick, also has no effect on the final outcome (no keyboard nor trackpad). To paraphrase "I can look, but not interact". Used latest OCLP 0.5.4n (dated 1.9.23). Everything works perfectly under Monterey; internal keyboard and trackpad, as well as, all the wired devices.
I reviewed your other posts, but wonder if you may have installed some additional software in the initial stages of your "experimentation" with Ventura(?)
Any insight would be appreciated.
Superb work by the developers and all testers.
