Is this potentially a reason why some of us are having issues then? - the root patcher is using the SDK from the wrong version? 13.1 rather than 13.2?
You can check in the Library/Developers/KDKs folder, there should be a folder there named "KDK_13.2_22D49.kdk".
I am not well informed about this subject but I would assume that was the reason my last install got messed up. The interesting thing is that during that install, I noticed the size of the KDK download was about 570MB (the KDK for 13.2 was about 670MB during the later download and it gets expanded to 3.2GB), so I knew it was not the correct one, but there is no way to stop the installation procedure during the install. That procedure actually finished with the Root patches installed, but the resulting system had several "Oh No" glitches; no iCloud sign-in possible, graphic delays and no acceleration, etc. Well thanks to the OCLP devs, I now have a very useable Ventura install! The pathway to success was rough, but the results are great!

Do we need to download the 13.2 SDK manually then?

Anyway to enable Advanced Data Protection without removing the computer we’ve installed Ventura using this method?

Whenever I try to turn it on, a prompt asks to remove my iMac because it officially can’t run Ventura.

I had to. OCLP can’t giving me an error saying it couldn’t retrieve it and I believe the developers said that functionality has temporarily stopped working.
See Post #3089 for that Link.
However, during my install today, OCLP 0.6.1 downloaded the correct KDK for Ventura 13.2 (after it downloaded the wrong one on a previous attempt). So Your Milage May Vary.

Well happy bunny today after installing Ventura on my Mac pro 5,1 and my old and crusty iMac 10,1

Now once I iron out the teething issues, we’ll be good to go

Cheers, I'll pull it down to be sure. Is OCLP 0.6.1 the recommendation for 13.2 ?

Opencore Legacy - Ventura 13.1 and 13.2 bugs

renderTimingPixel.png

Install MacOS Ventura from version 13 to current 13.2, on a macbook Pro 9.2 mid 2012, 13-inch, IntelHD4000, i7 2.9, 8gb Ram, using opencore legacy from version 0.5.1, 0.5.3 and now 0.6.1 ( last) and in all versions I have the same errors errors that I don't know how to correct.
1._ Font Book application not working, no fonts installed in the system are visible, they are all invisible, I noticed that before applying "Post install Root Patch" it was working correctly, but once applied it stopped working completely, somehow the patch renders it useless.
2._ The weather application is totally dead, again the patch ruins it.
3._ Magic mouse 2, it works perfectly until I put my mac in sleep mode, once the system wakes up, the mouse loses all scrolling functions and the only way to get it working again is to disconnect and turn off the peripheral several times times.
4._ Some keys stop working randomly, connecting a USB keyboard they work again.
I would appreciate your help for these problems.

Some real strange things going on with the installer, clearly it's still beta. So installed this for a second time. Still got the weird fail install, boot to recovery which seems to be a feature only in Ventura, but as before a reboot finished the install. First time around the installer didn't install install root patches as part of the install. When I when to check under //library there was no developer folder at all to check the SDK version. On a second attempt root patches were installed as part of the installation and I've checked and the SDK is 13.2 so all good. However still major problems on non metal with none of the menus working as they are blacked out even after enabling all the blur stuff under non metal. I wasn't able to change the colour profile as one earlier poster said due to the massive blacked out sections. Even when clicking in the black I was able to get rotation, 60 hz but no colour picker. Here's hoping the Devs fix these bugs for the next OCLP release as it's pretty unusable on non metal, sad to say. Otherwise back to Monterey!

# OpenCore Legacy Patcher changelog
## 0.6.2
- Work around Black Box rendering issues on certain Display Color Profiles

Great !! Thanks
Patch applied, i don't understand, with GarageBand ( free Midi Apple Software):

Translation from image : Unable to initialize graphics. This scenario typically occurs when running in an unsupported VM or Mac environment. If someone knows a workaround ?
Thanks

Now happily on 13.2 on my 2015 iMac 27 inch after a clean install. One thing I have noticed is that my desktop background wallpaper setting no longer offers the pop-up menu to tile the image - the menu is missing. On my 2011 iMac 27 inch the option is present, so this may have something to do with the patches for AMD GCN 1-3 as opposed to AMD Terascale. No matter - New Year, new wallpaper - that is fine, but I thought I would post this here in case it is an issue with OCLP patching. Massive kudos to the dev team on the amazing job getting so many older machines revived - simply incredible work!

It is for this reason that I bid farewell to Ventura.
Not just Chrome, but also youtube, infuse Pro and more.

Late 2015, 27" iMac (i7 6700k+R9 M395X)
I'm really on the fence with saying goodbye to macOS completely. Apple's focus has changed and while I still appreciate the Mac, and Apple products in general. I'm torn with the current Mac line up. I would consider buying a new Mac if Apple did an apple silicon 27' iMac, but if I'm going to have to buy a Mac Mini, or Studio and a separate display ti continue with a Mac Desktop, might consider just getting a non apple branded intel computer, or building one to have the control and flexibility that Apple used to have to a larger degree but has slowly taken away over the years. I'm not so much upset about having to buy a new computer at some point. I just feel Apple is limiting me to what I can upgrade to unless they change their line up in the next year or two. I know that they have the 24" iMac, but it is too small for me, and lacks ports. I used to have a separate computer / monitor years back. However, the 27" iMac has been the best computer I've had in a long time. not simply for performance, but also size and portability. This really was apparent over the move I just made from Florida to Louisiana. The iMac was so easy to move and get up again fully functional in limited space, and even now in my new place. It's nice and out of the way, but also fully functional.

In doing so it's not tiny, or oversized. I consider it the perfect blend. If I'm going to continue with Apple I have the expectations they will offer me the same in an apple Silicon configuration at some point.

Can I build a USB installer for 13.x to 13.2 on a different machine ? On the Settings menu, it allows you to select the machine type which I presume is for the machine it will be used on. It defaults to the machine it's running on, obviously.

Successfully updated my Macbook Air 4,2 to Ventura 13.2 from Monterey 12.6.3 and it runs amazing with just 4 GB of RAM! I'd say better than how it was performing on Monterey.

A problem I've had in both MacOS Monterey and MacOS Ventura is that I have to disable post root patches because of screen recording permissions not allowing any app that requires it to recognize that it has already been enabled.

Anyone have any ideas why this might be?

I have the same Mini, used the same version of OCLP, and didn't need the USB hub when installing for some odd reason. Did you try an install without it, or just used the hub based on knowing the issue with some Macs? Just a curiosity question.

For what it's worth, my keyboard is an old wired aluminum Apple full keyboard, and a Logitech wireless mouse w/dongle attached to the keyboard. I don't suppose that matters, though.
According to the bug report, the issue is that the usb1.1 drivers were removed. So it probably worked for you because your keyboard and mouse were usb2.0.

I’m pretty sure it was still in my Applications folder. I can’t remember whether I ran it from Applications, or straight from my Downloads folder.

Hello,
Just a note that I today successfully upgraded my old MBA 3,2 and it is now running Ventura 13.2 with OCLP 0.6.1 Pretty much all appears to be working apart from Stage Manager (known). Even the nice metal apps that I really want to be able to run like the Home, Photos, Music, Podcasts, and Maps Apps appear to work with some workarounds.
Appears to run better than Monterey so far on this MBA.
If anyone has found a workaround for how to get past some of the initial metal welcome dialog boxes in as well as the ones for accessories in Home especially, I would like to hear it. Many thanks to the fab devs as always!
Still amazed by the quality of this project. So very useful and helpful!
Bluetooth and Wifi working? All the ports working?

Thanks for the report. Will me making the plunge on my MBA 4,2 (mid-2011) soon, still haven't seen any reports of that model working well with Ventura, I guess I'll be first.

Yay! I have a 4,2 also, haven't seen a report yet until yours. I guess I won't be the first.

So you don't have acceleration... or which patches are you disabling, all of them? My 4,2 has been running Monterey for six months or so without significant issue, with the default patches. I did a clean install.

Can you try installing an older version? This worries me, I need garageband to work.

Did you mean "appears to run better than Monterey?"

Yes, that is what I meant, have edited my post. Edit your quote from me if you have a moment to not confuse anyone?
Yes, all ports working. Be sure to have an external keyboard and mouse ready, as the onboard keyboard and trackpad becomes unresponsive until you apply the patches.
