Hello guys!
I just tried it with latest patcher and 2016 13" TouchBar MacBook Pro... just like Dosdude's Mojave patcher on NVIDIA Tesla 2.0 cards, Chrome and Brave don't work (graphical issue).
So that's great, it clearly means that there is an issue with the GPU support, given that these apps don't require Metal.

Tried it on the same year device without TouchBar, same issue. Downloaded newest Ventura and OCLP multiple times!

I don't think it will work. Generally, it's best to make a usb installer with OCLP for the major macOS releases.
On the other hand, incremental releases can be updated over the air with much ease.
At least, that is what I have done since the OCLP era..
If someone has a better understanding of this, please collaborate
@909allday – thanks for your thoughts.

But I have good news. Because my USB installer didn't work (always an installer error dialog at some point of the installation progress – explained in an earlier post ...) I had the idea to simply go from Monterey to Ventura via Software Update.

Believe it or not, it worked!

It looks like the "broken screen" issue in the attached screenshots still haven't been resolved (imac 13.1). Anyone know if the devs are working on a fix? Its a pretty major glitch as it requires a hard reboot to fix (via the power button). Curious to see how older imacs are performing given this issue.

I just did the same thing with a similar configuration:

Mac Pro 3,1 2x3.0 Ghz
Nvidia GeForece GTX 680
28 GB of RAM

I used a second boot SSD I have for testing which already had Monterey on it. The update from software update went surprisingly well, especially since I wasn't counting on this machine ever running Ventura. So now I have to determine if I want to do the same thing for my primary boot drive since this is my main personal machine (still). My primary work machine next to it is a M1 MacBook Pro 14" and it laughs at this antique next to it. :)

FYI, the latest Transcend JetDriveToolbox 4.3 crashes (while 4.2 worked without problems), complaining in the log about not finding the GoogleReporter.framework library, in various locations (no such file, not in dyld cache): only in Ventura (in Monterey, it just works). Another strange thing: in /Library/Extensions, there still are two quite old Apple kexts, AppleDataSetManagement.kext (from 2015) and AppleMobileDevice.kext (from 2019), on both my MBPs; I don’t remember which programs could have installed them, but they are probably obsolete now, being so old: thus, they can safely be deleted, probably…?

Huh. now that you mention it I don't even have the Battery pane on my MBA 7.2 (OCLP 0.61 Ventura 13.2) in clamshell mode.
Okay, it is back after a reboot.

I had to reboot because CMD key shortcuts in some apps would cause the app the crash, but worked fine in others. I also noticed when this happens that the Displays pane is present, but does not load when selected. Reboot fixes both the CMD key shortcut crash, and the Display pane loading.

Deleted, rebooted. It does not work, it finds a mouse on BT, I press the connection - it thinks - it's connected, but the mouse does not work.

Uh, how exactly did you do that... how did you get the upgrade dialog to show?

The Ventura upgrade was offered conventionally via Monterey's Software Update in Preferences here.View attachment 2148769
If it doesn't show up, try to press command-r several times ...
That came up on my 2009 MBP yesterday that has Monterrey and OCLP 0.6.1....I was SO tempted to click on "install" but didn't feel like spending countless hours fixing the problem. I just might give it a go on my next free day. Thanks....

iMac 15,1 2014…. Upgraded OCLP to 0.6.1 and did 13.2 update inside macOS. Installed fine but failing to install root patches. Get the attached error. I have manually downloaded and installed the 13.2 KDK. HELP!!

I have the same iMac. I went through that situation several times. I think you should delete the contents of the EFI partition - everything - with the MountEFI utility (search on Github), do a PRAM reset, install OCLP 0.6.2, latest version, followed by the Root Patch again to get the system running correctly! If that works, keep your hands off, leave it alone and hope it stays alive and well.;) (quoted from my previous post)

Haha cheers! I actually resolved it by deleting the KDK that I'd manually installed, and then the root patcher downloaded it and all the patching worked. Must do something different when it downloads it itself. So, all working fine now. Will just install OCLP 0.6.2 and will leave well alone!!

Very cool! As I use to say: Every day with this machine is a gift! 😊

I've been running this on my MBP 11,1 with both 13.1 and 13.2 and am so grateful to the developers for their work in making this happen - for some use cases it can be a luxury to update to newer versions of macOS, but with Xcode's OS requirements it makes the difference between keeping the machine running and retiring it completely.

I do have one possible bug report, and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem: automatic screen brightness doesn't work. It could be a hardware fault, but it worked on Monterey and doesn't seem like something that would just break suddenly, especially around the same time I've updated to Ventura.

Hi All, I'm on OCLP 0.6.1 on 13.2 (mid 2015 retina mbp 15) When i checked the display color profile, it's set to Color LCD. is this correct. Colors look washed out to me.

Thank you

Mine is as well .... colors looks normal. However, I never went beyond that---I'll look at it again when I get home, but I do only have the "color LCD" option only.

EDIT--Nevermind. I have all the options listed below. I do have the same year/model as you though. I can check anything else if needed.

I installed Ventura 13.1 earlier on my MacPro so when OCLP was updated to 0.6.1 I decided to upgrade to 13.2. Kudos to all involved in the Open Core development. Without your efforts we would not be able to extend the life of these still useful machines.

There are still issues and it is understood. Bluetooth is still nonfunctional but with the limitations I can still use my MacPro tower for my needs.:apple:

I use a fenvi FV-T919 WiFi and Bluetooth PCIe card in a MacPro 3,1 and it works great with Ventura. The power for the Bluetooth module comes from another USB 3 PCIe card's internal port ...

Just wanted to throw this out there.... For Ventura & Bluetooth if you are going to do the BCM94360CD upgrade, you could get one of these and connect it to the USB 2.0 "hub" adapter...

Hello all, Running very smoothly on installed OTA Ventura 13.2 update with Opencore v.0.6.1. All major apps (MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Photoshop, InDesign, Parallels Desktop 18.1.0, etc.) System functions (BT, WiFI, Airdrop, etc. opening and working efficiently without a glitch. Overall this Ventura update "feels" very responsive. Dortania & Co. are the Da Vinci of the MacOS for us of the unsupported Mac World.

Could you please describe exactly how you wired the Fenvi card. It would be awesome if you could send some photos as well. I also have a 802.11AC Fenvi T919 PCIe card BCM94360CD. As it was required when I bought it, the Fenvi T919 PCIe card is connected to the USB D+ and D- on the backplane board where the original bluetooth card was. Everything worked fine in Monterey. Now in Ventura there is no bluetooth (Wifi works). I have a USB 3 card installed as well. If I should connect it there, where exactly?

A black cable is included with the fenvi card. I connected the small white connector on one side to the fenvi card and connected the USB-A plug on the other side to the internal USB port of this PCIe card:

That's all! :)

@xlw108 Edit: I forgot, that you need another cable to get to the internal USB port, sorry!

Something like this:

Yeah that’s still an issue, as well as YouTube in Safari really taxing the CPU.

I have this issue as well. Fans spin up when simply watching YouTube videos in Safari. It has been like that in previous Ventura dot releases as well.

Thank you. Does your color look washed out on the screen?
