You are right: there are problems with sleep, on the MBP11,3 with OCLP 0.5.3… I made some quick tests, and it looks like automatic sleep works, while manual sleep (from the Apple menu) only partly works (with external SSDs going to sleep only randomly/sometimes); and sleep by closing the lid doesn’t seem to work at all: the Apple logo light turns off, but when the lid is opened again, there isn’t any password request, only the desktop, exactly as before. Yet another Nvidia Kepler issue, perhaps…?

nvram reset did the work for me. under the week whenever the Mac went to sleep bluetooth disconnected too

Hi all,

Ventura13.2 successfully installed on cMP4,1-5,1 with RX 580 GPU.

After Root Patching with OCLP 0.6.1 and more than 10 hours of testing, 13.2 seems more fluid and responsive than Big Sur 11.7.3

Bluetooth work perfectly with BCM94360CD card (I removed the USB 2.0 hub added earlier and plugged in the BCM94360CD D+ and D- output directly on one of my USB 3.0 PCI card inputs)

My 12 years old MacPRO 4.1-5.1 with AMD XFX Radeon RX 580 8GB has also installed very smoothly in about an hour Ventura 13.2 using OCLP 0.6.2.

It seems to works as fluently as Monterey but boot process is faster.
My Bluetooth BCM94360CD AirPort Express is not working but wifi is ok. I will study the USB 2.0 hub procedure but it seems difficult in my hands.

Thank you so much to all the people here and specially all the amazing OCLP team.

My old MBP has been waiting for this update. Everything appears to be running normalish.

I get random application not responding, but I've chalked that up to my extended monitor producing more heat and depending on what I'm doing, using more RAM. For the most part it's running quiet.

Everything seems to be working great so far on my 2016 MacBook Pro EXCEPT for not getting video from the other person during FaceTime video calls.

I am using 0.6.1 Macpro 5.1 with Radeon RX 580 8GB and after installed Ventura in a clean SSD it boots to a black screen. How do I fix this?

I'm going to take a guess and say its your video card. I have 4 Mac Pro 5,1 machines with no issue. My video Cards are a AMD R9 and EVGA NVIDIA GTX 680

I have the same video card and same MacPro. But I boot to a black screen in Ventura. How did you managed to boot without issue?

I did a clean install in a NVME M2 (PCI Express). I used OCLP 0.6.2 (I don't know if it is the difference)
I created an USB Ventura Install 13.2 using the GUI of OCLP in my cMPro using my Mojave -out of Opencore- . My Opencore EFI folder is in a HD in Bay 1.
My RX580 is not flashed. It has the original factory firmwares.
I used my USB 3.0 card to plug the keyboard and Mouse. Internal low speed USB controllers (UHCI/OHCI) doesn't work until OCLP patch is installed
Good luck!

It’s there is a workaround to fix the black screen issue when Ventura boot? Do I have to boot in safe mode?

I am not an expert but the solid black dock usually indicates the lack of graphic acceleration. You might need to re-apply the root patches.

You could try using this utility to use either the Intel GPU or the discrete GPU.
Latest version is 2.5.
It was a good idea, but unfortunately it does nothing, even by selecting integrated or discrete, nothing is changing... so disabling the discrete is the only solution for me right now, losing my AMD Radeon graphic card on my MBP early 2011 17" 8,3

The OCLP 0.61 patch on the SSD is already installed with built date of 1/23. Like I said before I don’t have any problem booting to Monterey or previous OS. I created the Ventura USB using OCLP 0.61.

I created my USB Ventura Install 13.2 using the GUI of OCLP in my cMPro using my Mojave -out of Opencore-. I am not an expert here but I think OCLP creates the USB installer with custom files according to your cMPro and GPU.

The black screen in RX580 -even although it is a Polaris GPU- has been an issue from the beginning of OCLP Ventura Parching until the latests versions: Read these #1,992 ; #1,756 and #3,092 from this thread

Does anybody have positive experience of getting bluetooth really working on MBP9.1 (BCM 20702 chip)?
Mine is "up" and can display neighbouring devices, sometimes even try to pair with iphone, but no result. Meanwhile WiFi works correctly and under 10.14.6 the same BT works fine.

Thank you for your help. Apparently, while I was reinstalling the system, I got tired and forgot about "sudo". You correctly noted that there will be no sense from this utility, since there is no working driver for a discrete card. It remains only to wait for a working driver from the developers.

Thanks to all for keeping the relics alive! 😀

Yep this is a known issue with hd3000 graphics. I have exactly the same issue on Mac mini 5,1. We just have to wait for a fix. OCLP 0.6.2 change log states there is a fix for this but I've tried it and it doesn't work.
for me, OCLP 0.6.2 nightly exactly fixed the settings issue on Mac mini 5,1 with HD3000, i5 2,3 Ghz.
I initially did a clean install on internal SSD with OCLP 0.6.1 and after some days of not using it installed root patches with OCLP 0.6.2 nightly again today.

I've got your identical setup but have been nervous making the jump from Big Sur to Ventura, I was just wondering if you've had any issues.

So I managed to do the work around by selecting unknown display which removed the black marks, but that was after I had already tried OCLP 0.6.2 without success. Are you saying the black areas disappeared for you without having to apply the display work around? Seems very strange how people can have different experiences with the same setup!
