Has anyone noticed since going to Monterey or Ventura the WiFi seems slower than it used to be?
I have noticed that Ventura is less responsive in general than Monterey (which is less responsive than Big Sur, which is less responsive than High Sierra) on my MBP6,2, but raw Wi-Fi speed as measured by an online speedtest is unchanged.

I pay for 100Mbps down/10Mbps up:

Screenshot 2023-05-16 at 5.08.22 PM.png

and as you can see (from these measurements in Ventura 13.3.1), my Wi-Fi is not slowing me down. It's as good as my wired Ethernet.

To be sure about whether "Wi-Fi seems slower," you might want to run speed tests in Big Sur, Monterey and Ventura to see if the issue you're observing is actually Wi-Fi (and not app performance).

Ventura 13.3.1 results, Ookla Speed test, Kyoto to Tokyo Japan
No slow down noticed, WiFi is not as fast as ethernet, but fast enough to use

i tried this and 13.3 still downloads and not 13.3.1. i dont know what i am doing wrong
You're not doing anything wrong. If I remember correctly when I was going through the same thing, 13.3.1 was a smaller "supplemental" update.

I downloaded and installed/flashed USB with what said, 13.3. Upon almost completing, a secondary update bar appeared with a percentage. It booted and said 13.3.1 🤷‍♂️

Regardless you're on a fresh install.

After installation of OCLP 0.6.6n of today, Sleep Mode on my MacBookPro4,1 is functioning again.
You developers are awesome and exceptional specialists in your fields!
Same MBP 4,1, 2,5 GHz, 6 GB RAM, GeForce 8600M GT 512 MB, 480 GB SSD, bcm943602cs (through adaptor) for native wifi and bluetoth, USB3 ExpressCard/34.
My MBP it goes to sleep from the menu or lid close, it wakes ok pressing any button or open lid, but I don't have screen backlight. I can acces it via share screen from another machine.
Dev's any advice?

What hibernation mode is set? Use the terminal code: pmset -g
command to check.
The default is usually hibernatemode 3. You can try code:

sudo pmset -a hibernatemode 0

to see if that makes a difference.

I have an 11,4 and updated to 13.3.1....all was good for about a week or so and now it doesn't wake up from a sleep. I have to hold the power button and reboot. I keep my laptop plugged in and set to "Never---deep sleep". Would the above work or simply wait for 13.4? It's weird, 13.3.1 resolved another annoying problem I had but replaced it with a more annoying problem...LOL

Same hibernatemode 3 and 0. Thank you!

Does @roysterdoyster also have this problem?
He just PM´d me and reported that with 0.6.6n the sleep issue on his MBP4,1 is gone. Seems to work again!
Will check this later today on my machine.
Note that BL behavior might also depend on the type of lighting: CCFL versus LED. Only the high-rez glossy MBP4,1 have LED to my knowledge, and I had troube of getting BL back up again after sleep (even after login) from ca. Mojave times on... so I swapped my MBP4,1 to the LED version a few years ago and trouble in this field ended.

Apple TV still does not play movies; Safari YouTube+NetFlix streaming continues to work. Pages/Numbers quit while inserting image (jpg); Preview continues to open images (jpg). Using OCLP 0.6.6.
Does Apple TV crash and brings you to LogIn Screen or just freeze Screen/no Play Action? More details would be useful

Installing any of the Release Candidates removes the dreaded RSR. I got tired of seeing the notification and installed RC2. (on 11,4 spoofed to 14,3). No problem with sleep either (the laptop's, not mine :)).

Oh ok, so it's probably unrelated to the new PCI patch.

Apple seeded macOS 13.4 RC3 (22F66) to developers
MBP5,2: new 13.4RC (22F66) with latest OCLP 0.6.6n. Installed OTA on external SSD, root patched, running fine.
Needed a 2nd attempt with OTA this time, maybe a download problem 1st time which brought me back to previous RC.

Where can you download any of the RCs? Mr Macintosh doesn't have them....

(2) MBP11,1 13" end 2013, 11.x native internal, 12.x and 13.x with OCLP external SSD.

🤔 How does it work that I can use macOS 13.2.1 on the internal SSD and the latest version of macOS 13 Ventura on an external SSD - but I can access my data on the internal SSD from BOTH - so also from the EXTERNAL SSD with 13.4 to the data, which is found under 13.2.1?

As I understand it, a separate data disk is created for each macOS.

Would be great if someone has a tutorial on this.

Sign up for the Apple public beta program (goggle it).
Or wait a few days for the official release, can't be long now.
I got this update but says nothing about BETA---is this 13.4

macOS Ventura 13.4 includes the following enhancements and bug fixes:

• Sports feed in the sidebar of Apple News gives easy access to stories, scores, standings, and more, for the teams and leagues you follow

• My Sports score and schedule cards in Apple News take you directly to game pages where you can find additional details about specific games

• Resolves an issue where Auto Unlock with Apple Watch does not log you into your Mac

• Fixes a Bluetooth issue where keyboards connect slowly to Mac after restarting

• Addresses a VoiceOver issue with navigating to landmarks on webpages

• Fixes an issue where Screen Time settings may reset or not sync across all devices

Some features may not be available for all regions, or on all Apple devices.

I have complete and independent sets of data on the internal and external SSDs.
The internal is my production disk.
The data on the external are a CCC clone of the internal, incrementally updated from time to time, so are duplicates. That is OK since the external SSD is strictly for testing so I don't want to let the test system interfere with the production data. And - I have no idea how to let both work on a single set of data.

Right - there are no full installers (i.e. InstallAssistant.pkg) yet for the RCs. Last full installer was for 13.4 beta4.
So the update would have to go "OTA" via System Settings / Software Update. Need to enable beta usage for this.
Better wait a few more days for the 13.4 release.
