Hi everyone, I rolled back to Ventura 13.2.1 (with OCL 0.6.1) on my Imac 13.2 (2012 Late) 27inches . Everything works great (and reading all the issues everyone listed here I won't) but I've got a littke issue that I can't figure out. I connected a usb hub bought on Amazon (https://www.amazon.it/gp/product/B09H75KCWD/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and connected 4 hard drives. Since the power supply is independently powered I eliminated the problem I encountered when using one without power (the Mac can't support/manage power to 4 external hd ssds...apparently). Now the problem is that every time I restart the computer it is fixed on the white screen without proceeding with loading the operating system. At this point IF I unplug the usb hub, suddenly the mac begins to load the operating system correctly and only after logging in do I plug it back in and everything works correctly. Understand that I can not every time I turn on the mac plug and unplug the usb hub. Does anyone have any suggestions on this?
Thx for attention
Ale
I recently returned this item https://www.amazon.it/VAYDEER-Adatt...r_1_14?qid=1685351075&sr=8-14&srs=17085315031 cause it booted corretly but the installed ssd disconnected continuosly. I think that if we read feedbacks also better than 4 in all languages we don't buy some devices. Look my signature and see how many devices are connected.

I am curious, did anyone find a solution (apart from moving to icloud) for this error message?

That's weird, can you get a crash log from 13.2.1?
@educovas, try create macos project, goto scheme > run > info > executable > Mail.app

run app and you get a crash:
Bash:
Message from debugger: The LLDB RPC server has crashed. You may need to manually terminate your process. The crash log is located in ~/Library/Logs/DiagnosticReports and has a prefix 'lldb-rpc-server'. Please file a bug and attach the most recent crash log.

Updated: on macos 13.4 without root patch it works properly, but macos is not good

I did downgrade, but the message keeps there. I can’t remember if it did work using 13.2 or 13.2.1 before. Also maybe it was a beta version.
Maybe device depended; i have an iMac 2014 and a MBP 2015, both have the same issue; the newer machine’s ( non OCLP ) are working fine.

BTW I still got issues with the mouse pointer; an offset of the pointer and the click, happens when I use a second screen.

Thx for reply.
I suppose too it's because of external device. It's incredible .... impossible to find some good usb hub.
Warm regards
Ale

Does anyone knows why this happens?

I know that SIP needs to be disabled on old Macs, but why does it affects the official OS install that's on another volume? I have Ventura 13.4 running fine on a mid 2012 Macbook, and I also keep Catalina (last oficial for this Mac) on another volume. But after installing Ventura some apps were behaving strangely, slow, and found out that SIP was also disabled on Catalina. I re-enabled it, apps fine again. But whenever a boot to Ventura SIP on Catalina also gets disabled.

Is there a way to automate on the EFI to re-enable SIP before Catalina boot?

I may be doing something wrong but I don't know what. I have downloaded the AMFI bypass patcher, I did the install-reboot-patch-reboot-patch-reboot sequence many times. And still VMWare Fusion won't work. The attached file shows Disable AMFI is unselected. Any ideas what I did wrong? MBP11,4/14,3

Your problem is probably that you are not resetting PRAN when you go from one macOS to another.

Also, Catalina does not need OpenCore, therefore, it should be selected at the first boot menu while Ventura needs to be selected at the second boot menu after it loaded OpenCore in the first boot menu.

I've been running Ventura 13.2.1 for regular use of my MBP6,2. Aside from being amazed that this 2010 laptop still runs the latest MacOS, I'm amazed at how good of a job the OCLP Devs have done to enable power management. With the AppleIntel power management kexts, my laptop fan hardly runs and the laptop is VERY responsive. Can't say enough how much I appreciate the way OCLP has extended the life of this trusty old companion. Well done, Devs!

Thanks! Reset PRAM worked, much better than entering recovery mode to enable SIP.

Was already using the first boot menu procedure for Catalina and Windows (non EFI install).

Would be nice tough to have OCLP just re-enable SIP for oficial install. My point is, if it can disabled it automatically when I boot Ventura it should be easy to re-enable SIP selectively.

Thank you for the quick reply!

Yes, it would be nice in case of dual boot with a stock os and an opencore modded os to be sure to have stock security settings for the Apple supported os
I don’t know if it’s technically feasible

Understood. So yo need to apply twice but with the same parameter chosen (AMFY disabled “UnChECKED”)

I just want to to say that for me is working just in the first attempt. At least VM are working again
When using AMFIpass beta2 on MBP5,2, I left the settings untouched just inspected them.
At the beginning of the sequence of steps 1-8 "Disable Library Validation" and "Disable AMFI" were both checked (upto step 4 iirc). Thereafter both were unchecked.
SIP settings remained unchanged.

Imac27, late 2012/13.2/Ivybridge--13.5/6.7--I did the AMFI beta test, followed the instructions, went smoothly, no problems I can detect.

I've experienced something similar with my Apple USB keyboard; macOS enables the keyboard to provide more power to the USB ports of the keyboard. The higher power is hence only available after booting into macOS.

Some kind of good news? Can you supply some more information; Did you update to 13.4 with OCLP 0.6.6 or..... Did you remove the old patches.
I installed clean 13.4 with OCLP 0.6.6, after setup the user I did not apply a root patch.
Then installed Xcode and tested problems with GPUCompoler - works ok.
Installed OCLP 0.6.7 - Xcode works.
Applied the root patch - Xcode stopped working.

But without root patch mbp11, 3 has another issue with screen resolution, performance, etc.

I tried to build a custom OCLP without PrivateFramework patches, but have problems on Python build step.

Hello,
I have been using OCLP on my mid 2014 rMBP since the first Ventura release. Nearly everything has been perfect so far.

However lately I have noted that there is no way for the apps to ask for permission, when they for instance have to access videocamera, disk, and so on.

Is there a way to solve this annoying issue? Please help, thanks,
Daniele

I did a full install of 13.4 using 0.6.7 on a mbpro 6,1 and was unable to install the root patches untill I tried installing them with 0.6.6 and that worked!
Oh well as long as I got it done! lol

Xcode-V 14.3 (14E222b) works good here macBook Pro 11.1 Root patch AMFIpass beta2
Same here but when I build a project it just bounces in the dock forever.. I just need to open the app in it's location and then it opens right away.
yayy lol

The GPUCompiler crash happens because we need to use those dsc extracted binaries to fix 13.3+ graphics acceleration through root patches, it won't work without them. Couldn't really understand why it's also crashing on 13.2.1 though...
