Are you sure? How could you end in a boot loop if OC doesn't load?
Try to search for "Safe Mode" in this thread - depending on your hardware you might find something there.

Hello, I had promise to explain how I installe a new MacOs : I create a new volume (in the same container) with disk utility. It is possible to have more than one system on you Mac. Not problem with OCPL. When I install MacOs I select all drive to select the second drive. So I have always 2 MacOs on my Mac. On booting, a screen display 2 icons to choose your MacOs. (if not, use the option key). If everything is correct, select the new drive with the control panel stratup disk. You don't have to reinstall software. All my software are on another disk (or partition). I use lot of technical software, 3D et development, so if a software don't works with this new config, I switch on the old one. For the document, I use googleDrive/dropbox so everything is reinstalled.The install is always a clean install. Just one problème, to do this you need a 256gb ssd minimum. Don't forget the OCPL post install on each MacOs.

BTW, still present in the latest Compressor 4.6.5 update (with OCLP 0.6.7 amfipass-v4): not a big deal - at least for me (YMMV) - and will probably be fixed in 0.6.8+…
Having formerly upgraded using OpenCore patcher to Monterey and being really happy with the whole experience on a 2012 quad core i7 Mac Mini with EVO 870 SSD and no known problem. I decided to try and go for Ventura becasue I don't want to be so far back when Sonoma comes out, and spent too long stuck on Catalina with it's various issues.
I could not be happier so far with Ventura but it's still early days. I do miss the old system preferences look because that has been around for a long time not just Apple for the nostalgia value. Ah...
What stuck me most is MM may be running better, it seems as if there is a less CPU load or load overall. I don't know what Apple has achieved with Ventura under the hood and it's not built for this generation of mac, but I have the fans set to kick in sooner with CPU temp spikes, which give a more audible indicator of sudden and increased system loads, recently Monterey was spinning up the fans a lot with the spinning beechball of death, but so far on Ventura, performance seems better on this front, less fans whirling and no beachballs.
I'm one of those users who always has way too many open browsers windows and tabs, once SSD's came along bad habits were empowered by hardware to get even worse! I had hoped Tab groups woudl help but that again like the SSD allowed even greater levels of multi-tabbed browser windows, aye! 🤪

I only remember that some time ago they said that they were aware of the problem and it would be fixed: maybe there’s some way to make the VMM Mac temporarily look like a real one only when required (like in this case)…? Don’t know…

I don't find this to be the case on my MBP6,2. Are you using 0.6.8 from here? Did you "Build and Install Open Core" after upgrading to OCLP 0.6.8? Confirm that your Open Core EFI is current by running the following in Terminal:
nvram 4D1FDA02-38C7-4A6A-9CC6-4BCCA8B30102:OCLP-Version
You should see that OCLP-Version is 0.6.8. When upgrading from one OCLP version to another, always "Build and Install Open Core" and apply post-install patches with the new OCLP version.
Quick question, I'm still not quite understanding OCLP and AMFI pass. When I installed AMFI pass I no longer have OCLP 0.6.7 on my computer. I made the "alias" shortcut and it longer has the file it was previously directed to---All is working fine but do I download and install 0.6.7 again?
Quick answer; you should install either OCLP AMFIPass or 0.6.7, not both.
Thought I had, but I may have slipped out of the OCLP booter by accident.

I'm starting again, but after I select the EFI option, and go to the Enclosed Ventura Installer, it brings up MacOS Recovery before going to the System Utilities, is this normal? I don't see it mentioned anywhere.
After 23 minutes it brings me back to the MacOS Recovery Panel again, asks me to select the target drive again, and then starts the same thing. Sort of a Groundhog Day event.

Did that and after about 20 Minutes got a Yellow Alert Sign Saying "request denied, you do not have permission". At least it's something different.

I installed Vent on a 2012 Mac Mini a couple weeks ago. It has 16 GB of RAM and I installed a new 500 GB SSD during the process. Seems to run well, but I suspect it might be the last version to run smoothly on it.
I might migrate to a Linux distro once all my hardware becomes 'obsolete' according to Apple and MS.

Forgive me---3 quick questions. When I update via Apple's "software update", will AMFI pass prompt me to reinstall root patches the way OCLP does? It's the same process? Would there be a time when going back to OCLP would be adventageous?
Imac 27 late 2012, 13-2, 6.8 latest 13.5. For the first time ever I just tried hooking up my Ipad mini 6, and I get a message saying I need a software update, it says the update is not available from the server, same with the Iphone 13, both have the IOS 17 beta. Is this because of OCLP, or am I doing something wrong. Thanks for any help. I am trying to use the Imac to print from the Ipad on my non wifi Brother printer.
The AMFIPass Beta 4 is a version of OCLP, and as such it will prompt a user to reinstall and then to run the post install patches after a reboot. You should do the same order as in the instructions, i.e., do a further Build and Install to disk after the post install root patches. (it may not prompt you to do that, just remember to do it.)
As for the advantages to revert to the original OCLP versions, read the change logs at;

and decide if those outweigh the advantages of having AMFIPass enabled, i.e. working VMs and microphone/camera for apps that use them, like Zoom. In good time, the devs have said they will merge the two branches, but there is no timeline for that future change at present.
In effect, if while running AMFIPass, your Mac can do whatever you need it to do, it is probably best to stay with it.
