Status update on a rMBP10,1 mid 2012 with original bluetooth+wifi card. Updated OTA from 13.4.1 to 13.5, and OCLP 0.6.7 to 0.6.8 Took all the default settings for the new 0.6.8 build & install.

As usual immediately after update yesterday m/c was running hot, fans whirling and generally cpu-bound. Whatever it was doing it's finished doing it. No issues to speak of today. 13.5 + 0.6.8 feels like a winner on this m/c, hats off to the OCLP devs.

I see AMFI provisions are now included in the latest nightly OCLP (0.6.9) which I've installed over my OCLP (w/ AMFI), uninstalled the post patches and was sure to install from the latest OCLP (0.6.9) post patching. So far great, hats off to the Devs!

@amaze1499 Maybe you can post a screenshot of your kernel panic. I'm not seeing any issues on my MBP6,2 (13.5, OCLP 0.6.8, AMFI and LV Enabled, AMFIPass.kext 1.3.1). As we've seen, individual issues with OCLP depend on Mac Model.

Currently, I have 13.2.1, 13.4.1 and 13.5 installed for testing purposes. 13.5 is working so well that I'm going to be removing 13.2.1 and 13.4.1.
Latest 0.6.9n has OC 0.9.3. :D:cool::D

Several people have mentioned un-installing root patches before upgrading to a new version of OCLP. I have never done this on my MacBook Pro 11,3 and all has been fine. Wouldn't these root patches just be overwritten and superceded ones deleted by the new version upon running "post-install root patch?'

Thanks for getting back to me. I got to make sure though hardware is not EOL yet. Maybe I got a faulty ram stick or HD cable.

Edit: Found the culprit. It was indeed a broken hard drive flex cable.

This is expected, my last test system without upgraded WiFi/BT needs AMFI disabled or has to use the lastest AMFIPass. But you need BT4.x and the WiFi AC for most AirPlay features, at least AirPlay to Mac does only work this way.

AirPlay needs some more reverse engineering ... unfortunately the HD3000 with macOS drivers has been used to provide full functionality with High Sierra, Mojave and Catalina, but those drivers are completely incompatible with later macOS versions, in particular other metal GPU drivers - only once I was able to patch it back on Big Sur using a stock GPU.
And for handoff and continuity. Really it´s worth to install a new Wifi/Bluetooth module.

amfipass is also included in the current release version 0.6.8; no need to install 0.6.9 beta!

The same is my experience. Since OCLP 0.6.7 this works fine.

I have 0.6.7 as amfipass-b4 and now 0.6.8 simply installed over the previous version on my rMBP 11.2 (15" 2014 base model) without any issues.

OCLP 0.6.8 + macOS 13.5 works (almost) flawlessly together.

YouTube, Apple Music - music videos and own videos can be played, but with Apple TV app there are still problems. When playing, the playback window is immediately closed. 😕
👉🏻 The only solution is to use a VPN with location USA when starting the respective show/episode/movie. Playing in my language (German) works fine with it. VPN can then be terminated directly.

The second problem seems to be in macOS 13.5 itself: no Location Services are displayed in "Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services" anymore.😮

Hi, I have an iMac 14,2 running 13.2.1 to avoid issues with VMWare and JumpDesktop but, has anyone with the same machine upgraded to the latest 13.5 Beta with 0.6.8 successfully without problem with VM or JD ?

Working on my 2015 15” MBP:
I downloaded OCLP 0.6.8 and attempted to install with Ventura 13.5

Above msg would appear:
1. It looks scary like my MacBook can be remotely accessed by scammers (Pic 1 & 2)

2. I cannot continue beyond this step

3. I tried to reinstall fresh Monterey, it will come this similar error msg too

In Monterey it will show this error instead (Pic 3)

I could not proceed next step.
Therefore I cannot use Time Machine to restore back to my backup from last nite (before attempting to upgrade using OCLP)

Have anyone faced similar issue & found a solution?

It looks like the Mac has been connected to MDM, which is a system used by companies to control their computers. Is it a preowned machine? Have you ever been connected to that bank?
Did you do a reformat of the harddrive before installing?

See here.

If you are proficient with Open Core, you can manually remove the VMM kernel patches and add revpatch=sbvmm to your config.plist.

EDIT: You should be able to look at the Open Core EFI generated by OC 0.6.9 nightly build to see how sbvmm is used. You need RestrictEvents.kext 1.1.2 or later.

HI i think Oclp 0.6.9 will be released soon and will have AMFI PASS enabled so all features that we had in 13.2.1 will work in 13.5 only problem with latest patches is that Apple removed old INTEL library for older MAC PC AND some app like Pages need library to work properly and features in Pages like import images WHICH YOU WILL GET ILLEGAL INSTRUCTION,but this maybe can be fixed with developers

only problem you may get is handoff and airplay and Continunity Camera but developers will resolve this issues soon as AMFI is back again and working will work as in 13.2.1

Also in Sonoma 0.6.9 will be great patch

All the OCLP IS ONLY FOR 2013 mac up 2020 because hardware can handle latest Operating System and Intel Hd and Nvidia Kepler are best for this machine stable

For hackintoshes is difficilt to find good GPU SINCE APPLE REMOVED ALL LIBRARY FOR OLDER MACHINES BUT VEGA GPU ARE GOOD

I HAVE MAC MINI M2 latest and Imac 13.2 and see no reason that m2 is better vs older Imac everything is actually same for me shame that APPLE SCREW US WITH their Sense of perfection i dont like M2 they are gimmick to me no matter how faster is their NVME CHIP SOLID STATE

why the hell they do not support other GPU BRANDS WHAT THE HELL THEY relly on Cpu ARM

Hello all,
I am a first time writer, but a year or two reader and have used YOU, Mr Macintosh youtube videos and OCLP to keep my MACs going. Kudos to all!!
I have a 2009 IMac (10,1) and a 2012 MacBook Air (5.2). Both were using Ventura 13.4.1 and OCLP 6.7 with no problems that I could see. I am not a computer savvy person.
But the problems started yesterday with Ventura 13.5 and OCLP 6.8. Actually, no problems with the MacBook Air (5,2). Fully up and running 13.5 with OCLP 6.8.
Different story with my iMac (10,1). Up and running 13.5 with OCLP 6.8. BUT, no Bluetooth. It will not turn on in System settings (switch will not move to right with blue showing). I can turn bluetooth on from the menu bar, but it doesn't turn on the bluetooth in system settings nor allow the system to see (discover) my Magic Mouse or keyboard. Changed batteries; turned off/on devices; deleted 'library/preferences/com.apple.bluetooth.plist; and used terminal to reset the bluetooth module [sudo pkill bluetoothd]. Also reset SMC and NVRAM. All to no avail.
Luckily I have a wired keyboard and mouse, but would really like to get it all working.
I do not change any of the settings in OCLP, not even the 'show boot picker' button.
I know that you folks are the 'pros from dover', and would sincerely appreciate any help you might lend to a neophyte in solving this burp.
Again, my thanks to all in keeping my old MACs relevant.

In true "if it ain't broke" fashion, I powered on my 2012 Mini after months of being powered off while I was on vacation. I see that Ventura is in need of updating and also see that OCLP 0.6.5 is what is installed. I update OCLP to 0.6.8, build, install, and reboot.... now it is hanging endlessly enumerating the USB devices.

I whittle down connections on the mini to the mouse, keyboard, and Thunderbolt Display without any change. Hangs entering Safe Mode and Single User as well. What did I miss?

1. Which was the macOS version u started before update?
2. Everything DIRECT connect to MM or by Hub?
3. Try Safe Mode again w/ wo/ Hub
4. If u enter safe mode then revert Post install and directly install Post install again then reboot
5. Try "Create macOS Installer" in OCLP - hope u have 2nd Mac.

Contact the bank to remove the Mac (they will need the serial number) from their MDM management system.
There is another way, use OCLP to generate a new serial and spoof if using the OpenCore boot loader. The first solution is the better one.

1. IIRC, 13.3.1
2. I've tried both connected directly to the mini (6,2) and also to the Thunderbolt Display, I have not tried a "normal" USB hub yet.
3. I'll give it a whirl and let you know.
4. Yeah, that is my plan if it ever enters Safe Mode. Single User mode gets to the user login screen and spins after entering my pw.
5. I have lots of Macs around and have already downloaded 13.5, but holding off until I checked here and now to try a hub.

It's kind of weird as I've never had any real issues with OCLP so I didn't expect to have a problem rooting after 0.6.5->0.6.8.

Hi all,
With the introduction of the USB 1.1 patch in OCLP, my MOTU Monitor 8 audio interface has stopped working. It's seen in System Information, but the "Discovery" app no longer sees the interface. It's also not seen as an audio device for the system. However, it does work correctly prior to the application of root patches with OCLP.
Perhaps it's due to the fact that it uses a .dext driver extension.

Ventura 13.5 broke BCM92046MD support, this module has been used (AFAIK) in all iMacs 2009-2011. There is currently only a hack booting into any previous macOS release installed on this machine and back into Ventura 13.5. The older release will set some NVRAM variables needed for proper BT support. But you will loose these settings after each NVRAM reset. One can - of course - make this variables persistent in the OpenCore config.plist (another hack, if you ask me, but it works surprisingly well).

I'm interested to learn, why did you use OCLP 0.6.5 for the first step?
My MBP4,1 17-inch had massive problems with 13.4 and 13.4.1 and OCLP 0.6.7 and earlier, it almost couldn't be restored to Ventura 13.3.1. So I decided to stay with 13.3.1 until I read about success with Ventura 13.5.

As I am willing to update from 13.3.1 to 13.5, I am interested to learn, why you did it that way.
