Quick question---I'm on the latest version of AMFI pass instead of OCLP. I noticed that OCLP 0.6.8 now incorporates AMFI pass......How do I install 0.6.8 and remove the version of AMFI pass as I believe they can not be installed at the same time? I want to make sure I follow the process correctly.
You could always do the opposite - remove AMFI pass, then install 0.6.8. This is what I did on my MBP11,4. No problems whatsoever.

Just wanted to say how amazed I am by the performance of Ventura 13.5 patched with OCLP 0.6.8 on my MBP6,2. The MS Remote Desktop graphics "clipping" and Safari copy/paste sluggishness that I experienced in Ventura 13.4.1 is completely fixed. Ventura 13.5 is a pleasure to use on this 2010 laptop. Devs, you continue to work Mac Miracles. Well done!

A suggestion if any of the OCLP developers are reading along here:

If I had a wish, I would be happy about the possibility in the OCLP app to be able to change the brcmfx-country code for the WiFi card in the preferences, because this is always overwritten with US (channel 149) with every OCLP update.

Here I need the code DE for Germany (channel 44). Otherwise e.g. AirDrop and Universal Control will not work.

It would be a comfortable option, because so far I always have to manually edit the config.plist in the mounted EFI in the OC directory.

What do you think?

Although my MacMini 2014 is generally working fine it seems to have BT problems connecting to a ParrotZik 1.0 BT headset. It seems to sometimes see the headset but Connect always fails. I can collect a BT handshake log if that helps. The Zik can connect to an M2 MM OK but is not currenlty paired with anything.

Hello,
my rMBP is still on Ventura 13.3.1 (a) and OCLP 0.65.
I would like to upgrade OCLP to the latest version and then to install latest Ventura version 13.5.

I am still using this laptop for business so I need to be prudent.

So can you please advise if anyone has already performed such an upgrade and if there is any risk involved or any suggestion?

Thanks,
Daniele

Hi Daniele

as I wrote some post above – everything okay except showing location services under settings > security & privacy (ONLY showing off settings of the individual apps is missing).

Happy updating👍🏻

The country_code variable is set correctly to DE on all my systems.

Either there is a bug or you have non standard location/language setting confusing the detection via ioreg (IO80211CountryCode). You should follow the build log displayed on your Mac while running OCLP and check the output of this command ioreg -l | grep IO80211CountryCode.

The hardware detection will simply fail if you generate a configuration on a different Mac and/or by using the target model setting differently from the default value! Simply do not touch settings.

In general: The interface for OpenCore is the config.plist. If you need nevertheless a new button please fork the source and implement it yourself. This is what a community project really is all about.

@Ausdauersportler

The only setting I change before updating/installing OCLP is unchecking Show Open Core Boot Picker in General Settings. Other than that, I don't touch anything.

Maybe this is caused by the firmware of my FV-T919 PCIe Wireless Network Adapter card, but this is just a wild speculation :).

Implementing a button myself is unfortunately beyond my abilities in this area. Thanks for your explanations though.

hey everyone, I have a 13" Macbook Pro Mid 2012 (9.2), OCLP 0.6.8 and Ventura 13.5. I spent hours and still couldn't find any solution for enabling Photo's face recognition, mediaanalysisd and photoanalysisd. I've checked the setting in OLCP Settings/Extras and "disable mediaanalysisd service" in unchecked. Anything I am missing? how can I re-enable face and object recognition in Photos app? many thanks!

My iMac also shows DE for the Country Code... but I'm in the UK! Apparently, the Mac picks up the Country Code from the router to which it is connected, which in my case is a TP-Link Deco M4. You may find, depending on the make of your router, you can change the Country Code on there: you'll need to Google to find out if/how your router manufacturer permits this. Unfortunately for me, this option is not available on the TP-Link. And just to confound this theory, my mini M1 shows the correct Country Code of GB, even though it's connected to the same router! (But I did buy it used, so maybe it's held that setting from its previous location...)

No guarantees of course, but a few people have reported success with this, including me.
Unless you have some unusual combo of software or devices you should be good. YMMV.

I have this problem on my MBA 7,2 (Early 2015), but weirdly not with my mini 6,2 (2012) or my normal OpenCore Hackintosh.

Assuming that all three systems have the Photos system library on an internal APFS or HFS drive, and that they are all using iCloud Photos, I'd be curious about two things.

1) On your three systems, are there pictures of people who are recognized on both your Mini and Hackintosh, and only not on the MBA?

2) Is "Download Originals to this Mac" set on all three systems?

In the Pages application: when trying to import images by dragging from the desktop or using the Media menu item, the application crashes
Strange and awful, I can easily drag and drop images or by insert images to Apple Pages without problem.
I wish you good luck in next releases.

I upgraded on July 25, and I may also have an issue. I'm seeing Crash Reports in my log for both mediaanalysisd and photoanalysisd since the upgrade.

I'm going to do some more investigation on my own system before I post something on Discord

What is your machine and oclp version where this works? It broke for me on my Mid 2012 MBP after 13.2.1 and hasn't worked since.

There are many types of video cards and they all work differently 🤷🏼‍♂️

I do have the same problem with a MacMini 6,2 and Ventura 13.4.1 with OCLP 0.6.8.
Pages, Numbers and Keynote behave the same on importing a picture by drag and drop or by Media Browser.
The version of Pages/Number/Keynote makes no differnce too (v. 11.1 or 13.1)

You mean you never had the issue before latest update? I never had photo’s face and object recognition working since upgraded to Ventura on OCLP. Am I missing something? I thought OCLP disables this feature

1. Yes, the MBA is missing lots of people and always says "Updating people...Photos will finish updating your People when you're not using the all and your Mac is connected to power".
2. No, looks like the MBA was set to optimize. Flipped to Download and will give it some time to brew.

Same issue here. Dragging pictures into a pages document will lead to crash.
