Just upgraded my iMac 12.2 from Catalina to Ventura 13.5. Only change in building the newest OCLP was to disable AMFI. No issues so far. Lost most Airplay capabilities though.
Can you try to boot an OC installed to an USB pen drive version with AMFI enabled? It should/could work if you have upgraded the BT/WiFi module, too.
Wonder if AMFI is the root cause of loosing AirPlay? (AFAIK video AirPlay to AppleTV is broken for some longer time).

BTW: AMFIPASS beta has been finished - you all need to wait until a new release will be posted. No ETA.

OCLP amfipass-b4 Download gone

Hope that amfipass would be implemented in 0.6.8 😊

they have also added a patch for HEVC on Skylake platforms that fixes Live Photo display in Photos.app and slow Chrome/Edge/Arc and other chromium browsers startup.
It's great !
But ... videos are not rendered in 4K in Photos.app, it's in lower res.
I also still have issues to start Xcode iOS/watchOS simulators and debug in Xcode 15 beta 4

It appears to me that OCLP 0.6.8 is still using Open Core 0.9.2 instead of the current OC 0.9.3 release. Is that what others are seeing?

Also, OCLP 0.6.8 is still employing the "old" VMM spoofing (VMM kernel patching) instead of the new sbvmm fix for RestrictEvents.kext. This means that OCLP 0.6.8 users may still experience app complications with VMM.

EDIT: OCLP 0.6.8 successfully applied post-install patches to my MBP6,2 (NVidia Tesla non-metal) running Ventura 13.4.1. My MBP6,2 was previously patched with OCLP-AMFIPass-Beta4. WithAMFI and LV fully enabled (and AMFIPass.kext 1.3.1), the OCLP 0.6.8 post-install patches applied without any issues. Great job Devs!!! The OCLP transition from the Beta branch to the production branch was painless. Thank you!

EDIT2: I am currently running with the following "hybrid" configuration:
  • Open Core 0.9.3 EFI with latest Acidanthera kexts (including RestrictEvents.kext 1.1.2 and BluetoolFixup.kext 2.6.8 [DEV])
  • revpatch = sbvmm in OC config.plist (a RestrictEvents.kext property that eliminates the need for VMM kernel patches)
  • AMFI and Library Validation fully enabled (AMFIPass.kext 1.3.1)
  • Post-install patches applied with OCLP 0.6.8
EDIT3: I was unable to perform a clean Ventura 13.5 install with revpatch=sbvmm. Attempt to install resulted in 'unsupported' platform. I needed to revert to VMM kernel patches (revpatch=none) in order to perform a clean install of Ventura 13.5.

It's not booting from usb with AMFI enabled. The iMac still has the the original Airport card. The root patch keeps it going :). Airplay can stream the library from the Music app but not radio from TuneIn - and only if an Airplay 1 device like an old Apple TV is ticked as well. But no video streaming. So Airplay is not completely gone. I'll dig into the logs over the weekend. Can still use Aperture with Retroactive btw...

This is expected, my last test system without upgraded WiFi/BT needs AMFI disabled or has to use the lastest AMFIPass. But you need BT4.x and the WiFi AC for most AirPlay features, at least AirPlay to Mac does only work this way.

AirPlay needs some more reverse engineering ... unfortunately the HD3000 with macOS drivers has been used to provide full functionality with High Sierra, Mojave and Catalina, but those drivers are completely incompatible with later macOS versions, in particular other metal GPU drivers - only once I was able to patch it back on Big Sur using a stock GPU.

Expected that too. Guess I'll return to Catalina for now. Hate the idea of opening the iMac again, but will order a wifi kit to future proof. This machine still has a few years ahead.

Situation: MacMini 2 running Ventura 13.5 final; 2014 MacMini (7,1) running Ventura 13.5 final with OCLP 0.6.7 root patches (thank you devs); both on same Wi-Fi and Ethernet networks; both have Bluetooth set to on and can see each other; both set to permit Handoff and Universal Control BUT neither Handoff nor Universal Control is functional.

Solution: Suggestions welcomed

Just to update the community:
We're back on this updating cycle and as per my usual practice, the MacMini was the first up.
Went from 0.6.7n to 0.6.8, all ok. Then went from 13.4 to 13.5. Finished by re-running root patches. So far so good.

All my usual apps (Acrobat Pro, Brave, Mail, MSOffice & Teams, Music, Sonos, Spotify, Synergy, Text Mate, VLC, Zoom) work. Since I use Symless (I have an Ubuntu and Windows 10 machine) in my "chain". Since I don't use handoff nor Universal Control so haven't checked the most recent issue above me.

Is it safe to start on the iMacs? I'll do the 2012 (13,2) one next.

Updated root patch on 2014 MM to 0.6.8 without problem, restarted and asked if wanted to update bootloader, which did and then rebooted without problem. Still no Handoff and Universal Control between MM2 and 2014 MM. Both signed in to same iCloud A/C and on same Ethernet and Wi-Fi networks. Extended desktop does work between two Macs. Nice job and thank you devs.

Ventura 13.5 has fixed the Microsoft Remote Desktop display issue on MBP6,2 (Nvidia Tesla non-metal). Ventura 13.4x broke the MS Remote Desktop display (edges of Remote Desktop were "clipped"). With Ventura 13.5 and OCLP 0.6.8, Remote Desktop display is back to normal. Ventura 13.5 / OCLP 0.6.8 is fantastic on the MBP6,2.

Out of curiosity, is anyone else seeing kernel panics or random system freezes with 13.5 and 0.6.8? Since updating my machine is just a wild beast.

@amaze1499 Maybe you can post a screenshot of your kernel panic. I'm not seeing any issues on my MBP6,2 (13.5, OCLP 0.6.8, AMFI and LV Enabled, AMFIPass.kext 1.3.1). As we've seen, individual issues with OCLP depend on Mac Model.

Currently, I have 13.2.1, 13.4.1 and 13.5 installed for testing purposes. 13.5 is working so well that I'm going to be removing 13.2.1 and 13.4.1.
