Hey all, I just ran into my first issue with Ventura since trying again. I have the Pro apps FCP, Compressor and Motion. FCP, and Motion both start up and run without issues, Compressor starts and thinks it's in a virtual machine and quits with the message that it doesn't support running in a macos Virtual Machine. Is there anyway to fix this, or should I stick to Monterey for the Pro apps. Thanks.

You should try OCLP 0.6.9n for Compressor.
It runs on mine, they have fixed some video drivers in this "unreleased" release.
It also fixes Apple TV+ kernel crashes

OK, I'll take a look, how do i get it? I did a search and it didn't take me to the right page. it took me to older releases. I went to the main open core page and found the latest releases such as 0.6.8, but never was able to find nightly builds, which this is.

macOS 13.5.2 and KDK_13.5.2_22G91.pkg works like a charm with newest 0.6.9 nightly on MP5,1 | RX580 | 990 Pro NVMe - big hug to the OCLP Dev - Team as always ;-)

Could you please tell me where to get a pre compiled 0.6.9 nightly? I want to try it to see if my Compressor issue is fixed, but going to the site only let me see 0.6.8 and the released versions.

Thanks.

The sonoma-development build? Your answer is in the Sonoma thread.

Thanks, will just wait for them to officially release it at this point. Compressor complaining about not being able to run in a virtual machine seems to be my only Ventura and OCLP issues. Considering I don't use Compressor much, I can wait, or boot back into Monterey the official last supported os for this iMac. Thanks again :)

🤗 Fingers crossed - I’m quite happy since weeks with 0.6.9n!

OK, I downloaded the Sonoma development source, followed the instructions in Source.md, everything was fine until the build. It starts to build then quits with errors. I used Python 3.11.x installed with HomeBrew. Any suggestions?

@MacinMan In the official link, look for 'Nightly.link: OpenCore-Patcher.app (Sonoma Development)' and click the link to download the pre-built OCLP 0.6.9n. No need to build it yourself.

BTW - if you were asking for and looking for support in the Sonoma Thread instead of the Ventura Thread and you read the instructions posted by the Devs, you'd see that the HomeBrew installation of python is not supported.

Compressor works perfectly in Sonoma!

I wanted to find out, After root patching with the 0.6.9n, it was moved to the Application support folder where the app is stored, after I gave it permission to do so. With this said, will the 0.6.9 nightly app still alert me to the official 0.6.9 release?

Hello,
I have installed latest Ventura version on my mid 2014 rMBP and everything is working fine.
I have only one issue, the applications (for instance Exporter for notes https://apps.apple.com/us/app/exporter/id1099120373?mt=12), do not ask any longer for permissions and therefore they do not work any longer.
With Teams I have found a work around TCCPLUS but TCCPLUS is not working with notes.

Is there a solution that I have not found?
Thanks for helping.
Daniele

Thanks!

@dcaccount In the future, when you ask for help, include the version of OCLP that you're using. The behavior you describe happens because AMFI is disabled. Read this to learn about granting camera and microphone permissions in "older" versions of OCLP. Newer versions of OCLP offer a mechanism for keeping AMFI fully enabled (eliminating the need to use tccplus). Google is your friend. Include "AMFIPass.kext" in your search.

You are correct, I am using 0.68 version of OCLP and AMFI should be enabled, at least under setting AMFI is unchecked. I am aware of what you are saying and I do not understand what’s’ a wrong in my settings.

Thanks for helping,
Daniele

It looks like AMFI is not enabled even if I have installed latest OCLP version 0.68.
Actually OpenCore Legacy Patcher has not notified me to rebuild OpenCore with AMFI enabled.

What can I do?
Thanks,
Daniele
After you enable AMFI and Library Validation (uncheck the options to disable them), use OCLP 0.6.8 to "Build and Install Open Core" and make sure you apply post-install patches with OCLP 0.6.8.

It has worked, thanks.

I had already done it but before upgrading to latest Ventura. Now I have gone through the steps once more and it has worked.
Thanks again,
Daniele
