yes i cant spell its cryptfixup. dont worry about oclp 5alpha.. thats after you installed ventura and it boots…yes full reinstall and the EFI structure is complete. Though there isn't any crypt.kext but a cryptexfixup.kext 😁. Just what OCLP v0.5.0 installed to the efi partition on the Ventura ssd. but because I can't complete the setup I can't run the OCLP Tool in Ventura. I am wondering what I missed 🤔.
How does it run on a 5,2? I left mine on 11.7 because I didn't want it to get any slower with just 4gb of ram.Just updated to beta 1o on my MacBook Air 2012. Used the latest OCLP 0.5.O and everything works fine, now there are no longer issues with power management, so o now CPU runs at full speed. What an amazing team, even a week ago they were not sure how would the power management be fixed.
So I downloaded and compiled the latest OCLP as usual, and threw this generated EFI to the USB stick. My iMac late 2012 hangs every time at this point.just gave it a try and tried to install Ventura b9 with OCLP 0.5.0 on my 2011 IMAC.
oclp is for AFTER you installed successfully... use cryptex.kext, lilu and boot WITH oc085 for the install NOT the apple picker... then at the installer check the cryptex.kext is in the kextstat then it worksSo I downloaded and compiled the latest OCLP as usual, and threw this generated EFI to the USB stick. My iMac late 2012 hangs every time at this point.
Does anyone have any ideas?

I am not famililar with usb.. I did mines in qemu then dd the successful install to raw disk. as to build efi with oclp.. i do it manually with cfdisk in linux.. maybe the windows/osx partitioner works to make 200mb efi? I don't know never tried before (because the osx partitioner disk utility make a mess of my disk b4 I scare to use it again, it reports my 500gb as 3x 500gb 1.5tb after some repartitioning.. forcing me to redo.. some bugSorry if I may not have expressed myself correctly. I know that OCLP is required after the successful installation. But to get Ventura on the disk or 2nd partition, I need an EFI which I build with the OCLP to save it to a USB stick to boot from it to install Ventura?
AMD Polaris drivers rely on AVX2 instructions, so you'll currently have no luck with Ventura on unsupported systems with that GPU. And just to make it clear, that is independent of the Cryptex/AVX2 circumvention...I tried it a second time this time with all drives plain. In case something interferes. But again it freezes when it comes to the graphical part of the setup. Perhaps something wrong with a gpu driver? AMD Polaris is said to be supported by the latest OCLP if I mistake correctly. But as far as I read the forum here it looks promising anyways. Biggest respect for all the envolved people in this project. Ill just wait for the final versions I suppose... 😁
Can confirm, my Ivy Bridge Mini is now running at full speed again. Not only that, but the CPU can once again scale down to lower clock speeds to conserve energy when full performance is not needed.Just updated to beta 1o on my MacBook Air 2012. Very strange things I'm hearing from you. OCLP is _exactly_ for OS installation. What you need and required _after_ installation is OCLP post-install patch(-es).I know that OCLP is required after the successful installation

It's obvious for me. Why try to install Ventura on unsupported late 2012 iMac without proper OCLP?The problem was that the computer does not follow the installation to the end!
i only use oclp for the post install root patch. (for hd4000 video) there are other functions in oclp but i dont use it so i dont know what they are. i manually setup my config.plist and efi.. for ventura the extra difference is install the cryxxx.kextVery strange things I'm hearing from you. You may just wait a little until developers have finished final 0.5 version with Ivy Bridge (incl. iMac 2012) support.
Download the latest trial, right click on the install app and show contents, under resources you will find product.pkg, install and restart, done.how to install ntfs driver from pagaron?

Thanks for the hint. Try to find some compiling time tonight…. 😁A very interesting update (and of course I hope that OpenCL will be fixed also for Kepler dGPU):

Ah, didn’t know that: a little like Parallels, thus. Anyway, they have been very quiet, for some time: well, let’s see when Ventura launches officially…In fact, Paragon Software is a Russian company whose headquarter is situated in Germany.

It’s also very interesting to look at this page, from time to time (with quite a positive and speedy progress, in the last weeks):Thanks for the hint. Try to find some compiling time tonight…. 😁
Yes, sadly that is probably the main reason for the lack of recent updates and so on…The war and its inevitable consequences...
the reply message above me works.. now writing ok ntfs with the wd/seagate free driverBTW, does anyone know what’s up with Paragon Software…? No mention of future Ventura support, very few updates to their products, almost dead forum with no official replies: a little strange, or not, for what should be a serious historical German company…? Hmmm…
