Tried installing on Mac book Pro 13,3 and the root patches will not install due to KDK error. downloaded the latest version from apple and installed manually and still the same error.

Any ideas.

Edit.

Opencores api server was down. So if anything happens to them and they get taken down repairs or reinstalls will not be possible.

Original macOS's AirPlay does not work in Ventura 13.0 in my iMac 14.2 (CPU i7 - nVidia GTX780M), neither with YouTube nor with "Duplicate Screen" of my iPhone XS (iOS 16.2 Beta).
But AirPlay works very, very well if I use Reflector or other similar apps.
Aside from this newly discovered problem, otherwise Ventura works very, very well and better than both Catalina and Monterey.
Any help? Thank you very much.

Had a tiny glitch with SIP settings, but a reboot solved it and successfully running all patches on a 4GB Kepler iMac 14,2.
I've been following this thread since it's inception (and Montery since Kepler GPU support was broken).

This was an install onto a working OCLP-enabled version of Monterey.

Also running a 30" Cinema Display from TB port with no issues.

Airdrop via Wifi from iPhone 12 iOS16.1 works.

VLC and YouTube 1440p works smoothly through Safari. I use Firefox for my bank.

Original BT and wifi card, but I only use a BT Magic Mouse and have internet connected via ethernet.

I don't do hard computing and just want the security of the latest OS.

Thanks for those iMac 14,2 owners who installed before I even tried.
Hi all
This is just to update the first post and let you know that my Imac 14,2 is running ventura without any issue so far.

A small question then Imac 27 of late 2015 I7 radeon R9 M395X video card currently with Monterey supported. Do you think an upgrade to Ventura is safe with Oclp obviously ??? ah I would like to keep the configuration and all the software I installed Thanks in advance ...

For what it’s worth I have a 2012 mini with 16 gigs of RAM, and Ventura is not laggy. The system runs just as well as it did with Monterey.
The 2012 Mini runs Montery in an awesome way TBH giving it a new lease of life. I am in two minds as to whether to do Ventura at this point.

I don't regret the update. I'm sure Memojis and the weather app will be fixed soon, and the benefits to messages and Stage Manager are a nice addition in my opinion.

Is this a WiFi card issue?

I updated my MacBook Air 6.2 to Ventura and it this is amazing performance feels on par or better than with mavericks. Also features like universal control work very well , side car quality via Wi-Fi is not the best. This old Mac is still my main laptop and now I can control my iPad Pro with it with universal control! This is a great update!

Hi @Eriamjh1138@DAN ! I have your same iMac and graphics card (but with i7 CPU) and yesterday I noticed that AirPlay to Mac doesn't work, while with Monterey it worked great. In practice: my iPhone no longer sees my iMac if I want to share the iPhone’s screen or if I activate AirPlay in YouTube videos to see them on the Mac. I repeat that it before worked well. Thank you

I upgrade Monterey to Ventura also with the new beta on Imac 27 late 2015 without any problem. Everything works perfectly thanks to Oclp 0.5.1. Thanks to the developers ....

Same for me. Does your Mac have Airplay setting in System Preference? Because mine doesn't.

Successful install of Ventura 13.0 on 2010 iMac 11,3 with upgraded AMD WX4150 GPU. Clean install using OCLP 0.5.1 release, surprisingly smooth and easy thanks to the amazing OCLP devs! Only trick was I had to be sure and use safe mode boot on the last reboot of the install, then run the post install root patch to get the GPU graphics acceleration working.

I am shocked at how well Ventura is running on this old 2010 iMac! Everything seems so smooth and fluid, and fast. Kind of reminds me of my old Mojave OS on this system with the WX4150. All hardware drivers are working, amazingly well, and my unigine valley score is 1675, almost 200 points higher than my Big Sur and Monterey scores on this GPU! This Ventura is no doubt the best macOS I have run on this iMac since Mojave.

My thanks and compliments to the incredible work by the OCLP devs, especially Khronokernel, DhinakG, Acidanthera, Ausdauersportler, vit9696, ASentientBot, and all of the rest of OCLP team. You are all absolute macOS and Python code rock stars. Keep up the great OCLP work!

Hi to all, I successfully tried to install Ventura on my MacBook Pro 13,3 on an external ssd.
I installed the efi boot directly on the external drive. Now I‘d like to move Ventura on the main MBP internal hd, where there is Monterey. What‘s the best way to make it? I mean, can I boot with an external drive, initialize the main hd on the MBP and then copy Ventura on that?

Attempted update, 2015 MBP 11,4 15 inch with upgrade OWC SSD, went all through creating USB disk with OCLP 0.5.1 to Ventura. Upon reboot selected EFI boot from USB. Then selected Ventura update and when selected Ventura to update, see progress bar and system stalls. Can you please help? I tried to reboot in safe mode with no luck.

Hi all,

I started an installation of Ventura on a MacBook Air 2012 (5,1) which was on Catalina before.
I followed the instructions with a USB stick, all seemed to be ok, but during the installation black screen with the apple logo (11 minutes remaining), I obtained an error message of what seems to be an update assistant :
IMG-5107.jpg

Sorry for the French language but a translate would be : an error occurred during the preparation of the update.
What could be the reason ? How to resolve it ?
Thank you in advance - Merci beaucoup ^^

Try again and make sure your boot OCLP on each reboot during the complete installation process. Have seen the same error once in a while but eventually it worked all the time.

Thanks for the great work making Ventura to be able to run on machines that should be able to run it native like my early 2015 MacBook Air.... I was very happy with it the day I installed it, although it had an issue with putting the screen to sleep by closing the lid, but that was my own fault for not completely reading and after doing the install, running the post install patch which was for the display.it thought it was an unknown display and after doing the post install patch, it works as it is supposed to, goes completely to sleep, and actually seems to have better performance than Monterey which was the last native supported macOS for it.

YOU ALL ROCK!!

I'm a rolling stone.
For what it’s worth I have a 2012 mini with 16 gigs of RAM, and Ventura is not laggy. The system runs just as well as it did with Monterey.

The only issues I have are the ones I mentioned earlier (Memoji and weather app)

And so I’m hoping switching accounts fixes it for you.
Think I am going to try a PRAM reset, that might help, haven't had the time yet to set up and use a new User account.

Solved, see my post here macOS 13 Ventura on Unsupported Macs Thread

A PRAM reset did seem to have a major effect, switched on AppleID, and although it's busy syncing my Mac, it seems to be more responsive.

Edit: The above was just imaginary, the solution was either OCLP 0.5.1 or that I changed some settings in OCLP before installing it to disk.
It runs fine now, booting is faster as well after installing Catalina for the latest Firmware, I was on Firmware 229.0.0.0, latest was 429.0.0.0, my MBP from the same year (2012) with similar hardware always booted MUCH faster, now I know why.
