Try again and make sure your boot OCLP on each reboot during the complete installation process. Have seen the same error once in a while but eventually it worked all the time.
Unfortunately, same error after trying again and rebooting again and again. I don't know what could be the problem.

Edit : FYI, I'm doing a clean install after erasing the SSD. So the MBA is not connected to internet anymore, do you think I must connect it to the network before launching the OCLP MacOS Installer ?

I have a Late 2012 Mac Mini that was on Monterey. I installed OCLP 0.5.1, installed Ventura. When I reboot, nothing happens, just a black screen. I have to hold down the option key every boot/reboot to show EFI to boot from. It shows EFI, or the drive. I hit EFI, then it shows the Ventura drive and it boots. None of the other unsupported OSX did I have to do this. Does anyone know how I can get it to boot without interaction? I tried holding down CNTRL when clicking EFI, but that did not work.

OK, with OCLP 0.5.1 released I attempted another Ventura upgrade on my MacBookPro11,4 (15-inch Retina Pro from 2015), and this time the installation went with virtually no hassles! (Except for the occasional part where it'd fail to load during the install and I'd have to reboot, but everything is all hunky-dory now.) I even had no trouble with OCLP then installing on the internal SSD afterward (and it automatically applied the root patches as part of the Ventura installation), and I can still boot into my Windows 11 Boot Camp partition! Can't wait to show this to my supervisors and coworkers (and I'll probably soon make a couple of Ventura USB installers at work as well, for once I get the impending shipment of hundreds of MacBook Airs; I can install Ventura on the officially-supported models).

I'm a rolling stone.
A PRAM reset did seem to have a major effect, switched on AppleID, and although it's busy syncing my Mac, it seems to be more responsive.
Not too sure yet.

My 2012 Mac Mini firmware was not up to date, I had to install Catalina to update to the latest firmware, which was on 229.0.0.0, now 429.0.0.0, booting went much faster.
I always wondered why my 2012 MBP booted much faster, that is on the latest 429.0.0.0 firmware.

The cloudd process is writing a lot to disk, it's syncing, so I will wait until that is finished.

E...v...ry...thing is sloooowwww.
Unzipping a file which (lets say) normally takes 10 seconds takes more than a minute.
Opening Apps...slow.
Network, won't go faster than 10 MB/s, seems like restricted to 100 Mb.
Almost seems like the processor is slow, yet it isn't, doing a cloud sync now, around 20%, lots of background processes.
Plenty of unused RAM, no SWAP.
Made a new User account, also slow there.

Booting with the latest firmware went a lot faster than on the former Firmware.

Back to a PRAM reset, might help after new firmware.

Solved, see my post here macOS 13 Ventura on Unsupported Macs Thread

Does Universal Control work for you? And can you share your screen using Airplay? Neither worked for me until I spoofed my MBP11,4 machine to a MBP14,3. Even now I'm getting an issue where WiFi isn't connecting automatically after waking. Would be interested to know if you are seeing the same.

Cross fingers, I updated OCLP to 0.5.1, which, seems to resolve the issue, but I also switched off a few options in OpenCore Patcher so that might be the winner winner chicken dinner.

Just tested my download speed, back to normal as well, ~900 Mbits/s.

What do you mean by failed to load. Mine stops shortly after the status bar appears.

That's what mine would sometimes do. I'd reboot and select the installer disk again, and usually it would work like it's supposed to. (The Mac OS install would have it reboot quite a few times.)

I didn't attempt that yet. I don't want to risk wrecking something if I need to re-build the OCLP and "spoof" the machine.

To verify,
1. Create USB with EFI
2. Attache USB to MBP
3. Hold down option with start and select EFI from USB
4. Select Ventura upgrade from USB
5. Starts upgrade but stalls after a few seconds at status bar.
6. Reboot.
7. Follow steps 3-6 again.
How many times did this occur?

I think I only had to do that twice.

Had OCLP Monterey already installed on my late '13 MBP 15", but was excited to see today that version 5.1 was out and supporting my MBP and iMac 27" 2015. The new OCLP setup to install Ventura is awesome so installed without problems on both machines. However when starting up the MBP after the Apple logo I see code lines till the login screen, everything else works fine and since I don't restart that often, doesn't bother me. On the iMac had zero issues with installation and works like before. Thank you for all the hard work.

Ok, so I found the issue here... Super Weird. Does anyone have any idea on this?

I have a Samsung CRG9 49" monitor with a DisplayPort to MiniDisplayPort cable. When I reboot, I get no screen at all.

Using a BENQ Monitor with HDMI Cable, a displayport to MiniDisplayport cable, or even the CRG9 with an HDMI to MiniDisplayPort adapter, it works perfectly fine.

If I unplug the CRG9 Displayport to MiniDisplayPort cable, boot, then plug the cable in later on it works fine.
I swapped out the DisplayPort to MiniDisplayPort cable to the one that works fine on the BenQ and still the same issue.

If I boot with CRG9 and minidisplayport cable, then unplug and try the BenQ monitor with HDMI or minidisplayport, I get no signal. However, I can boot the other way around and swap to minidisplayport and get signal fine.

I did not have this issue on Monterey. And makes no sense why the the same exactg cable and setup on the BenQ works, but not the CRG9. Thanks for the help!

Failed to load = boot process hangs for at least 30 minutes. I just made that up, but it's as good a definition as any. At that point, press the mac's power key until everything goes black. Wait 10 seconds, and press the power key (briefly) again. Do not pass Go, do not collect $200 :)

After the 2nd attempt it just loaded normally? You stated previously that you had to restart the system was that after Ventura was installed? Unfortunately for me I keep having to do reboot and it gets stuck at the status bar.

Is the USB Installer machine specific?

I downloaded Ventura and created a USB installer using the Opencore patcher and installed it on my MacBook Air, can I use this same usb installer for my iMac?

With previous OCLP it was machine specific as it needs info for the graphics card, so I assume it also applies for Ventura. For both my machines today I made separate USB installers. The new patcher makes installing so much easier.

The USB probably should be specifically built for the Mac intended ON the Mac intended. You can copy the macOS install file downloaded to the applications folder for, your air to your iMac saving download time, but I’d recreate the USB boot on the iMac using the OCLP 0.5.1 tool and install the iMac-specific patches to the USB, then boot to it, and install.
Best of luck! Follow Mr. Macintosh’s instructions on YouTube for the OCLP 0.5.1 update. He has every step bookmarked On his latest vid. I’d watch it a few times just to be sure or have it on your other Mac ready to follow.

Report, Installed Ventura on Mac Pro 2013.

-Core 1 is maxed out solid red "uh oh"
-restoring with migrate assistant crashes Ventura where I have to reinstall it. Tried it Twice.
-What is this odd menu power of video card etc.
Tired it ejected on the the GPU's I had to run the open core post install to get it back.

Anywho any ideas, I think the core thing is annoying me more. System P. Menu is horrible!

Cheers

PS Performance seem good maybe better then Monterey. Core 1 thing is annoying my OCD lol.

Feel like its running hotter
