macOS 13 Ventura on Unsupported Macs Thread

Just froze at the login/unlock screen again, and the system was sitting idle for less than one hour. I checked the DiagnosticReports folder again and the only new entries were three files within one minute of eachother, all MTLCompilerService -- so I'm thinking that must be the culprit, but alas I'm not experienced enough to read the logs properly.
Below is the earliest of the three, hopefully someone smarter than myself can dechiper it.

}My system has sleep completely disabled since Monterey, because I had an issue where the sdcard reader would stop functioning after a sleep/wake cycle... so I disabled sleep to keep the sdcard reader alive
When I say that the computer is left idle, I literally mean "idle" as in it never goes to sleep.
However, this issue with the freezing at the login/unlock screen is new with Ventura for me... if it continues, I may need to revert to Monterey for the time-being
no issues on MacBook Pro 9.2
The system was sleep for 3 hours and the memory still readable
I think the problem with the SD card reader might be specific to certain Mac mini models. There was someone in the Monterey thread with the same system as me who had the same problem. No solution was ever found AFAIK.
I had a similar crash issue as yours. My problem turned out to be the screensaver. For some reason, it wasn't activating correctly I guess.
I resolved the crash by selecting a different screensaver.

I could not see 13.0.1 update via Software Update. I am on 13.0 with OCP 0.5.1. I turned off content caching on this machine but no help.

When faced with weird issues, maybe a clean install is a good idea. Clean slate, known starting point.
found the solution. If you change SMBIOS settings to minimal for Airplay receiver. You can not see the 13.0.1 update you need to revert back this setting on OCP.
Am I the only one here that finds Ventura slower than Monterey?

Why? Why manually do what OCLP will (or won't, if necessary) do for you automatically?
I'm finding Ventura noticeably faster & smoother than Monterey. It boots faster too.
I tend to reboot at least once a day when running new versions of macOS, I find it helps to start the day with a clean slate.
Interesting. I’ve always used the flow screensaver just because I like it. Can I ask what screensaver you chose that solved the issue?
Despite the root patch being reverted, the SSV was still broken unless you re-enable in SIP setting, so I thought that might be one of the reasons the error showed up.
OK, try to revert your patches, restart, and install update. Leaving SIP intact.
