Anyone notice that sometimes the arrow keys on the keyboard trigger some kind of app switcher or force close the current task youre working on?

I'm sitting here trying to use command + V to paste something in a filename on my desktop and it causes one of my open apps in my taskbar to be brought to current view, canceling out my attempt to copy paste. then, while in that same file name editing, I was able to right click and paste but the minute I used an arrow key left or right, it triggered the same app to open and closed the file I was pasting.

similar issue happened when I was in excel before. typed something in a cell and hit the right arrow key to move to the next cell. bam, triggered excel to force close and another app popped up. this is so weird. last time I had strange anomalies, I rebooted and it fixed itself, but this one is new and surely strange.

EDIT: actually after I finished typing this message, I hit the left arrow key and it crashed/force closed safari and generated a report. a reboot ultimately fixed the issue, but its still strange.

Just a quick update .. Another flawless update using OCLP 0.5.1 to go from 13.0 to 13.0.1

Update to 13.01 causes problem when playing back Youtube Video on my MacMini 2015 (Macmini7,1) under Safari.
For all Video I am receiving an Error Message, that translated from German states "an error has occurred please retry later"
Google Chrome ist working.

Updated to 22C5044e using 0.5.1. No issues. Not important at all, but Weatherapp runs stable. No crashes.

I finally got Ventura to install on my mid-2012 MacBook Air. It was not easy. It happened by mistake. But for posterity, I'll outline what I did in order to make it work and maybe it will help someone else who was also having issues getting past the stupid "There was a problem processing the update" error.

I had given up and installed Ubuntu 22.04 on the Air. Everything worked, however I just wasn't happy with Ubuntu. And instead of trying to find a flavor of Linux I enjoyed to use (I worked in linux a lot for my career, but usually in a CLI only environment) or a desktop environment that wasn't picky, I decided I wasn't going to let a stupid laptop defeat me. So I reinstalled Catalina and let the damn thing update to the maximum supported OS by Apple. Then I installed OCLP's latest and built a Monterey 12.5.1 drive and a Ventura 13.0 drive. Both drives are identical SanDisk USB3.1 drives.

I booted Monterey's drive and erased the built-in SSD. Then I partitioned it, split right in half. I installed Monterey first to the first partition. It installed fine, rebooted and continued with the install process. Another reboot got me to the setup process. I completed that and shutdown immediately after seeing the desktop. I did not do any post-patching. I just wanted Monterey as a bootable backup in case Ventura went stupid again.

I then booted the Ventura drive and installed Ventura to the second partition. It installed fine and rebooted to finish the install process. Accidentally, I told it to boot Monterey instead. It did. I selected reboot from the login screen. The MacBook air rebooted into Ventura's partition somehow without showing the boot picker and actually completed the install process. Without rebooting, I was shown the Ventura setup process. I completed that and was shown a "desktop" of sorts. The wallpaper was showing, the Dock was showing and part of the menu bar was showing. Specifically, I could only see Siri and the time. No Apple menu, no Wi-Fi, no Battery... And interacting with the Dock was not happening. You could click and the icons would bounce.... And keep bouncing. At one point I had everything in the Dock bouncing and nothing happening. Humorous, but not helpful. Even worse, no icons were showing on the Desktop. I did the only thing I could think of. I held the power button until it shut off. I tapped power again and it booted (without showing the boot picker) again into Ventura. I logged in and this time everything worked! It was a bit slow, but I figured that was because it was still indexing with Spotlight. I let it sit there for an hour after adjusting the power options in System Settings. It smoothed out, so I opened OCLP and ran post-patching after selecting not to show the boot picker. Then I rebooted and it rebooted back into Ventura just fine. So I went into Disk Utility and deleted the Monterey partition and reclaimed that space in Ventura. For some reason, the hard drive was labeled "Macintosh HD - Data - Data - Data - Data - Data" but I was able to rename it easily enough.

Is it possible to increase the resolution in the installer?

View attachment 2112375
Actually, it is increased to full native resolution. Text and icons are so small because the installer does not set upscaling.
Same after installation without proper GPU patch.
Guess you'll have to live with it for the 10min. you need overall until you have a patched proper system...

Had exactly the same problem on 13.0 after updating from Monterey, turns out it was problem with Karabiner-Elements, reinstalling said program fixed the issue. I am on 13.1 beta 2 and no issues with keyboard. Maybe it's not OCLP or Ventura fault but some third party system extension.

Ventura 13.1 beta 2 is very unstable. Crashes everywhere. Beware

Running great here on 13.1 beta 2 was actually going to write a comment on here how impressed with it however I mostly use popclip app for copy/paste could be a workaround for you.

im still having an issue where every other day or so, youtube videos fail to load/playback and requires me to reboot to get it to work again. anyone have an idea or experiencing this? upon reboot it works perfectly fine.

I'm having an issue with the post install root patch for my iMac 16,2 running Ventura. There's no video scaling, it reports the monitor as a 53.5" display and the GPU acceleration appears to be disabled. I have a copy of the log below. This is a CTO Late 2015 21.5" 4K with the i7 processor. All my other machines have went without a hitch so far.

-2013 nMP, Early 2013 15" MBPr, Late 2013 13" MBPr, Late 2015 4K iMac all on Ventura with OCLP.

My iMac retina 2014 15,1 is telling me my EFI is out-of-date.... so is that because it's OCLP, or should it be updated regardless of OCLP? And if so, how do I find the latest version and apply is? Thanks.

it’s not because of OCLP it’s because you have not installed the latest Big sur update you could install Big Sur on a separate partition to update or leave it.

Thanks. If it won't do any harm I might install it just to make sure everything is as updated as it can be. Do I have to go through the entire install process, or is there a point where I can safely quit knowing the FW update has already applied?

Thanks.
