I'm still able to use the keys, but need to hold them down for a very long time before the character appears. Is there any chance this is related to the OCLP Ventura patching? It was working fine before I upgraded from Monterey.
Anyone else experiencing this?
I experienced this and replaced the keyboard physically on my same as yours rMBP. Unlikely OCLP.
Likely new keyboard (not easy) or at least open and clean/replace the plastic/scissors mechanism (easy) for the malfunctioning keys. There are Youtube videos galore for that type of thing..

Besides all the app crashing using the arrow keys etc., which I suffer from a lot with my rMBP mid-2012, I've also been experiencing bad keys (JKR). While it sounds like a faulty keyboard, I'm still able to use the keys, but need to hold them down for a very long time before the character appears. out of curiosity: same issue when using an external keyboard, different user or booted from usb installer?

Do we know if the apps crashing when using keyboard shortcuts is due to running on unsupported Macs, or is it happening to regular Ventura users also?

Any one who has the problem about app crash when hit cmd+c/v or arrow keys, you can try partly disable feature unlock(airplay/sidecar) when build OCLP. And this will course you have lost the function of airplay/sidecar. This problem is not related about external keyboard. I have test on my macbookpro 10,1. After that ths macOS is very stable.

With 0.5.2 chrome browser slow start-up problem is not solved for me. Any news? Everybody have this problem ?

Using infuse Pro to play hevc 4k video freezes.
Ventura 13.0.1 with opencore legacy patcher 0.5.2. Same on ventura 13.0.0 with opencore legacy patcher 0.5.1.Sometimes,paly youtube 4k videos lag on safari.
iMac 5K Late 2015 (i7 6700k+R9 M395X)

Probably a simple question, I have Ventura running nicely on an SSD via a USB adaptor, once I am happy and have everything installed can I then replace the Fusion Drive in the Mac with the SSD and boot from it internally or will I need to redo the OpenCore Patcher or install from scratch?

Yes you can. Nothing else to do.

hi, iMac 21 2011, quadro k1000 and ventura 13.0.1 (but officially still not support of course), assuming it's ok, good responsiveness, working and installable metal apps, however I noticed with the latest 0.52 versions of OCLP, published in the last 10 days and also the night 0.53 now, a slower start of about 45 seconds more than the versions of 10 days ago, for a total of about 1 minute and 30 seconds, both in start without password at login and with password that once inserted it almost stalls for about another 45 seconds and then ok the desktop starts, then everything is ok… any ideas? any settings in OCPL to tweak to restore boot times from about 10 days ago very acceptable around 50 seconds total?

can anyone use wireshark/some trace to decode the download path for Universal-Binaries.zip in oclp thx

2011 iMac is has metal?

what is mean Metal 3802 Common
# Intel Ivy Bridge, Haswell and Nvidia Kepler are Metal 3802-based GPUs
# Due to this, we need to re-add 3802 compiler support to the Metal stack? how to check what 3802 and what my version is? I get empty window in Firefox and chrome, only safari ok

also what is the com.apple.mtlcompilerservice.sb doing that needs patch?

I have noticed a problem with OCLP 0.5.2 and my imac 5k 27 late 2015.
VMWare fusion 13 player have display issues with windows 11 guest and VMware tools.
It looks like a problem with hardware graphics acceleration. Probably an issue due to back ported AMD GPU drivers

No problems with Fusion 12, OCLP 0.5.2, Win11 on my MBA 7,2 2015.
I just made an upgrade on 13.0. Upgrade the virtual Win11 machine and installed new tools. Everything seems to be ok.

I've had a couple of crashes using Handbrake to re-encode video on my iMac 14,2 (27" Late 2013). The re-encode will start fine but shortly after the whole system will simply crash and come unresponsive, the only way to fix it is to hard reboot it.

Anyone else had any similar issues?

We don’t have the same hardware, the same GPU and the same patched drivers.
I think the incompatibility comes from the AMD drivers in Ventura
I have installed Ventura, Fusion and w11 from scratch without any tweak

what does that possibly have to do with airplay/sidecar? and of course, after going a week or so without the issue, it started to come back again today. left and right arrow keys crash the app im in (safari) or using CTL + V to paste also crashes it. im on OCLP 0.5.2 and all patches up to date on my 2015 iMac. reboot fixes the issue until the next time.

on iMac 2011 21.5 with quadro k1000m, Ventura 13.0.1 work well, very good... only wifi is broken but with "Wireless USB Big Sur Adapter" v. 15 and a compatible dongle as d-link dwa 121 is all OK... just another note... before with monterey the integrated audio worked, now it doesn't anymore, the item "built-in integrated speakers" is no longer present in sound > output... but the headphone output is ok... the initial sound when turned on is ok, but after that the onboard audio is missing

i have the same problem (iMac 27" mi 2011 , Ventura 13.0.1 ) with OCLP 0.5.2:

- OCLP 0.5.1 : "built-in integrated speakers" is present in sound
- OCLP 0.5.2 : "built-in integrated speakers" is no longer present in sound

I don't remember if it's a problem with oclp 0.51 or 0.52… 20 days ago I replaced the gpu and ventura was immediately installed (I had Monterey with an old gpu) and surely, I believe, that I already had the night 0.52 but even if I had the 0.51, the drivers for internal speakers no longer present here than non-functioning speakers. it's a graphics card problem and ventura I think

15inch MacBook Pro 2012 upgrading from Big Sur via USB using the latest OCLP version, install is fine and I can get to the desktop after I install the root patch though and restart the machine I’m pronoted to enter a password to unlock the drive then I get stuck on a progress bar at about 50%, I have gone round in this circle twice now as I can reinstall venturea and get stuck in the same place any ideas ?
