Can you give an example of an application in which you can zoom using control + trackpad up? I can't replicate the zooming functionality on my M2 MacBook Air.

It's a system-wide thing, not related to one or more apps in particular. Notice I'm not speaking about double-tap zooming, which continues to work. Just press Ctrl and, without releasing it, swipe two fingers in an ascending direction across the trackpad. There should be a manifest zooming of the display. This has always been consistent in OS X/macOS. Now, in Sonoma via OCLP, sometimes it works, but more often than not it doesn't. When it doesn't work and you attempt the operation, there seems to be some minimal zooming for a couple of seconds, while the display vibrates and then returns to the current null zooming.

I've noticed that at least the Acrobat Diagnostic Report seems to be claiming my Mac Pro has 12 "active cpus". If that means 12 cores, that would be a lie. I have one single 6-core processor (X5690 3.47 GHz).

No, probably not a good idea since they're two different platforms. Either way, no boot loops here, and TM has been working as it did under Monterey. Since my iMac has the current EFI firmware on it already, I'll probably do my external install of Monterey when Apple releases the next update. I don't remember seeing any updates in the past few updates for this iMac 17,1 when checking Silent knight

On my MacBookPro this was deactivated. Activating "System Settings">"Accessibility">"Use scroll gesture with modifier keys to zoom" made it work.

I have not upgraded my MacPro yet. Since you have Adobe Acrobat I wonder if you use Lightroom Classic and Photoshop and if you do, do they work?

The UPS menu icon is still present in Sonoma. Works as expected on my M1 Studio. I'm guessing it's some weird quirk when using OCLP that you're running into.

I was running the above configuration. I did a restart this afternoon. The restart was very slow. It turn out it was being upgraded to Sonoma 14.2.1 (23C71). Note I turned off all updates before this. Initially the iMac was non responsive. I was able to login after a hard shutdown and rebooting in safe mode. I applied the OCLP 1.3.0 "Post-Install root patches" and reinstalled the "Build and Install OpenCore" on my 1 TB SSD EFI partition. I rebooted and it seems to run OK now. I turned off all updates after this. Hopefully it will not update to Sonoma 14.3.

I have some other machines running OCLP 1.3.0 Ventura 13.6.3 and all update turned off. Hopefully, this will not happen to the other machines.

I left my iMac on overnight. In the morning, it was very sluggish. It took a long time to login. Many of the apps were sluggish in response. Video with Facetime and Zoom was not availalble. I was able to run the OCLP 1.3.0 "Post-Install root patches". It took a long time. I rebooted. It seems to now run OK. Hopefully, it will remain stable.

Thanks for the hint, but no, that isn't it. That has never become deactivated for me. As I said, sometimes it works on OCLP+Sonoma, but it usually doesn't. I change nothing. I simply start the computer. Sometimes it works; sometimes it doesn't.

I have no issues with Photoshop and LrC. As far as I can tell, only Acrobat fails miserably.

Hi there, I've got Sonoma 14.2.1 running on my mid 2012 MBP. It's been crashing almost daily and was also doing so with 14.1. Also sometimes the UI gets all messed up and starts glitching out with unresponsive with flickering triangles.

The solution for me was to
  • Erase the disk and format as ExFAT
  • Exit Disk Utility
  • Re start Disk Utility and format as APFS
  • Install Sonoma - installed without the "An error occurred preparing the software update." message.

I got this 2x wtih OCLP 1.3.0 + 14.2.1 and 14.3 on iMac 11,1 with stock GPU + Metal GPU

My solution was
  • Quit out of stopped installer
  • Reboot and resume boot/install on target installation partition
  • It picked up where it left off, continued and succeeded
Didn't notice any adverse problems after install+setup+use.

OK, so, I took my portable USB 3 1 TB drive and upgraded it from Mojave to Monterey. People here have confirmed that I can still apply the EFI updates for the iMac by installing the remaining Monterey updates this year on the external drive connected to the iMac. Just wanted to make sure this is correct as I upgraded the main install to Sonoma so I could have the speed of the Fusion drive vs just an external drive. Speed isn't that necessary for just applying updates.

Just updated my iMac 11,3 mid 2010 from Sonoma 14.2.1 to 14.3 (OTA). The iMac has updated GPU. Needed boot in safe mode and uninstall/reinstall patches. Now booting fine and so far no problems. Running Windows 11 in Parallels.

How is iMac 12,2 +metal Kepler running on OCLP macOS 14.2.1?

09-11 iMac metal GPU upgrade thread says last good Kepler support is Big Sur. Sounds like you've been beyond that for awhile? Usable?

Did 14.3 solve the fans problem? , My late 2013 MBP fans were working most of the time on 14.2 with OCLP 1.3 and had to revert to Ventura with OCLP 0.6.8 and everything fine.

Hello ,do you change your USB stick ,; download a new install or test with the install of an another OS like Ventura ?
