My MacBook Pro 11,5 from 2015 runs Sonoma, as you can see in my signature:Hardware Requirements:
Sonoma will likely require at least 25 GB of hard drive space available and will be most compatible on these models of Macs:
iMac (2019 and later)
Mac Pro (2019 and later)
iMac Pro (2017 and later)
Mac mini (2018 and later)
MacBook Air (2018 and later)
Mac Studio (2022 and later)
MacBook Pro (2018 and later)
Accordingly, the following models capable of running macOS Ventura will not be able to be upgraded to macOS Sonoma:
2015 MacBook Pro
2015 MacBook Air
2017 MacBook
2017 iMac
2015 Mac mini

No apology necessary. Your post is a good one to alert us of the issue for potential new Mac purchases (not because OCLP-patched Intel Macs are to be perceived as more valuable). I have corrected my post here which claimed that Apple released a 'no-harm-done' statement. The Apple statement I had quoted was for a different M1 architecture flaw (yes, there's more than one). Take a look at this paper to see who funded the study that found the Apple m-series DMP flaw. It usually takes a lot of resources at significant expense to test and find such flaws.Apologizing for opening this can-of-worms.🙅♂️
Give OCLP 1.4.3n newest nightly a try should be no problem https://github.com/dortania/OpenCore-Legacy-Patcher/blob/main/README.md good luck!I have an MBP 10.1 mid 2012. i7 4-core, 16GB ram, 750GB ssd. Running Big Sur very well.
I want to upgrade to Sonoma 14xx with the help of the latest OCLP, alas it doesn't work. The graphic cards are not compatible and
OCLP 1.4.2 does not resolve the issue. If anyone could advise me, I would be very happy.
The paper on DMP is interesting reading, esp. for a person like me who didn't follow architectures closely for a loong time (since M68k and INMOS Transputer times!)No apology necessary. Have fond memories of my experiments with and my papers written about the Transputer! The paper on DMP is interesting reading, esp. for a person like me who didn't follow architectures closely for a loong time (since M68k and INMOS Transputer times!)
Have you followed this thread? More to the point, do you know what OCLP is?Hardware Requirements:

You said you ran OCLP, but HOW exactly did you run it? Perhaps if you give details of the steps you followed, one would see why OCLP didn't work for you. Did you create the OCLP USB installer, did you use Option to select the installer, at what point did OCLP fail? Et cetera et cetera. As others have said above, your MBP10,1 is supported for upgrade to Sonoma, using OCLP (properly). There are guys here who are running Sonoma happily, on MBP4,1 from 2008.I have an MBP 10.1 mid 2012. i7 4-core, 16GB ram, 750GB ssd. Running Big Sur very well.

Oh wait. Clearly this was generated by AI. No human being could be that clueless and totally devoid of context!Have you followed this thread? More to the point, do you know what OCLP is?
Same here. Since Sonoma 14.4.Does this happen to anyone else?
Now the question is whether it's a general problem with Sonoma 14.4 or OCLP 1.4.2.Same here. Since Sonoma 14.4.
Tested it here with Sonoma 14.4 and OCLP 1.4.2. on a rMBP 10,1 2012. No issues with focus mode that I can see.Now the question is whether it's a general problem with Sonoma 14.4 or OCLP 1.4.2.
Intermittent "problem". 9 times out of 10, it works perfectly.Tested it here with Sonoma 14.4 and OCLP 1.4.2. on a rMBP 10,1 2012. No issues with focus mode that I can see.
Same here 👍macOS 14.4.1 installed OTA atop 14.4, OCLP v.1.4.3n runs as expected.![]()
That depends on your hardware! If your mac was supported 1.4.2 in my opinion you can stay with 1.4.2 in my case some macs require 1.4.3n - but i think 1.4.3 will be released soon!Is OCLP 1.4.3n needed for Sonoma 14.4.1 or can we update with OCLP 1.4.2?
Even my Macbook Pro 15" 11,3 from 2013 runs OCLP Sonoma pretty nice. Everything works like a charm. Even both graphics, that I can control with gSwitch. My MacBook Pro 11,5 from 2015 runs Sonoma, as you can see in my signature:
