For the issue with Legacy UHCI/OHCI, I've read this table a dozen times, but I'm still stumped. Is my iMac 11,1 (Late 2009 27") impacted or not?

Well, this table lists systems which use UHCI/OHCI controllers that have trouble in Ventura and newer due to removed USB 1.1 drivers. But the Mac11,1 is explicitely mentioned as EXCLUDED. They could just have not mention it at all here. In other words: 27" iMac11,1 and newer are not impacted.

The easiest solution I could give you, if you aren't able to track down what's causing it, is to just use a still image for the wallpaper vs one of the videos. Like I said, the problem for me was easier to resolve as it was that one particular piece of software causing problems. For you, it might be more complex. I think we're also using different models of Mac too, so that also may play a part in this.
working again, still doesn’t have the cause. Yesterday I thought it was Docker Desktop items in backgroung but now is working and switch on those items.

Another interesting change, the Radeon Pro 555 in Ventura runs in Metal 3 , but in Sonoma it runs in Metal 2... performance drop possible ?
Polaris/GCN4 was never Metal 3 - this is a bug in Ventura. So there is no feature or performance loss other than dropped support.

Edit: You can also check this list from the Apple developer pages.

yes. I found elsewhere that the commands should be

cd /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/var/db/
and
rm .ApplesSetupDone

I did these commands in Terminal and restarted
but it never boots into a setup screen.
Just boots into the same & only account on this iMac, that is still a standard account.

Just to be clear, the Recovery Assistant off the USB OCLP v1.0.1 is the same
as the Recovery Assistant, as if no USB key was plugged in, correct?
try simply
cd /var/db
and then
rm .AppleSetupDone <---- Not .ApplesSetupDone as shown previously

On my Lock Screen is active some crash is happened. My MacBook Pro 2014 with OCLL 1.0.1 capture the screen. After crashing. No complaint, I can stop the screen lock to prevent the crash

Mid 2011 iMac (Quadro K1100M) is updated to Sonoma and everything seems to work ok.
More life for this old machine :)

Are people having luck with MBP 11,1 (13" retina mid 2014)? Thanks for sharing any experiences.

Looking at the docs, this machine should be fine (Haswell Intel 5100 GPU) excl continuity camera and a couple other bits that aren't critical for me.
My Late 2013 MBP 11,1 is working very well under Sonoma (OCLP 1.0.1). Dare I say better than Ventura. I've noticed a few small things like continuity camera not working, but as far as I can tell everything else is great.

anybody tried MBP 5,1 with 14,1b2? 14.0 is fine with 1.1 but no chance with 14,1b2 - oclp usb boot stick 14,1b2 stops booting.
MBA 7,2 and MM7,1 work fine with 14,1b2.

Did you select the updated efi manually at startup?

My iMac 11,3 is having a similar problem. Camera is working fine in FaceTime, but in Photo Booth it is green.

Hi,

Easy OTA update from OCLP Ventura with OCLP 1.0.1 to Sonoma, on iMac 21 and 27 inch late 2013 both.
Root Patch applied after update, and it's a deal !👍🏻
Lot off Thanks to the OCLP Team 🙏🏻

Hello. I have a 2017 5k IMac with dual boot (a nvme drive with macOS ventura and a ssd data with windows 11), I didn't use the bootcamp from macOS (just the bootcamp app to install the drivers under windows). I want to install macOS Sonoma with OCLP. I tried once (with 0.6.9) and my iMac just booted windows. with an EFI partition on an usb drive I could press "alt" (option) on boot an select macOS or windows, but I want to do it with internal drives only. how can I install Sonoma with OCLP (or upgrade) on my macOS drive (nvme) keeping windows 11 (on ssd sata) and the possibility to dual boot after?
