Actually, my bad. KA is still there, it's just hidden now in /System/Library/CoreServices/Applications. When opening the application, it gives you a choice between opening legacy KA or the new Passwords application. I'll edit now.
Hidden but not completely removed is fine, since the feature I mentioned is an advanced feature that not many people care about. Thanks for looking into it.

Running 5 GUIs revealed that the updated Calculator.app is still AppKit, but with SwiftUI (SwiftUI being absent in the Sonoma version). The new Passwords application is also AppKit/SwiftUI. A bit surprised; I figured Apple would use Catalyst or Swift for Passwords.app.

Is the memory footprint of Sequoia dramatically less than 14.5? It might be my imagination but it seems that the same processes uses ~10% less memory based on my ad-hoc observation. Anybody else got a sense for this?

They finally copied the awesome Windows 7 windows management functionality where you can "snap" windows to each side or however you want - no need to create a separate space when you do! Finally and about damn time too! No need for a utility like Magnet anymore.
That was my initial thought too, but Magnet is probably still superior in terms of features.

The option to turn this on is dimmed, and cannot be activated on my Mac Mini M2 pro with Studio Display.

It seems like whenever I click Help in any application (ie, Safari Help or System Settings Help) on the Help menu, while it opens help for that application, it's actually using Tips.app instead of the standard, old-school Help Viewer.app that has existed for many years now in macOS/Mac OS X and even classic Mac OS 9.

As a matter of fact, Help Viewer.app is no longer present in /System/Library/CoreServices, and it definitely was there in Sonoma. The help window itself looks the same, but it seems to be using Tips.app as the underlying application now.

I can not stand how the new tiles feature to re-size windows doesn't extend them all the way to the edge of the screen.

Interesting. I haven't even gotten it to show up on my dock, or find the app. Any settings you enabled?
Nope, first time I launched it, It put itself on my Dock. I found it using raycast

According to Ricky Mondello, works for Apple in Passkeys/Passwords Passwords.app is SwiftUI across the board.

This is literally the first thing I noticed when they announced it and it feels like it’s supposed to be like that since the screenshots on Apple’s website also show it like that. I guess I’ll be staying with magnet even longer.

Catalyst would make sense if they had an iOS/iPadOS (UIKit) Passwords app to start with and ported it to macOS. It makes more sense that a new multi-platform app would be based on SwiftUI.

This can be changed. System Settings > Desktop & Dock > Windows > uncheck Tiled windows have margins
