I'm a rolling stone.
Seems like a stable OS, the only problems were already there in Sonoma, like unstable
Bluetooth, like crashes and sluggish system, and my keyboard sometimes does not register
the spacebar, why, I have no clue.
My Magic Trackpad is connected but has no control at all, no mouse movement, no clicking, nada.
Another problem is that if I open a link in for instance the main Macrumors site it jumps
towards the top.

Hello @ronton3, could you please write how much work it took to get full graphics acceleration working on the iMac late 2013 (27 inch) with nVidia GTX 780M (4Gb).
Thank you very much for the information.
I did not do any special work, I downloaded the latest 2.0 nightly then the Sequioa beta, this was all OTA using OCLP and following their instructions. I do have 2 equal internal partitions one with Catalina, and a time machine backup. Patience is a virtue in this endeavor.

Thank you very much for your answer.

I have to see whether the RC is now displayed as a download on the iMac late 2013 with Beta8.
There is no link to the full installer yet.

I also have 3 partitions on the iMac with Monterey, Sonoma and Sequoia, that is not the problem.
It is important that the EFI is not destroyed, I will back it up first.

I will test it this evening.

Same issue with the new user?
I did install Sequoia on a second container on the same volume. To me it seems snappier as a fresh install.

Thanks

I had to reinstall Sonoma last week due to a faulty SSD, first time (ever) I reinstalled instead of upgrading OS X/MacOS
since the very first beta 10.0b.
Should have tried without importing all my stuff and settings.
I might try on a different SSD later on, or a different or new User.

Apple never offers full installer of RC releases.

Ok. MBP11,2 and MM7,1 both working again with Sequoia RC and OCLP 2.0.0 (nightly). I can edit widgets, play video on Safari (Youtube). Netflix is very laggy on Safari, but works on Firefox.
Purchased movies on AppleTV work as well.

I have now successfully updated the iMac late 2013 to Sequoia Version 15 RC Build A24335.

Everything worked perfectly with OCLP 2.0.0. Now full graphics support for the nVidia
GTX 780M (4GB) and even WiFi and BT work perfectly.

I immediately donated 100 euros to the OCLP for the really first-class work.

I'm patiently waiting for more confirmations on 27" iMac 14,2. I'll wait for the final final final version, or probably update over Xmas.

why wait so long? It really works without any problems
It really depends on the setup and needs. For example in my case I have an iMac 17,1. Currently stuck Monterey back on it again, because it's the last officially supported OS. Open Core works for my in terms of Sonoma for a majority of daily tasks such as email web surfing, and others general stuff. Even some more specific stuff works as well. The problem I've run into lately, and it's more of a catch 22 with anything Apple, not just OCLP at this point is as follows:
I like having access to virtual machines to quickly test things. (since I setup a native linux install to run directly on the iMac) this isn't as critical. With that said though, what I want to test does much better with 3D acceleration in the VM, and this doesn't work under OCLP, and while the solution was to run Monterey, the latest Fusion update now requires Ventura, or newer, which eliminates that option. Likewise, buying a new M series Mac takes away compatibility with X86 32-bit code, which a lot of the older games I like to play depend on. So, everyone's case is different, and things many not work as they would on a natively supported install. In my case things are changing to hte point where everything that made owning a Mac important to me is going away with the direction apple is going.

I had seen some earlier posts about Sequoia and the new patcher and graphics working better for some of these niche things, so I'll just wait and see what happens.

But don't you have a larger SSD or NvME in your iMac, maybe a 1TB or 2TB (I have one).

I always create 160GB partitions for each OS.

I have everything on it: Catalina, Big Sur, Monterey, Sonoma and now Sequoia.

I can always choose which OS I want to boot from.

I always have to smile when I read how people write, for example, "I'm back on Sonoma" or something similar, and I always think to myself... Man, do they all only have one partition with only one OS?

I never have any problems, thanks to multiple OS on one NvME or additional SSD.

I have multiple boot options. However, for the internal fusion drive (2 TB). i would prefer a single OS. As far as alternatives,, I have Kubuntu 24.04 on a 4 TB My Passport drive. The only SSD I have is the 128 GB (part of the fusion drive). The others are various speeds and capacities of mechanical drives. The initial plan was to wait out the Monterey support to end, and then wipe the internal fusion and put Linux on the internal 2TB mechanical drive. I found that I still use a few macOS features such as text message forwarding, so I don't need the latest version for that. I just am finding OcLP less of an option for me to really upgrade beyond a supported version though because of it's limitations, so that's why the macOS / Linux multi boot seems to be where the sweet spot is at ths point. I just keep trying OCLP every now and then to see if they've been able to fix some of the limitations.

I tried safe booting MBP 13,3 and there was some slight improvement in iMessages beachballing—sometimes it would spin for 30 seconds and then come live again and sometimes it would spin and spin for ever and report App not responding. Something not quite right that needs a tweak.
This is the first part of the pages-long error report that I was asked (but did not) send to Apple.

4 MBP 2 MP always with 2nd volume with last supported OS. I also run with scissors.

Did make the plunge and updated my - OCLP - Sonoma 17.6.1 partition OTA using System Update to the RC of Sequoia. Normally I didn't use this route, only pre-prepared USB sticks with the new image.
But the 2.0.0 is really awesome .. not a single hiccup

Absolutely impressed ...

Edit: on the same MacBook Pro 10,2 as the clean install of B8

Glad to say that OTA update from 15.0 beta 8 to 15.0 rc using OCLP 2.0.0.0n from September 10 went OK and iMessages is working fine on a 12" MacBook (not Air and not MBP) 9,1, so the beach-balling iMessages issue on the MacBook Pro 2016 (13,3) seems limited to that model and some few others maybe.

What's that build number of the RC you are running? I installed the latest beta available. Is there another version already out there?

15.0 (24A335) — the release from immediately after the September 10 extravaganza.
Ah, I was offered the previous version in SystemSettings. Today another version popped up. Must be the 24A335 so.

Edit: It is 24A335. Absolutely no issues installing this one. Using 2.0.0n. Thanks!

I've tried OCLP 2.0.0 with Sequioa on both my 2012 Mac Mini 6,2 and my 2013 MBP 11,1 and they both work great!
I love that even the Memojis work again.
The new retro Mac dynamic wallpaper seems to work well on my Mini but it does not seem to want to load on my MBP. I thought these were all video files but this one seems to be different
