MBP Pro early 2015 - Installed the metallib package manually and completed OTA update to Sequoia on my production volume without any issues other than very slow initial login before re-applying root patches. All seems good! Thanks again devs!

I installed Sequoia on my cMP 5,1 as per the specs below

View attachment 2422190

It boots fine but then it repeatedly gives me this error. every 2 to 5 seconds for over a minute.

View attachment 2422189
if I keep hitting 'ignore,' it stops. It will repeat if I add a downloaded video to my TV.app library or use the Handbrake app to convert a video.

I'm sure other things are going to trigger this error, too. I can persist with trying to get it stable for another week, and if not, I'll go back to Monterey.

Any suggestions, or should I wait for a later version of OCLP to move up to Sequoia?
I tried Handbrake with all kinds of conversions (from DVD, file, external drive) without any problems. TV.app also works (didn't test this before since I only use it on my TV with Apple TV): Importing and playing an unprotected movie, watching a bought film by streaming it and downloading bought films all works.

I do however have frequent indefinite beachballs with Music.app whenever I open it with the start page active. If I manage to click away from the start page fast enough to another section it works for a while but then it crashes at some other interactions.

I remember having had the same problem with Sonoma at the beginning and then after some update (Sonoma or OCLP - I don't know which solved it) it worked again. So I hope for a fix.

p.s.(edit): I tried everything from using older Music libraries (from backups), creating new ones and even empty ones, restarting of course, OCLP nightly build. No success. My current workaround is playing Music from my iPhone using my cMP as Airplay destination which is acceptable (for now).

iMessage not responding seems now fixed for me using todays nightly build on MacBookPro13,3! Thanks to the devs!
Good News, I'll try it now. I notice it got the correct KDK 24A335 this time. Just about to reboot and try iMessages.
Sadly, no luck on mine, still beachballing and becoming unresponsive. I can now set Access iCloud Data on the Web to on and off, but the iMessages app still beachballs and become unresponsive. Notes is working.
Also, I notice the iMessages Sync Now button is not working and Status remains at Not Synced.

I still have the same problems using Sequoia with the TV app and Handbrake. But I have no problem with the Music app. I have over 20,00 music files on an external 24Tb HDD and those files matched with iTunes match (although 166 of them appear to have been deleted and not intentionally by me)

I have gone back to Monterey (I hope only temporarily) as the most stable macOS on my machine. I'm waiting for updates in both Sequoia and OCLP before I try again. I like Sequoia on my M1 MBA and would like it to be stable enough for me on both of my macPro 5,1s.

Finaly I get it.
Making a OTA update and now 15.0. is running on my Mac Mini late2014,
but very very slow :-/ so I can't work under that "speed".
If your 7,1 is very slow, the post patches dontˋ work. Use the latest nightly. My MM 7,1 has the same speed as Sonoma or Monterey.
