@OKonnel I'm not going to pretend that I fully understand your post, but I'll offer some insight into FeatureUnlock. Some behavior of AirPlay is influenced by the FeatureUnlock.kext installed by OCLP in the Open Core EFI. Read more about FeatureUnlock.kext here. Starting with OCLP 2.1.0, it appears that FeatureUnlock will be Disabled by default.
A million thanks, @deeveedee ! I just installed OCLP 2.1.0 Nightly, enabled "FeatureUnlock" and everything is working perfectly again in my Mac, as it did with Sonoma and previous Systems! I love you and Ilove @neon! 😍
My iMac, at any rate, perhaps because of its hardware or powerful i7 CPU or GTX780M video card with 4GB VRAM, is among the most stable unsupported Macs with OCLP, even more than some recent Macs.
I have also turned off the blocking of "medianalysissd service" to test whether this will give me problems or not; especially since I do not use iCloud photos.

I thank you again, I thank @neon that answered me on Discord and thank the Developers!

[Note: It remains a mystery to me why, with FeatureUnlock disable, AirPlay worked with some videos and with others it did not :)].

Personally, I think it's a step backwards to disable it by default.

It's going to be necessary to reactivate it for users where there are no stability problems with these two options: FeatureUnlock and mediaanalysisd (on Metal 3802-based GPUs).
The OCLP team should offer two builds on GitHub; one with the options enabled and the other build with both options disabled.

Just to avoid having to go and play in the Settings section... 😅

Does it only happen to me, or is it a problem related to usnsupported Macs with OCLP or is it a Sequoia Bug instead? I have searched the Internet, but no one is talking about it.
So, I just found out that in the “Adjust color...” pane functions of the Tools menu of Preview.app, the “Auto Levels” graphics function does not work properly.
If you press the “Auto Levels” button, in fact, the open image becomes all gray, and the same thing happens if you move either of the two sliders at the ends. Only the middle slider behaves well, but the color response is still imperfect.

Thank you for your feedback and maybe for the possible solution.

Do you have the original WiFi card. I really don't want to try it quite yet until someone can install and have the original WiFi card working. THANKS

Also on the responsiveness. Do you notice a difference from Sonoma?
Yes, I have the original WiFi card.
My (5) 5,1 machines run great on 15.1
Cheers

I have Sequoia running using OCLP on a 2011 MacBook Pro 8.2.
It won't boot and shows these messages in verbose mode.

I get the same messages if I try to boot from a USB stick moade with OCLP.

Apologies for the poor quality, I used my phone to photo the screen.

Any tips for fixing this?

If I'm reading that right it looks like it's complaining about a damaged kext. I would think if your USB installer is good you shouldn't have that error booting from it. If it were me and I was sure I was getting that error from the USB install stick I would build a new one on a different USB stick and try again. Installing over the top of the existing install should work unless there is a problem with the drive in the MBP or some other hardware issue going on.

The weird thing was that I built the USB installer on a different Mac but got the exact same error. I will try again and see if I get the same error... The Ubuntu partition still boots and runs fine.

On my MBP11,3, license agreements are not displayed, whether from full installers or software updates; while on my MBP11,1 (without discrete graphics), they are displayed: anyone else has this problem…? Here’s a screenshot of the full macOS 15.0.1 installer: as can be seen, no license agreement is displayed. Maybe something to do with the Nvidia Kepler card (even if the same happens also forcing Intel Haswell)…?

… The same also for paravirtualization (i.e., accelerated graphics in macOS 11+ virtual machines) in Sonoma and Sequoia: it would be great if it could eventually work; but of course we don’t know if this is even possible, currently.

Hello,
A simple update to macOS 15.0.1 is enough or I have to use OCLP 2.0.2 to create again a USB Drive with macOS 15.0.1 ? What is the process ? Kernel Debug Kit 15.0.1 build 24A348 is necessary ? Th@nks.

MBP 2012 10.1. Latest 2.02 patch, Trying to update to 15.01 OTA. Software update finds the update, after a few minutes "checking for updates?. The settings on the toolbar has the red (1) indicating there is an update. It takes a while but gets me to the Available updates where I click on "Update Now". - I am able to click on the "Update Now" and see the button respond to the click. But nothing happens, It does not continue.

The internet (wiFi) is fine - I can browse and speed test exceeds 500 mbps. I did try safe mode, but no update is found on safe mode,

What could be preventing the "Update Now" from continuing. (I have patiently allowed 30 minutes to start). After reboots, same behavior.

Exactly the same problem with the same MBP.
In fact it was the same when I had Sonoma and Sequoia would not show up OTA update.
Eventually, resorted to Terminal and used the softwareupdate command to instal Sequoia 15.0.

Looks like need to do the same with all future updates
Something clearly not quite right with the MBP10,1.

Hard to diagnose with that minimal screenshot / data. If I had to guess, I'd say you need to use a different USB thumb drive (e.g., if you are using a USB 3.0 thumb drive, switch to USB 2.0).

How to download OCLP 2.1.0 ? Thanks
I'm not trying to be a smart@$$, but I will tell you that I am becoming more convinced that those who need to ask probably shouldn't be downloading it until it is officially released. That said, you can start here. With a little bit of GitHub knowledge, you can navigate your way to "Actions" to find nightly builds. You should also review the changelog to be certain that you need 2.1.0.

Is it just me or is it because of OpenCore, I can't allow any app to access the microphone, e.g. in Whatsapp in settings/data protection everything is empty under microphone or camera and nothing can be added?
