macOS Big Sur (11.0) - Bugs and bug fixes

I just noticed that the version number for Big Sur has apparently not been updated across the board. Geekbench reports that the OS version is still 10.16.

Is anyone else unable to unlock Security and Privacy? I'm definitely typing in the right password and for some reason it will not accept it.
 
Why cant I Update to Beta 2? is my updates broken? Beta 2 came out today, please help. it cant find the update? is there some command line i can run? or delete some folder to refresh this?

Reinstall the beta profile, that worked for me anyway

probably would help if i had the profile installed right? lol its working now guys thanks stupid me fixed

Make sure it actually updated. Mine went through the process and I rebooted but... no update.

It's currently downloading the update again; I'm thinking of just cancelling and coming back to this when this is all sorted.
 
It's weird but after the update, I can't find any change. Notification and battery icons are the same and the performance is still bad.

I'm sorry to disappoint you but it has actually installed. Build 11.0 (20A4300b)

Ahh. Well, who knows what went wrong for me then.

At least the second time around download is a lot faster; it's using my entire Internet bandwidth (150mbps) instead of a third of it.
 
External display doesn't work on Beta 2 for me. Anyone else?

Update: false alarm. it's now working after a few reboots. Damn that was scary

Anyone else have wi-fi deciding to cut out at random times? I've been on Beta 2 for about an hour now, and have had wi-fi shut off twice already.
 
I am missing about 10GB in space on my drive. I know that is the size of the update. I cannot locate the install file to delete so that I can get that space back. Anyone else?
