My Mac Pro 7,1 and Macbook Pro 16 got sleep/wake problem in beta 5. When device woke up from sleep, the machine go 100% fan and then got stucked with black screen. I must restarted from holding the power button to turn off. Does anyone have the same experience?

I had the same problem on beta 3 & 4 but I have not experienced it since I installed beta 5, I intentionally put my MacBook to sleep 2 times and every time it wakes up no issue.

Mine seems to have been fixed, I am now on beta 5

You sure? Mine is set to 2 minutes then go to sleep. After installing PB2 seemed like it working, next day walked away from my MacBook for 10m came back screen still on.

Following day mac still not sleeping, restarted my MacBook Pro started sleeping again, then it stopped sleeping again.

Guess it must not be tired. 🤔😂

Apart from that PB2 has been rock solid.

I never had a problem with my MacBook going to sleep, I screen saver set kick in after 5min then sleep after 15min
I just test it after 2min it went to sleep, my problem was that the MacBook couldn't wake up but instead, just a black screen then reboot but now it works fine

No issues with mac waking up, either way I’m pretty sure apple is onto a fix. 🙏

Just discovered something on my MacBook Air: After I choose "Hide Others" for an undistracted look at one window, "Show All" is grayed out. The only way to make other app windows re-appear seems to be choose each of them individually in the App Switcher.

Anyone else having this—or could try to see? Thanks.

Yep, I'm seeing the same behavior.

The menu bar in the most recent PB build no longer shows a selection "background" when clicking a menubar icon or text (ie, File). Annoying and more iOS-like. However, I suspect this may be a bug because when opening an application in full-screen, and clicking somewhere on the menu bar, the pre-PB2 behavior comes back (a "background" is shown behind the icon/text again), and exiting full screen keeps this behavior. Even logging out and back in will keep the "background". It's only when you restart that the "background" disappears.

I've submitted a bug, so let's see what happens in the next build!

Also, another bug is that when running the Installer and it shows the more iOS-ized screen (the Apple logo and the progress bar), pressing Shift, Control, Option, Command, and W simultaneously no longer reverts it to the traditional installer UI with the menu bar, being able to view the installation log, etc. This was present in Catalina and earlier versions of macOS ever since the new installer UI was introduced. (see information here; this works in 10.12 to 10.15)

At any rate, I'm hoping it's a bug, not yet another removal/dumbing down of the OS. Submitted as a bug/question, let's hope the team gets back to me!

I'm having the same issue with my MacPro7,1 starting with Beta 5.

"May I suggest a bit of spell checking before posting"

May I suggest that you respect other languages.

In the Highlands they speak Gaelic.

But I am not from the Highlands: that's why I speak Scots (Lallans).

Apologies if I offended. I was trying to understand your post assuming it was the Queens English and failed miserably. Being from Sweden I did not pick up that this was another language / dialect. As I said initially, no disrespect was intended.

No offense taken. But I am a bit taken aback anent that "Queens English" as His Britannic Majesty King Francis II, King of England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and the North American Colonies is not married.

I hope you were not refering to the illegitimate pretender Elizabeth Windsor.

Notification Center is really janky. It's hard hover on new notifications to get the "x" to appear.
Yep, I've had that issue for the last couple of betas. It's mainly mail notifications that causes me issues. I've found either slowly moving the mosue pointer over the notification, or moving it on and off it a few times, eventually causes the options to appear.
