1. Copy/paste usually does not function. When I go to paste, it is the last item on the clipboard! The only way to make it work is to CUT and then paste, but I'm not used to it and it's a big hassle.
2. Clicking 'play' on a song (the icon) doesn't play the song. You have to do that and then click play again at the top.
3. Clicking on windows does not always take me to that app. Sometimes, when it does, a different window is active, causing all kinds of alert fuss since I'm trying to type with no text field active.
4. Speaking of that alert, it happens a lot. Sometimes the field I'm typing into, others not and alerts come with each keystroke.
5. Also, on the subject of active fields, it is not always obvious text is selected or not (leading to more keystroke error sounds) and I try to type over that and it won't work. So I have to explicitly click and highlight that field to type in it, Sometimes even that does not work! What is with the gray highlight? I can hardly see when something is highlighted.
It would seem the problem is wider spread. From browsers, to the Music app, etc. When clicking on a window, it does not always highlight the window picked. This leads to cmd-W and cmd-Q mess ups!
Further, if I click in a text field then hit cmd-A (select all) I get the keyboard error alert. If I just copy the text and try to paste it in another app, only the previous clipboard item is pasted. I have to cut and then move to another app and
usually it pastes the correct item.
If I click into an already filled in field and attempt to type where the cursor is now, I get the error alert again. The only way to type over text is to delete what is there and type it out, select one or multiple characters and type over the top of the previously selected term. If I cmd-TAB away from the app, then cmd-TAB back in - the cursor remains in the field, blinking. However, unexpectedly, I have no ability to alter that text or even add to it or delete. Instead it takes the default action of the keystroke for the rest of the application. Example, again, Music.app: If I type in the search box and never click out, then shoot over to another app and come back, the cursor is in the same spot blinking. In this case I'm typing SPACE, which starts or stops the music and does not affect the text field I'm in!
Another annoyance is that when double clicking in the field (the first time) I get the same error alert. If I attempt it a second time, it works. Finally, when text is selected, in dark mode, I can hardly see whatever text is "highlighted" since the bg color is very, very dark.
These are not minor issues for me. As I do all these actions frequently it is strongly interrupting my workflow and I cannot have that!
Anyone have some advice?
