...I've just found out that the button is off to the right of the Apple ID window & completely out of sight. It comes into view only when I scroll right across the the right-hand side!!

Have reported it via Feedback Assistant
Same here, running Public Beta. Thanks.

IM on Beta 8 as of today! any knows major issues? seems to run fine for me..... I had to upgrade to Quickbooks 2020 from 2016, but that was expected... I havent had any issues yet at all.

Minor issue carried over from the previous beta: if you mute your volume and play a video (e.g. youtube or Apple TV) then it'll unmute and play. If you toggle unmute/mute then it'll mute. Until the next time you load a new video.

If they went live with this version (beta 8) I'd actually be ok with it. No show stoppers that I've found.

There is going to one more beta for sure before GM..... everything is running really smooth my my imac5k late 2015

Minor issue with Beta 8 (started with Beta 7), when you try play audio files in the Finder, the sound is heavily distorted making the audio files unplayable. I think this only occurs on Macs with T2 Chip as I know.

I managed to upgrade to Beta 8 from the command line, but it hasn't fixed my issue. None of the panes in the System Preference panel work for me. All of them give me the spinning wheel of death until I reboot. Been like this through the last 2 betas.

Anyone have any suggestions for fixing this?

(Actually, Beta 8 seems to have made this very slow, but functional. Still looking for ideas, though.)

Yeah I sent in a report last week about this. I find when going to desktop/screen saver the pictures take a few seconds to show as well. Running on a 2019 27" iMac.

Slow is better than spinning wheel of death. Updating from the command line was a tool I'd never tried before, and it worked quite well, so not a bad overall experience.

This is very small, but the Music app FINALLY allows you to double click on a track and start playing :). It's been a while!

System Preferences seems ok/fast for me but I log in with an Apple ID with no Family Sharing, perhaps it's polling for an Apple ID when it starts?

SMB works, but over an encrypted connection it's woefully slow reading even the smallest of directories (like 8 entries?)

FWIW, System Preferences (at least the security portion) is slow on my MBP 2020 on Catalina. Just reading how this update's going and chiming in.

I have zero issues nothing is slow for me , I have iOS 14.2 and max is beta 8... my max os is my daily system and I go from beta to beta upgrade and have been for 4 years with out wiping s single things

Is anyone else having problems with TextEdit opening Rich Text Documents with Attachments (.rtfd) files. When I double click an .rtfd file in Finder it launched TextEdit but then hangs.

So I had the start up sound in beta 1 on my iMac 5K and it’s gone again ? Why is the start up sound fine again? Anyway to fix it?
