My Mail.app isn't marked flagged messages as flagged in the message list in anything other than the default column layout. I use the older view (mail accounts/boxes as a single column on the left, message list as a panel above, selected message displayed below the message list), and flags are entirely absent from the message list. I already submitted this as an issue. Any one else seeing it?

Anyone tried BIt Defender Suite? Should I waste my install trying it yet? :p It renews for me in October. Not gonna chew fingernails over it but I do like the product.

Thank you!

I dunno guys but this version of Mail is like Beta 1 or 2. It's garbage. AAAAGgggghhh. Trying to give it love but the Mail client? It was doing pretty well last beta. God they're not trying to port it to Catalyst are they? Oh man...

"Mail" . . . Oh, Ha, Ha, Ha . . . I worked out a long time ago (OK, only 2005) that while macOS is
a lovely system, its inbuilt programs are not; so I always use open source alternatives: Brave, LibreOffice, Thunderbird, GIMP, krita . . .

It is not working anymore. I made a request to Bitdefender and they told me that currently the antivirus is not compatible with Big Sur macOS because it is in BETA status. That I must wait for the final version of the operating system.

MacBook Pro 16" with eGPU. Sleep/wake works OK with the latest beta. The one before had kernel panics. (Not sure if the eGPU is in any way correlated, but thought it's worth mentioning.)

Late 2015 27” iMac crashes upon wake from sleep with latest Beta released this week. I just put it to sleep after quitting any open apps. I guess I’ll see what happens tomorrow. Restarts upon wake on its own, but it takes a long time to recover. The previous Beta did not crash. Live and learn the life of our brave Beta testers 😂

Whereas my 2015 12” does not crash under the newest Beta.

What crashes exactly? You get a kernel panic?

slot of times I don’t even out the max to sleep, I just lock the screen and that’s it. In power setting I have sleep disabled when screen goes off!!!

but if I’m away for a long time I put to sleep and always have outlook 365 open and no crashing no nothing. You must have some other issues maybe faulty ram or who knows some usb device plugged in?

I don’t have any usb devices plugged

Beta 7 System Preferences loaded slowly. Beta 8 it is completely unusable. Not sure what I'm going to do when Beta 9/GM comes out. Can't even get to system update.

When the next beta is released, you can try updating via Terminal if you can't get it via system preferences.
Open Terminal and enter:
systemupdate -a -i --verbose

Hey gals and lads! How could we get macOS Big Sur to remember the order of icons on the Menu Bar even after rebooting inasmuch as for some reason mine sticks to what it wants?

Cheers!

Have you tried a new user profile? Maybe it’s something to do with your user name log in?
Create a temp new user and try again

I would also do a nice time machine backup now and when GM comes out update via terminal and than if you still have issues, time to format reinstall Mac OS and restore data?

It’s crazy cause I been upgrading from beta to beta since 2016 with no major issues like I said, typical VMware issues and little things but once updates for software comes out it’s fine. Never had max is stability issues at all.

I had one issues where my keyboard and mouse couldn’t be detected had to get wired mouse and keyboard happened 3 times through out beta but hasn’t happen in a long time and I also did nvram reset and all that

Why am I supposed to change this option to my AirPods each single time I put them on?

I am pulling my hair on how slow everything is on beta 11. Well, ever since I uploaded Big Sur, it's been slow. I know its a beta but damn. It's like it can't do 2 things at once. Example: when I click on Safari and it's loading I click on messages or clear out my trash it takes forever for one to do the other. It's like I'm back in Windows.

I was able to update from beta 8 to beta 9 on my iMac, OTA. Sadly, my 16" MBP (also on beta 8) isn't seeing the OTA for beta 9 :(

I don't think that's the typical experience. Without knowing the hardware you're on, it's hard to guess ... but I'm wondering if this is an issue of Big Sur wanting to reindex everything for spotlight.

I've been running Big Sur on my 2014 iMac since beta 3 or 4 (can't recall which) and have been running it on my 16" MBP since beta 7, and it's running quite smooth on both of them.
