It is not working anymore. I made a request to Bitdefender and they told me that currently the antivirus is not compatible with Big Sur macOS because it is in BETA status. That I must wait for the final version of the operating system.
BTW, saw this before and meant to thank you for saving me a call/emails, etc. Besides charging too much for the suite, they aren't willing to play with those who will help them beta. Even anti-malware. Sucks having to wait. That's why I a stupid beta guy.

"Mail" . . . Oh, Ha, Ha, Ha . . . I worked out a long time ago (OK, only 2005) that while macOS is
a lovely system, its inbuilt programs are not; so I always use open source alternatives: Brave, LibreOffice, Thunderbird, GIMP, krita . . .
Yeah, I know. It would great if the Mail client was stable though and promote extensions or plug-ins to add specific features. It's Apple. They can't figure out how to do that? Email is still the most highly used application on the face of this planet and their Mail client is meh. Would Would Steve Say? 😐

The graphite setting and System Preferences doesn't live too well together - there's no text on the different tabs / sections of any independent Preferences Pane that deal with tabs. Language and Region and also Keyboard has the issue.

Switching to the standard color option for either light or dark mode brings back this text. This is on a somewhat clean installation of the latest public beta of Big Sur - installed yesterday with only a few things set up.

If this is mentioned anywhere, then I accept defeat.

Menu Bar - Bad design and bug.png

Anyone know how to get rid of this line in the menu bar? It's not my wallpaper either, I've tried different wallpapers and stock ones and it's still present. Moving the menu icons around does nothing either.

Outside of that B9 has been excellent so far, digging the new designs and it feels faster than Catalina.

Anyone else noticed when you put a slider on a website and put the cursor on it, you can’t scroll the site anymore? I tried 3 different sliders. The problem only occurs on Safari and only on Big Sur.

In mission control (swipe up with three fingers), add then use a new virtual desktop.

a.) "issue" here on Big Sur with Safari 14 sidebar -> opening a folder, favicon's not shown. Re-Open the folder favicon shows up.

b.) still no firewire access to connected and reported devices in system profiler but not accessible by any app.

Does anyone else have MIA Desktop and Documents sync in iCloud? The "Options" aren't there...

If this is a known issue - is there a way to toggle it on via Terminal? This is a clean install of the latest beta.

While they improved upon Safari stability, I still have Safari starting up and instantly quitting sometimes. Neither is the "open in low resolution" in Get Info functional.

Graphite is downright broken on Big Sur. There is almost no difference in active or inactive states on controls. I just assume no one in Apple use it.

Does anyone else experience this issue with b7..... volume either unmutes (menu bar icon changes) without user intervention, or sound plays despite volume being muted (menu bar icon still show muted)

MBP 16" .... it's really frustrating. I was watching a YouTube video on mute and it just keep unmuting itself, id have to toggle mute on/off on Touch Bar to mute again, then 30 seconds later the same. Happens on other things too
Just Noticed this on my new 2020 iMac, seems to be the only annoying bug I can see so far. Everything else running quite well.

Hey! The shortcuts for Copy/Cut/Paste via keyboard in PowerPOint are not functional. To be precise, a sound only will play out! That's it! 🧐

For me textedit has some bugs too.
When mouse scrolling a txt file with "lots of lines" I cannot reach the end of the document (the lateral scroll bar changes its lenght in some cases too), only down arrow on the keyboard to go to the bottom line; resizing the textedit window resets also the lateral scroll bar lenght (in some cases).
Try the attached file, open it, don't resize the window, mouse scroll down and try to reach the last line of the document (testbottom).
I need 25 times down arrow from the keyboard to reach the end of the document.

UPDATE: fixed in beta 10

I don't think that's the typical experience. Without knowing the hardware you're on, it's hard to guess ... but I'm wondering if this is an issue of Big Sur wanting to reindex everything for spotlight.

I've been running Big Sur on my 2014 iMac since beta 3 or 4 (can't recall which) and have been running it on my 16" MBP since beta 7, and it's running quite smooth on both of them.
Sometimes I think it's because I don't have enough memory or something. But this can be frustrating when I'm trying to do 2 things at a time.

The problem of videos ignoring the "mute" setting and playing audio anyway, is fixed in beta 10.

New issue: dragging a photo from Photos to Finder (including the desktop) doesn't work, although exporting it using the menu (or shortcut key) works fine. Well, I say fine, but any photo that's been edited either on the phone or laptop in Photos trashes the metadata (IPTC) which then export empty.
