Just as an example: Adguard got their new version working with BS 9&10 (and Apple/BS has forced major changes in the product) and then changes in beta 11 halt all that good work. So waiting on a Apple fixing the issue.

These issues are not about the visible glossy iOS-like interface. This is changes to underpinning functionality (particularly around replacements for using kernel extensions) which are still fluid.

AdGuard latest beta works fine for me. They continuously update to keep up with Big Sur updates. I'm finding beta b10 to be pretty good.

I should have been explicit. I was referring to Adguard for Mac 2.5.0.902 which was working with BS beta 9 and then not with BS beta 10. Adguard for Safari works.

It was just an example of the way that BS is still introducing new issues for developers and their apps. It is not yet all forward progress.

I feel like I repeat myself every time, but what beta 11? Beta 10 20A5395g is the latest one I can find.

Edit: Latest AdGuard beta and nightly doesn't work for me either in b10 fwiw.

That does indeed work now, but I had to change back to using the Kernel Extension to make YouTube work. Which requires SIP to be turned off. *sigh*

I use Maschine from Native Instruments to make music. It's been fine from the first beta, but now in the latest version, the software crashes basically every time I use the transport controls on the hardware controller to start recording. It's a huge pain. Not sure if it's Native Instruments' problem or Apple's but it's not great!

anyone have issues with Time machine backup? I have two network drives, i backup to both of them. one of them still works on beta 10, the other one I cant conenct to it anymore via TM, but i can browse the folder via network and map them and see all the files? idk what happen here

I have the same problem since the newest Big Sur beta. Other Catalina Mac can backup to that same time capsule drive without issues.

Looks like the HP printer issue that hit Catalina is affecting Big Sur. And all the workarounds for Catalina don't appear to work for Big Sur.

Safari crashes on startup if the Start Page is set as the first page and iCloud tabs are displayed. Workaround: Launch Safari directly to another URL. Feedback in progress.

Anybody still has issues with smb and 11.0.1?
I'm using smb v3 with samba 4.12.6 (server is linux).
On some files I still have -8084 error; transfer of the same files works with no problems in Catalina.
Moreover is still slow in browsing files in 11.0.1 compared to Catalina.
I had to switch to nfs protocol, which has no issue.
SMB is broken from beta 6 (included) for me, was working good for beta 5 and before.

I also had issues with SMB file transfers up to b6 and then it was fixed in a later beta, can't remember which. I just updated to 11.0.1 beta and can still transfer large files via SMB v3 to my Synology NAS.
