New in Beta 10.
The Quick User switcher in the menu bar is on even if the check box if off in System Preferences > Dock & Menu Bar.
I also tried using Command + Drag to remove it and it just popped back after the delete animation.

SMB in beta 10 still giving error -8084 with large files: same files are transferred without problems in Catalina.
Moreover, SMB is a lot slower than in Catalina, this throws errors when accessing files on smb, such for virtual machines.

Did anyone ever figure out how to get the Apple Watch unlock feature to work with Big Sur? It works on my Air but is not working on my MacBook

New issue: dragging a photo from Photos to Finder (including the desktop) doesn't work, although exporting it using the menu (or shortcut key) works fine. Well, I say fine, but any photo that's been edited either on the phone or laptop in Photos trashes the metadata (IPTC) which then export empty.
I also have that problem with beta 10.

The possibility of changing the login screen still does not work. The macOS Big Sur always remains and it does not take a wallpaper that one changes. This I have reported since beta 1.

Hi, I have updated Big Sur to Beta 10, and now I can't login. The MacBook just reboots every time I enter my password.

Does someone know how to solve it?

FireWire access to connected devices is now (finally) working with public beta 10

"The possibility of changing the login screen still does not work"

Cripes: talking about spoilt.

Yesterday my computers were all being a "bit odd", so I whacked the Writer floppy disk into my BBC Master Micro Compact and did some typing, then rebooted the thing into BBC BASIC and did some analysis of phatic statements using a wee program I whipped up in 1987. Worked like a charm: 3 second boot time: no distracting GUI . . .

Nice dot-matrix printer did its stuff as well.

I wish people would stop complaining about the fairy lights on the Christmas tree.

Native VPN (Cisco IPSEC) not working....!?!

Connection will be established without any error, but no traffic @All is possible. Not able to reach any IP or URL.

Same issue on DP9 and DP10.

Edit:

Found the answer by myself. Litte Snitch 5 BETA 1 was the key.....

Safari was sometimes quitting instantly when first accessing or sometimes after so much browsing it would quit instantly also. That was with Big Sur betas up to beta 9. It looked like it was related to a graphic driver on my late 2015 iMac using M395X.

Since updating to Big Sur beta 10 I haven't seen this anymore - Fixed.

Based on responses, the latest beta is pretty stable with a few minor issues but nothing huge. Downloading the beta this moment on my macbook, excited to try Big Sur for the first time. Nothing I should worry about if I just use my macbook for web browsing, youtube, netflix, and some occasional xcode right?

I see nothing wrong with using it its very stable. They even enabled the "open in low resolution" with get info against a application that was disabled in prior betas with beta 10.

I see Apple still needs to resolve the fact that Apple's APFS replication utility is still not currently capable of replicating a Big Sur System volume. Carbon Copy Mac makes use of that, have work around. Still things are way closer with this beta 10 IMHO.

From roughly 2 hours of use, it does seem very stable of a beta. Only issue I'm having is scrolling in Safari is not smooth like it was in Catalina. Anyone also having this issue or know how to fix it?

I'm not having that issue, but then again I'm on a 2020 iMac. Have you tried Safari TP and see if there's a difference?

Text in top menu bar is not readable on secondary monitor, see spoilers.
Any workaround?

I'll give Safari TP a shot if it doesn't go away. I'm on a 2020 MBP so perhaps it has something to do with the integrated graphics.
