Yes, actually I have 2 USB drives plugged in. One for Time Machine and one for storage. Both are 2TBs. The non time machine usb storage device when plugged in causes the problem. When unplugged, no problem. Took me a while to figure it out and your post asking made me troubleshoot some more. Thanks!We’re you able to find a workaround? I had the same problem after upgrading, but it only affected my keyboard. I have the newer keyboard, so I was able to plug it in and then proceed. I am curious as to how you were able to get around this issue (if at all).
Note: The problem drive isn't encrypted like the Time Machine drive. Encrypting it now to see if that resolves the issue so I can leave it in.
