Hi,

Can anyone check if this bug has been fixed?
In Finder sidebar, right click a tag, choose rename. Are you able to rename the tag from there? This is not possible in Mojave.

Thanks!

Interesting. I don't use tags so I never noticed that. There have been times in the past when the UI people got ahead of themselves. It will be interesting to see if this works in Catalina.

Got a reply in another post confirming it works!

It takes forever (literal hour+) for iPad (iOS12) to load in Finder. Then the file interface won’t let you select more than one file at the time. Copying a file to Desktop then switched out of the folder, causing a new reload to be required. Crazy buggy.
[doublepost=1561170189][/doublepost]A workaround is to retrieve the files using iExplorer

Anyone Got Time Machine working - mine seems to backup and then right at the end - get an error about copying files.

Another issue for Apple..

Seems the simple things that are their bread and butter - aren't working - pretty poor for even a beta.

I agree. Catalina is the worst set of OS X/macOS betas I’ve ever used. This OS has a very long way to go before being ready for public use.

Just did a Time Machine backup and it worked fine on the latest beta!

Time Machine is working for me, so not everyone is affected. Feedback it, and hopefully the logs will help them fix it.

The first couple of dev betas being "a very long way to go before being ready for public use" is no surprise.

Agreed I find iOS 13 to be much more polished in comparison. My main issue right now is the trash can not emptying, and iCloud Drive Documents and Desktop is a bit wonky for me.

Occasionally I notice my laptop running a bit hot and the battery draining a bit faster than usual. Checking running processes shows a "killall" using close to 100% cpu.

So I kill the killall process and all is ok again.

I feedback'd this a few days ago and see that it's one of those "more than 10 reports" ones, so it's known and should be fixed in the next beta.

My Mac has certainly calmed down in the bugs, or I’m just avoiding triggering them by carefully using the Mac now. My trash bin is a monster now that I’m waiting to empty out and as long as I don’t trigger other bugs regarding Finder, Time Machine works for me. This photoanalysisd daemon keeps crashing though. Very annoying.

Are other people having trouble with Chrome and Brave? Every time, I open them, they crash immediately.

With Brave, I'm getting the following:
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes: EXC_I386_GPFLT

With Chrome, I'm getting the following or no report at all:
Exception Type: EXC_BAD_ACCESS (SIGSEGV)
Exception Codes: KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS at 0x0000000000000147

Opera doesn't work either. No other browser except Safari is working for me.

@MrBlack101 Chrome is fine on my MacBook Pro 2017

New issue- can anyone verify this is a bug and not a "me" issue: Shifting Tiles Screen Saver will not load any pictures. Which is odd because I have it linked to a folder with pictures, and they show up in the view when you select that Screensaver but if you run the Screensaver or it kicks in it displays "No Photos"

See FIX that worked for me below (#221).

I had the same issue initially though it seems to have resolved itself. I had to go in to screen saver settings and set the directory I use for pictures again. Save and it worked fine. A couple of reboots later it happened again and I did the same as above. It has been working now for about a week or so with no further issues. I'm on DB2

Quick question on the screen savers, when they aren't set to Shuffle do they start at the same image every time or do they continue on from where they left off from the previous time the screen saver was exited? The screen savers used to do the later, but in the .3(?) release of Mojave they changed to always starting from the same image. Very annoying if you point the screen saver at a large directory of images. Shuffle is worse as it seems to display some images very often and other images never seem to appear.

I tried that initially and that had no effect. Running Public Beta 19A487m.

I get no images in the preview unless I reset the directory, but even after that and after they show up in the little preview window, they never load on the actual screen saver.

Ok figured it out.

FIX that worked for me: Screensaver pictures folder apparently cannot be in a folder shared to Icloud Drive. I copied the folder to Local Documents and it works fine.

Hi! Just recently installed the beta. Now All my iCloud files are gone from my desktop and finder. Its a 2014 Retina Macbook Pro. I've tried turning iCloud drive on and off without luck.

Anyone with the same problem?

Cheers

Ah good. Mine is located within a subfolder in my Documents area. Though I believe mine is shared with iCloud. I'm going to check on this here shortly. I'll let you know how it fairs for me.

Does anyone else have a problem whereby an application will hang if you attempt to use the 'File Open' dialog?

For example, say I'm using Safari (or Sublime, or Excel, or whatever), and I go to File -> Open [File]... then the application will hang and I need to force-quit it.
