Mojave installed on release date. I have noticed that more often than not when turning both of my Macs on and logging in that Facetime launches automatically. Never had this problem in High Sierra.

Yes I'm getting this as well.

I'm, also finding that (and it might be a coincidence) that when running chrome, with 2 windows open simultaneously that the spinning wheel happens allot and to the extent where I have to force shutdown.
A result of having FileVault enabled.

I think i had the same glitch yesterday on one page.
It happened for every browsers, so I think it is Mojave problems. Didn't see this issue before. Actually, I did reinstall Mojave and issue still remains. This time no File Vault

I'm having an issue which first popped up in the earliest beta and doesn't seem to have been fixed. Basically, I am unable to copy files from my Mac to shared drives located on other computers. Very quickly into trying this, it abruptly aborts and dismounts the shared drive icon. It doesn't matter whether I am copying a small text file or a multiple GB .dmg file, it always happens.

Fortunately I can just go to the other computer and perform the file transfer in reverse from the other computer, but it's a glaring bug that I haven't seen anyone else mention.

First, my icons don't show an actual preview of the files. It's system wide.

I wish I could make this the default for every folder open in list or column view. I constantly have to go to the view options to help me find my most recently modified Pages or Keynote files...

So are you saying that it's not recommended to run FileVault? Have to say it's been allot more stable now that FileVault has finished encrypting. No crashes so far since. Also I think the MAMP version I was running was making things hang.
No, I have it enabled too. It’s just something we have to sit through after each reboot.

Anyone else having trouble getting movies to play on external hd’s or NAS?

Finder is displaying my cover art for the ones I’m able to play, but when I try to play the ones with no cover art, QuickTime just freezes and I have to force quit. The same exact thing happened in High Sierra when it was released. Super frustrating.

When I got Mojave on both the mid-2012 MBPro and 2014 iMacs, I keep getting logged out within a few seconds of logging in. I tried PRAM & SMC reset. I reverted back to High Sierra on the iMac, but am trying to troubleshoot it on my MBPro. Haven't had any luck so far. Any ideas?

I have that also. It‘s the window server crashing.

The News application will NOT progress from the loading screen, on my Mac Pro. Meanwhile, on my MacBook Pro, News works fine. Both are running the latest release of Mojave.

Not much other than that, besides some minor UI / graphical glitches. Screen Shot 2018-09-26 at 3.15.57 PM.png

I upgraded to Mojave on release day on both my Mid 2014 MacBook Pro and my wife's 12-inch MacBook, and Safari, System Preferences, Photos and all the new UIKit apps crash on startup on both our laptops.

Screenshot 2018-09-26 at 9.38.11 AM.png Screenshot 2018-09-26 at 9.38.22 AM.png

I can launch them manually with this instruction I found on Apple Support Communities:

"Safari -> Show Package Contents -> Contents -> MacOS and double-clicking on Safari"

This will launch the app from the Terminal.

I logged a call with Apple Support yesterday and they took a bunch of diagnostic files, no fix yet.

Hello everyone,

I have just upgraded my Macbook to macOS Mojave. However, I notice something when my computer is completely turned off: startup is fine, I see a black screen with an Apple logo, entering my password is fine as well. Then I see a loading screen of macOS Mojave, which then jumps in a black screen with an Apple logo, which also contains a loading bar. Eventually I get to see my desktop.

Does this happen to you guys too?

noticed bugs :

device : MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2017)

i am using Verbatim USB-C Hub adapter with ethernet port, and i am using ethernet cable through the verbatim usb-c hub adapter for the internet connection.

Problem is, when the mbp sleep, it will disconnect all connected usb-c device from all the port (except if we using it for charging the mbp). In High Sierra, when we wake up the mbp, it will auto re-connect the verbatim usb-c hub adapter so that my ethernet connection will be automatically connected with the cable. But in Mojave, it won't do that, after wake-up, the system will not auto re-connect the usb-c adapter so that I must un-plug and re-plug it everythin the mbp sleep and wake-up so that the usb-c adapter with ethernet cable will connect again. Quite frustating, the temporary solution is not to let the mbp sleep with amphetamine until this bugs is fixed.

Anyway, how to submit the bugs to apple and let them know this issue ?

Word 2016 fully updated : when you spell check, the first word shows up fine, but then all words after are covered by a grey box.. Basically spelling check isn't usable anymore.

This happens on all my 10.14 rigs.

Hi everybody. After installing Mojave the official one when I open a pdf file and try to select some text to copy and paste it somewhere else the selection does not become colored, as it usually happens, but remains transparent and consequently I can never understand if I have selected or not the word to copy ... how can I fix this bug?

This is a Wiki, so anyone can edit it and add bugs and/or bug fixes.

10.14 DP1
-------------------------------------------------------
Bugs:
  • various interface issues in the macOS installer (buttons have no borders, overlapping text etc.)
  • News crashes if you try and Force Touch on a word
  • About This Mac still displays a High Sierra icon
  • DVD Player won't open .dvdmedia files (I'm actually struggling to get it to play anything at all!)
  • MAS doesnt show your purchases (just "No purchases").
  • UIKitSystem Quit Unexpectedly Error//iOS Ported Apps (Home, News, Stocks, Memos) will not open
  • No minimise button in Mail
  • Glitches and/or black screen with (fullscreen) video playback in safari (YouTube)
  • When previewing picture (PNG) in finder, zooming in beyond a certain point introduces glitches to the image and the zoomed part of the image is no longer rendered correctly.
  • Preferences option in Appstore is not accessible (greyed out)
  • Safari 12.0 (14606.1.17.40.4) freezes completely from time to time. audio/video playback continues in the background (tab) but Safari becomes unresponsive to user input. Only fix is force-quitting it and restarting.
  • preview icon not showing the images. Just a default jpg or png icon.
Fixes:
  • -
10.14 DP3

First night with Mojave and not a good result. Wth Sierra I seemed to lose 3% - 6% if I left my MBPro sleeping from 6pm until 8am. Wth High Sierra that went to 6% - 10%. So at 8am I might be at 94% - 90%.

I did a clean install of Mojave, and it's down to 70% this morning.

Very significant power drain.
