Walgreens just announced they're buying Rite Aid, so I guess we can expect Apple Pay support relatively soon.
Forgot about that. Got them mixed up with CVS.I thought they already supported Apple Pay.

no, Rite Aid was a part of the MCX cabal....
Yes, but they added support a few months ago.
They did? I stopped going to Rite Aid after they turned off NFC (there was a Walgreens on the other corner).
NoSo does Home Depot currently accept Apple Pay? I've read conflicting things. I have to make a fairly large purchase and would love that Discover cashback...

They used to then stopped. I was going to Lowes for my stuff until I found out that HD would take ApplePay (prior to turning it off). The HD stores are a mess most of the time. Well, now that they don't take it again, I'm back at Lowes. So does Home Depot currently accept Apple Pay? I've read conflicting things. I see plenty of CVS locations on the Mastercard Contactless locator and another manager knew they were turning on NFC, also EMV will most likely be enabled along with it. I also see plenty of Wal-Marts on the locator as well, so no idea what that means. I'm quite glad to see CVS turning it on, but I'm still a bit sour towards them for turning it off in the first place.Apple Pay at CVS appears to be imminent. My wife told me that yesterday she saw an AP sign at a CVS near her office (though not there today). I tried AP again at another CVS. It did not work as before but manager of store, who saw me try, said they just received the materials about implementing it and it should be up and running within a few weeks, if not sooner. Might possibly work at some locations already.
Wal-Mart was mentioned earlier. The markings are for Subway or McDonald's restaurants inside the Wal-Mart and not for the store itself.I see plenty of CVS locations on the Mastercard Contactless locator and another manager knew they were turning on NFC, also EMV will most likely be enabled along with it. McDonalds and Subways inside of Walmart are not owned not have any association with Walmart other than the leased space.Wal-Mart was mentioned earlier. The markings are for Subway or McDonald's restaurants inside the Wal-Mart and not for the store itself.
The local Walmart near me replaced perfectly functioning new Verifones with Ingenico ISC250s, I bet it is coming to Walmart soon enough.
Sounds like they are standardizing their equipment now? Did they have the MX915's, then replaced them with iSC250's? They still have many MX860's that need to be replaced, and I wonder if they are replacing them as well?McDonalds and Subways inside of Walmart are not owned not have any association with Walmart other than the leased space.

Even if they did take it Discover contactless is such a mess right now like Amex is. Visa and MasterCard seem to work consistently all the time however. So does Home Depot currently accept Apple Pay? One location had Mx860 and the other one had Mx915s! They randomly were isc250s when I walked in one day. They should have standardized from the beginning. I never understood the mish mosh there was before. At least now the Self Check Outs have the same terminals as the regular checkouts.Sounds like they are standardizing their equipment now? My quote was to say the Mastercard App is pointing out the Subway and McDonalds locations inside the Wal-Mart's, they share an address. The Wal-Mart's themselves are not what the app is pointing to as an option. Wal-Mart is the founding member of Current C which has not yet died so taking ApplePay will be low on their list for sure in principal alone.McDonalds and Subways inside of Walmart are not owned not have any association with Walmart other than the leased space.

Chick Fil A only accepts Apple Pay at like 5 locations currently, which is pretty lame. Support for all Chick Fila A is coming eventually.
