Did they use Verifone MX915 (http://www.verifone.com/media/413260/MX915_1_lg.jpg) or Ingenico ISC250 (https://www.poshighway.com/assets/images/ingenico_isc250_1.jpg) for customer facing equipment? The latter has a hardware green light that lights up once NFC is ready to be used. I think some Autozones may use MX915's while others use iSC250's.
Went shopping again and wanted to come back and tell you the terminal had 4 green lights at the top when it took the payment.

Anyway, I'm curious to see if anyone's had problems with Apple Pay at Petco recently. My card declined today when I attempted to use Apple Pay there and Chase couldn't tell me why. My local Petco also apparently has chip support now but I don't know if that's related.
So do they use an IBM/Toshiba system, if so EMV will break contactless, or maybe not since it tried to do a fallback swipe instead of what it usually says which is use chip reader.

Yup they enabled NFC then, and I am still wondering about the chip support, also is this Autozone on the MC contactless locator? I've seen an Autozone on there, but I can't go to it for like a week at least. I guess i will check out both at that time.

I don't know. I can see if MC or AmEx with Apple Pay works next time I'm there.

Family Dollar is still listed in the lower list of stores not accepting Apple Pay. If they now do, please remove from the lower list.
Fixed it, but only some locations support it as I went to one without EMV and there was no NFC at all. I should probably go back and check it out again soon. I do see many Family Dollars on the ctls locator though mostly in the Southeast at this time.
I also went to an Autozone on the locator and no EMV or NFC was enabled at all so only some Autozone accept it as well.

For what it's worth, they claim June for full adoption. (See table at the bottom.)

This is the difficulty in the tracking on this list. Only some places in a chain may work. Not much you or I can do about really but assume if its on the works list it has at least been accepted by the company and has worked some place. Lately I have been trying the SpeedPass+ app for buying gas and have about a 50/50 result with that. It works but sometimes it doesn't.

Great list. But out of all those stores, there are only a couple I ever shop at, and only about once a month between them. Oh, and a couple of others I shop at maybe once a year.

The couple of stores at the top of my spending list are named but unfortunately are in the list not supporting the service. (Yet)

Yup just had the same issue at Petco myself. Apple Pay declined and forced to use EMV.

It seems my Family Dollar turned on EMV before June. So the receipts at Family Dollar and Dollar General look very similar and Family Dollar does not support us debit yet and they say to swipe chip debit cards. Dollar General was just like that the last time I was there and having the receipts looking similar makes me wonder why DG isn't accepting Contactless yet? I do see some DG on the contactless locator but I don't think its on.

Has anyone heard what Chipotle's plans are with this? I've only been able to find conflicting things in a web search. I also searched this thread and didn't find anything, so apologies if this has already been mentioned!

any word on Costco? I would love to have an ability to use ApplePay and store membership card in Passes section of the Wallet app - probably will never happen :(

Well they said they would be interested in accepting it but haven't heard of anything new for months now so I doubt anything has changed. KFC also has interest in accepting Apple Pay, but they are actually installing pinpads in KFC locations and has finally begun to enable NFC and probably EMV as well. Not sure how many KFC have it enabled at this time though. YMMV

Hopefully after the switch to Visa cards on June 20th they will actually start to accept contactless soon after.

Depends on whether the Citi Costco card actually has contactless. Their website's now showing the following card image, which makes me doubt that'll happen.

Pretty sure it does. On the Costco Visa card thread on flyer talk someone posted a photo of their card w the contactless logo.

The card having contactless has nothing to do with them accepting it. The Costco amex has had a chip for TWO YEARS, and my local Costco still doesn't accept chip cards.

Is Chick-fil-A telling us that June 1st the day for Apple Pay? The image is from their Facebook page.
