You'll want to keep a good Mojave installation around anyway if ever you need to fix something by booting natively.
But, if we replace our RX580 with a RX5700, can we boot with Mojave? I've got even the original GT120 somewhere in a box, because it's not worth selling it. But with RX580 it would be a different thing... Question is: could we manage OpenCore installation/problems, with RX5700+Mojave+GT120? Could be RX5700+HighSierra+GT120 a better option?

That response was addressed to someone with an RX 580. In your case, the best approach is probably to use an OpenCore rescue CD (see Maintenace > Creating a rescue CD in post #1). No need to swap graphics cards.

Problem with macOS 12.4?
I just updated from macOS 12.3.1 to 12.4. Then the Mac would suddenly go dark and force restart after a minute or two. And when the Mac starts up (before the white apple display), it always shows a message that the Mac has terminated abnormally.

Is macOS 12.4 still premature?

I reinstalled the OS from recovery mode and it extended the usable time slightly. The error message at startup is also gone. However, a forced reboot occurs.
What am I to suspect in this?

At a first glance it seems when activated, Siri tries to execute an instruction your CPU does not support. Someone with more experience in debugging should double check that.

Hmmm. Siri seems to be working just fine for me. Is there a particular question or instruction that will cause a "Siri kernel panic", if there's such a thing?

I have initialized my boot disk since then. No problems in the new state. I was able to keep the Mac running for at least 30 minutes. Next I restored from TimeMachine and got the forced restart phenomenon. I had root user enabled, so when I logged into macOS as root user, the problem did not occur. In other words, I found that there may be a problem with the user environment. Strange state after restore with TimeMachine. Whenever I log in as a user, the Mac is always forced to restart immediately after logging in. SafeBoot doesn't proceed to the login screen.
I will now investigate in my user folder.

It WORKS fine, I mean I can toggle the siri button, ask questions and do tasks like usual, the kernel panic happens without calling Siri at all, so, something siri does while on the background appears to make this happen, so it's almost completely random

I found out today that the sleep mod has stopped working.
After waking up from sleep, the computer goes to reboot, and the reboot goes into a loop.
with no compatible disk (what is being repaired by turning off the computer).
As i remember, some time ago cMP successfully sleeped and waked up.
What was changed in my settings:
I recently successfully installed windows and tomorrow i updated to 12.4.
May be the new config settings for Windows could have affected, but may be monterey update have affected.
Tomorrow i will try to return settings “no windows” to understand the reason.
I use two options of OC 0.8.0 config- the first as in instructions made by cdf and the second made by Martin Lo.
and i checked this sleep with both my config- the result is the same
EDIT:
Freq Rider reported: It’s a 12.4 issue. Even supported macs have reported it.

No problems with macOS 12.4 so far on my purist's setup. Tested Siri without any related issues. Sleep and wake work perfectly fine as always.
Same here, working fine. Sleep / wake is great now I've ditched the TB3 card, which is fantastic given this thing is full of Samsung NVME.

Devices connected to an unmodified GC-TITAN RIDGE card can prevent sleep. If you ever want to use the card again, you may want to do that modification:

I adjusted preference files in the user library folder where I'm having problems and now macOS 12.4 runs stable. I have not been able to pinpoint which specific file is the culprit, but it appears that the problematic file is in a configuration file that begins with "com.apple". I have restored the configuration files that are obvious applications like Music, FaceTime, iMessage, Finder, and Dock. I have not reproduced the problem restoring them. I think there is probably a problem with the configuration file regarding the account.
Incidentally, PRAM reset, SMC reset, and disk repair with Disk Utility did not solve anything. I manually reworked every setting before deleting preference files, but still could not fix the problem.

Next I restored from TimeMachine and got the forced restart phenomenom.
We can conclude that this has nothing to do with Open Core and 12.4. I have seen Time machine making problems like this several times in the past. I recommend using Migration Assistant instead of Time machine if possible.

Thanks, I did have that link in place, though I still found sleep / wake a touch unpredictable. To be fair though, there's a lot of "moving parts" involved in my TB connection and when I'm using that gear I never have time to track it down. :D

Does your procedure have any bearing on a flashed Titan Ridge TB v1 card?
