I've successfully migrated to Monterey from Mojave using OCLP and migration assistant. My Fenvi T919 combo card and the front USB ports however no longer work. Are there any solutions to this?
Connect USB 2.0 hubs to get USB 1.1 devices to work?

Fenvi T919 is just a nice format adapter for the made for Apple Broadcom BCM94360CDP, the BT controller is USB1.1 like every other BCM94360CDP.

So, same limitations apply.
Ah I see what you’re saying.

Is the process really as easy as plugging in a USB 2/3 hub to one of the ports?

Connect everything OHCI/USB1.1 that you have to the USB v2.0/v3.0 hub, then the USB hub to the Mac Pro USB ports, doing it this way it will force the EHCI/USB v2.0 connection instead and you won't have issues with OHCI devices that are not supported with Monterey.

Got it.

So in the case of the pcie slot combo card, this solution won’t work. I moved my mouse and keyboard and they’re fine however.

Works fine, I did it for two Macs at work, you just have to buy a USB-A male to Dupont-9 male cable. Something like this one below, but measure the length correctly and buy the correct length for the way you configured your Mac Pro.

Connect the Fenvi T919 original USB cable to the Dupont-9 male connector, connect the USB-A to the USB v2.0/3.0 hub, the USB hub to the Mac Pro native USB ports. Seems complicated at first, but it's very simple/cheap and solves the OHCI issue definitively.

Btw, I've bought this cable below to direct connect the Fenvi T919 to the USB hub, I'm waiting it to arrive to confirm that is the cable with the right connector/pinout for the Fenvi card:

If you don't mind reformatting, make sure to select the entire drive (in Disk Utility, select View > Show All Devices). If you just select the volume (from the default view), the EFI partition actually remains untouched.
A related question. I haven't done a clean install on my Mac 5.1 for 8 years or so (yea been awhile). If I add a volume to a SSD that has Catalina + EFI and plan to use the new Volume for a clean install of Monterey, will there be any issues? I assume I just leave the EFI alone. And can I eventually (or not) get rid of Catalina after I install all the Applications on Monterey. Thoughts? Thanks

Another issue: I’ve got Bluetooth working but it requires me to plug the Fenvi into the USB hub every time I restart the mac pro.

Bluetooth itself is working well. Is it possible enable handoff and continuity in Monterey? Opencore isn't as well documented as previous workarounds from 10.14 and .15 so it's all new to me.

Guys,

I've a big problem, I tried to install Mac OS Ventura on my Macbook Air mid 2011 - MacBookAir4,2 - A1369 using OCLP 0.6.1. There was an error during installing updates, there was no other option, I had to reboot my Mac and now I just get a gray screen. There is no startup sound, no apple appears, just stuck on gray screen.

I already tried, reset SMC reset and PRAM reset, and of course I googled it. Now I've a brick.

Please, I accept any help to resolve this.

Thanks in advanced.

This thread is for Opencore on the Mac Pro not OCLP. Most of us are not familiar with OCLP so you will find better help on the OCLP discord

Does anyone have any idea what's going on here? It's not a huge deal, just a little annoying.

i have been told to seek advice in this thread about video support.

I am looking for monterey+ and ventura support for an old single slot GPU ATI 2600xt or similar.

i use the monitor to enable boot screen and selector.
it is an auxiliary monitor and has minor function if i use windows 10 or mac os.

Apparently there is no driver support for the 2600XT or perahps a GT120 after 10.15.

How to achieve the desired result?

or can another GPU be used in slot 3 or 4 macpro 5.1 (early 2009 flashed 4.1).

have just tested my d-link dbt-120 which was flashed for powermac which tested earlier, did function on Monterey, albeit only usb1.1.
some time since then, now would not be able to activate the USB dongle any longer on Monterey, but it seems to be "connected" on the front-bus of the macpro4.1/5.1 and also somehow recognized.

according to Bluetooth Explorer, there are no Bluetooth Devices, so something is wrong here.
(have two devices connected, one internal Bluetooth Broadcom card by apple, and the USB 1.1 DBT-120 , which also seems no longer recognized).

yes thank you I read that previously.
There is no mention of monterey of course and likely becuase it is still quite "new," compared with macpro2.1 and legacy Mac OS's.

It appears that I might be the only person in the entire global mac community that is or intends to try to use a single and old pcie powered GPU as mentioned in my initial request for info- as a powered auxiliary monitor.
Am I a pioneer?

Does anyone have any additional info?

Bluetooth Explorer doesn't work anymore in Monterey. It was removed from the newer Xcode additional tool package.
