and now mine says it "Departed FedEx location" in Anchorage at 3:03 PM.

it's most likely hopping on its next flight, heading in southeast direction now. either to Memphis (most likely), or Indiana, or Newark, before going up to the Mississauga sorting plant in Greater Toronto Area.

Can someone tell me what should be the standard route after Memphis ? I'm waiting here in Halifax.
 
Anyone have an idea when we'll get our accessories? I ordered some along with my iPad on May 10th early in the morning. It says they'll all ship separately. I haven't received a shipping notice for any of them besides my SIM card. So I'm guessing I doubt I'll get my case on Friday.

If they ship locally tomorrow you may still have them on Friday but I *highly* doubt it (as I believe they won't be shipped from canada)

Damn, you're right, one more stop before :) Well it left Memphis 3 1/2 hours ago, so should be landing in Montreal any time or be scanned there any time soon. Would be nice if it then fly to Halifax over night and delivered tomorrow :D

I'm in Victoria. Hoping for Friday Big time. I think I was one of the first to order. I got in at 11:38 on May 9th - cause I really didn't wanna wait :(

I'm in the same boat. Ordered it around the same time you did. I'm in Calgary. Hopefully it's just a lag in the tracking data our iPads have made it across the Pacific. If they are still in China, unless they depart ASAP, I don't see it getting here on Friday.

Don't give up hope. Mine started the day (my time) in Shenzhen, currently it is on it's way to Memphis from Anchorage, it likely will be in Toronto Thursday am. Yours can be on the next Fedex flight out of China and be in Memphis late tomorrow and Fedex has overnight flights to all major Canadian cities that would arrive Friday am locally. Good Luck!
 
Mine is logged as leaving Anchorage a little over two hours ago. I'll be surprised if it gets here (London, ON) by Friday at this rate.

Uh, you do realize it has all day tomorrow. Anchorage-Memphis-Toronto (assuming) won't take 2 days. I assume it will be in Toronto tomorrow. And then overnight to London by Friday. Delivery is up till 6pm on Friday.

In general, if you ordered on May 10th/early 11th, you will get your iPad on Friday as expected. I got my N1 in 3 days in Kingston, not a big deal. All day tomorrow to get it to a major city hub, and then dispatched evening/overnight to smaller cities and then onto delivery truck form my past experiences.

Sit back, enjoy. I know this is half the fun in pre-ordering, but don't stress. That's why you pre-ordered ;)

So I've had no updated today since it left Memphis at 3am. Phoned Fedex and they have better tracking so he told me that that shipment was part of a large pallet!! and was divided up in Toronto and has now left Toronto to its next destination (I assume Vancouver or Calgary for me). That means that it will unlikely be a Thursday delivery for me as Fedex now uses the AirNorth flights from Vancouver and Calgary. Calgary only has flights Mon, Wed and Fri. Vancouver usually arrives too late to deliver. So either it goes to Calgary and flies Friday AM or Vancouver and flies tomorrow PM. Either way it should arrive by noon on Friday. I so hope there are no other delays.

It's actually probably being split up in the GTA for Apple Retail stores. Would make sense for Apple to send a huge massive pallet over and then to split up pre orders with Apple Retail store orders. Hence why major centres are receiving theirs roughly later tonight and then shipped out early tomorrow for Friday launch.
 
Well just got off the phone with fedex and right now for those ipad that left Memphis earlier today (3am ish) are clearing customs and should be dispatch to their respective major urban centers. ie. for Halifax the next stop after that is the Dartmouth fedex center.

How accurate that info is, I don't really know, the guy on the line seemed to be unsure about it all. Hopefully he's right.
 
uh my package just updated in transit in anchorage.

our ipads are probably not on that airplane :eek:

edit: unless of course they just posted the scan late again? D:

My fellow islanders. Lets keep our fingers crossed as we may see ours 'on truck for delivery' by tomorrow morning :)

Well Sherwood Park is about 10 minutes from Edmonton... I certainly hope it does not take an extra day to get it because of that. If that is the case I will just drive in and pick up the bloody thing! :D
