[Merged] Canada shipping status

Kinda in the same boat as you, expect I live an hour from Toronto, but I'm sure they have a system in place.

You know they shipped all the Ipads in the US on time, I'm sure they can manage the same in Canada.
 
Well I broke down & called FedEx, & mentioned that my shipment has been sitting in Shenzhen for three days & it was scheduled for delivery on Friday.

She said as long as it goes out on the next flight from Shenzhen, that an overnight deliver from China would not be a problem. And that Apple products, BTW, it is an apple product you are calling about (she must be psychic) should have no problem clearing customs quickly.

I'm skeptical, but hopeful. We'll see...
 
Yes i too am very skeptical of this "friday by 12:00PM" that fedex is saying... considering my iPad is still in alaska...
urgh, guess im just gonna have to wait and see...

Well Sherwood Park is about 10 minutes from Edmonton... I certainly hope it does not take an extra day to get it because of that. If that is the case I will just drive in and pick up the bloody thing! :D

I believe they only have 1 depot servicing Edmonton and area so you should get it the same time us Edmontonians. The depot is probably only 10 minutes from your house as it's just off argyll/sherwoodpark fwy.

My iPad has been sitting in Alaska since noon. They ran out of flights?

Why would you be skeptical. If FedEx shows estimated delivery "Friday by 12:00PM" you're pretty much guaranteed it will be there by then. FedEx is extremely accurate. If it was UPS, on the other hand, I could understand your concern.

It will fly from Alaska on a non-stop to Memphis tonight, then non-stop a few hours or so later to Calgary (or whichever major city you're near).

I thought that too until my other package scheduled by today at 5pm didn't arrive and now will only come tomorrow. The stupid thing spent 2 days sitting in Vancouver. The only reason I can see is they had to get me to pay duty before release and it must have missed its scheduled plane yesterday afternoon. Good thing that iPads don't have custom's issues. Look at this tracking from my other package:rolleyes: (NOTE not my iPad)

Wow, you're up there. You live in the Yukon? That's like a verb for everyman for himself wilderness where I come from. :p

If your package was scheduled for delivery at 5PM and it wasn't a customs issue, then they probably did come by, but like you mentioned you weren't home to pay duty. Speaking of which, paying duty is the most annoying thing ever. You pay tax when you buy it, then you pay duty. Double taxation sucks the big one.

mine arrived in Memphis FedEx location at 12:26AM local scan time after being in transit in Anchorage at 5:37PM local scan time.

mine's heading to Ontario. should be delivered before 10:30AM on Friday for me.

Some of the iPads will undoubtedly be travelling on FDX1438 to Toronto at 3:26AM CDT, but I'm not sure why FedEx would send it all the way there to send it all the way over here. Not when they have a direct flight path between Memphis and Vancouver.

Hopefully FlightAware will update with a Vancouver flight so we can track it:)

FDX 142; Departs Memphis @ 0415; arrives Vancouver @ 0627. :D

i *highly* doubt there wouldn't be a flight tonight. it's not like toronto is a small town - it just hasn't been scheduled yet.

ps FDX1438 is en route to Ontario, California :p big diff
 
The iPad keyboard that I ordered is now "Prepared for shipment". The case and camera kit I also ordered still says "ship by the 28th". Apple must be paying a mint in shipping.

my dock is prepared for shipping but not my case

apple has split up all 4 of my shipments in the last few weeks. driving me insane :D

Awww, my iPad didn't make that flight. I was arrived at Fedex Location Memphis, TN at 12:26am local time. Hasn't changed unless they just haven't updated it. Does your iPad tracking say In transit or departed Memphis already?

Mine didn't update that it had left Memphis at 3:39AM (LST) until about 25 minutes ago. Probably just slow servers this morning.
 
Could I get mine early if our batch is really headed to Toronto? I'm just an hour drive away. Could be possible, Right?

FDX128 landed about 10 minutes ago, mine is now in Mississauga sort facilty. I hope it somehow comes today, I have work tomorrow... :( :eek:

I was wondering how likely that is, as mine is also in the Mississauga sorting facility; and I live in Mississauga. In all likelihood I will be driving past the sorting facility going to work. Hahaha.
