Please Mississauga ... I can't take this any longer! Let's just put an end to this and I can finally stop taxing your servers with constant refreshes.
Has anyones iPad left Mississuaga yet? God this wait is killing, its soon close.
The sort should be completing soon - trucks are being loaded right now
they might have a hold on the packages but I think there might not be a problem
last week package came in a couple minutes before the ipad did, was on a truck by 9:05
before it hits the truck it should update "at dest fedex facility" then loaded on a truck - I'm unsure if they load the trucks for afternoon delivery (since they do have different windows) so it could take a little bit
either way it might still be held till tomorrow
That would suck, since the UK people are getting their iPads early.

If your package was scheduled for delivery at 5PM and it wasn't a customs issue, then they probably did come by, but like you mentioned you weren't home to pay duty. Speaking of which, paying duty is the most annoying thing ever. You pay tax when you buy it, then you pay duty. Double taxation sucks the big one.
Well actually they left me a phone message at home on Tuesday and I didn't get it till 5pm. Called them back and payed the charges over the phone via VISA. However, that whole day Tuesday it just sat in Vancouver and I think that delayed it one day.
As for today my ipad is now in Vancouver, so hoping for early tomorrow delivery. The plane it comes on is AirNorth usually and not AirCanada. AirNorth arrives at 2pm this afternoon. However, they never seem to try to deliver it that same afternoon. Even my other shipment yesterday was here by 2pm and it is waiting till today to deliver even though it was estimated/guaranteed for yesterday!

Stupid missed cutoff in China! I would have had it today!Status unchanged for delivery in Toronto. Still says "At dest sort facility MISSISSAUGA, ON". Here's hoping to afternoon delivery. If not, at least it's good to know they've already arrived locally, it's just a matter of delivery now.

My 2 iPads are at my local Fed-Ex depot, I called and asked if I could just come pick it up, and they said that Apple asked them not to allow people to pick them up.... Good news my iPad is only 3Km away, Bad news I have to wait 24 hours to get it.....
Ugghhh, I ordered it as soon as the Apple Store opened. The order was completed by 11:38 on May 9th.
Mine left Mississauge at 9:47am, so I suppose its on its way to my town, so I guess it might arrive today?

i doubt it's on a truck waiting. it's just sitting in the FedEx sorting facility.
i live in the central heart of downtown and all my FedEx (and UPS) deliveries are always scheduled before 10:30AM. since the iPad arrived at the mississauga sorting facility at 6:48AM, it obviously had plenty of time to clear through the lame Canadian custom and back-breaking brokerages there. if FedEx really wanted to deliver it to me early, it would have put it on a delivery truck and deliver it to me before 10:30AM today already - instead of tomorrow.
so no, i'd say FedEx won't deliver all Toronto orders this afternoon or tonight. they will definitely start tomorrow.
update: confirmed: here's a written reply from a FedEx representative:
