CRAP!!! Just called FedEx... and it would seem it hasn't cleared customs yet and the lady on the phone said that she highly doubts that it will be delivered today.... So Monday it is for me

Well yahoo tracking says it left fedex ramp at 2:10am in mississuaga, so about 6 and a half hours ago. Maybe it's in Vancouver now :-(

Great! Did your Fed-Ex ever update to tell you it was on truck for delivery? Many of ours have "left the ramp" in Mississauga...but that's as far as it goes.
Hope you're enjoying. I have had a Wifi for a few weeks now...love it. Can't wait for 3G.
No the last update before it arrived at my door was it was at my local Fed Ex depot. The guy who delivered it clearly knew what it was, and said that mine were the first two delivered in my city, as he was the first driver away and I was his first stop! iPad 3G FTW!!!!!!
Hope everyone else has theirs delivered as early as me and enjoys them as much as I have!
Yahoo tracking is showing me it now in Kingston ... and the Fedex page shows me its still in Mississauga .... lol
Guess Ill update Yahoos page from now on !

Mine still says it's in Memphis for the second time. However, I called FedEX and they say it has cleared customs, is at the Erin Mills facility and will be delivered by noon. I'll believe it when I see it. Package tracking is suppose to put the customer at ease and simplify the process, not confuse us.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news but I thought I should share this with you guys...

However, I just got off the phone with Fedex and the lady said that the iPad (along with MANY others) has cleared customs and is sitting in Ontario at the moment. She said that any Alberta bound iPads will NOT be delivered until Monday. (wtf?) The reasoning behind this is "Apple will not allow the iPad to be picked up at a facility without it being attempted to deliver first."...
She said that there are ALOT of iPads that showed up and because of that they are behind. I cannot speak about other provinces, but according to her Alberta iPads are a no go until Monday... This is BRUTAL! I go back to work on Monday and will miss the delivery.
Sooooo now what?!

FedEx just called me to let me know the current situation.
If your iPad has a current status of having left Kingston, ON, you will get it today. However, it might not be till later tonight. FedEx is making deliveries until midnight because of the large number of orders. If your iPad is being shipped to a business address, it'll be there before 5pm. All residential shipments will be made before midnight, though their goal is 9pm.

I really hope thats incorrect. The Yahoo tracker says mine left Mississauga this morning and would have arrived in Calgary at 4am.
Ahhh I'm glad that it is at least coming today... although the wait will be unbearable... I'm going to have to make sure someone is at the house at all times today haha

FedEx definitely don't know whats going on. Mine now is back in AK. The only thing is that it was delivered 30 minutes ago. Maybe I have another one on my name?

I wouldn't put too much faith in anything anybody tells you. I had a call from Apple a few days ago that said I wouldn't get my iPad until June 1st because FedEx has me listed in an outlying area ( I live in a large town about 10 minutes from the Saskatoon FedEx depot). So the next day I called FedEx to see if I could pick it up on the 28th, they said I had to call Apple. I called Apple and they said I couldn't pick it up until one delivery attempt is made, yadda, yadda. Anyways I had pretty much given up and to rub it in I could see that my iPad went directly from Memphis to Saskatoon and has been sitting here since yesterday morning. But yesterday someone from FedEx called and said that they would make a delivery attempt this afternoon, and today is my day off so I'll be waiting for it.
So don't give up hope, FedEx should be doing everything they can to fulfill their contract with Apple. Their may be a few exceptions but hardly a whole province worth of exceptions.
Mine's been sitting two hours away from me since yesterday. It easily could have been delivered yesterday but the note said "future delivery requested" so I guess Apple would prefer I get it today.

And if I look at the official Fedex page ... it says that it left Mississauga ...
But if I look at Yahoo Tracking page ... It says that it left Kingston ...

Just received mine! The Fedex driver says she's been delivering a lot of these and everyone's been waiting at home for them. The Fedex tracker still shows my order awaiting clearance in Mississauga from yesterday morning, so their system is way outdated.

I was told the same thing by FedEx this morning on livechat. Their online updates aren't updating due to large volumes.
Anyone in or around Toronto receive their packages?
i assume it all depends on how close to montreal you are... I live in Beaconsfield so I assume I should get mine before the 9 pm mark...
