When I pre-ordered my 64gb 3G iPad I paid the extra $13 for expedited shipping.

Throughout this thread I've seen several people mention that they've noticed their shipping status has switched to priority (which is what mine also shows, though I hadn't been watching it before today.) Did those folks pay the extra $13 as well, or is everyone getting priority shipping now?

I'm not going to whine about $13 when I've dropped over a grand into this product, but I am curious. Part of me hates to think I paid extra to expedite shipping on a case and stand I wasn't going to be able to use for several weeks. :D

Here's the fun part. I've had a charge pending since last week for $14.01 from Apple Online Store. The only thing I can associate this to is that expedited shipping cost plus my state sales tax (which is pretty high in Washington State. It's cool though, we don't have a state income tax.)

The $14.01 showed as pending as of last Thurs or Fri...and still does. My Wells Fargo site shows the date as 4/19 now, but it was definitely there last week. I got psyched as it seemed to me that it was a good sign that shipping was imminent. Alas, that doesn't seem to be the case.

Analysis data: Preorder 3/12 2:17pm Pacific. Magical mail received. Account not yet charged for device, just this 'magical' shipping charge.

Apple refunded the expedited shipping charge for the wifi only orders... I'm sure they'll do the same here.
 
Ordered the 64g on 3/12, got the email this morning, and my Wells Fargo debit card has been hit. Looks like we don't have long to wait.

Hi guys! Been lurking for a few weeks, first time poster. Just wanted to say I ordered on the 5th and got the verification charge a day later. I got the assurance e-mail this morning and :apple: has just dinged my account with a new pending charge :)

No charge here and I used AmEx. Maybe this weekend can be it since others are seeing pending charges using their debit cards.

To answer the ? on AmEx, I used an AmEx as well - got the email this morning, have gotten the charge for applecare (charged yesterday), but no charge for the iPad yet...
 
Just got my email from Aple stating I will get the late April ship date. I placed my pre order April 15th at 6:00am.

I just got the email about mine shipping late April but no charge on AMEX yet.

By the way, anyone know if the cases are going out at the same time/shipment as the iPads? Thought I saw that some folks who ordered the iPad and a case got the case already. Mine still shows late April shipment so I just assume they are going to send it out all at once.
 
Ordered the 64GIG model yesterday, got the email today. Also have a pending charge on my debit card. Hopefully it is sooner rather than later!
 
Got my Apple Store "magical" e-mail at 5:57am, but still no activity on my CC. :(

I would love it before I go to training next Tuesday.

Awesome! Whil ei was beginning to dread that perhaps we'd see them next week, since the cutoff date for the WiFi online orders was exactly one week before the actual release, the fact that they charged the Monday of release day makes me more hopeful release is this week. Seems more likely for them to only hold a charge for a few days than a week or more

I don't think they are shipping it at the same time.
I got my case last week. I ordered both the iPad 3G and the case at the same time.

It's all over the place. I got my case about 2.5 weeks ago, and I ordered it on March 12th, with my 3G iPad. Some people received them last week, and others haven't shipped yet. There seems to be no rhyme or reason to it.
 
weird charges

I was just looking at my checking account. Trying to analyze the difference in time after charged for one of the ipad accessories and the actual ship date. It is funny. my keyboard shipped on April 9 and I was charged for it on 12 April. It actually arrived at my door on the 12th as well. (on the website it said before the 15th) No, you did not read that incorrectly. It was charged three days AFTER they shipped. Now don't jump to any conclusions about people getting charged for the ipad today... I am just saying how funny my bank account is and I may not be charged until later this week and receiving it (hypothetically) on Saturday. Just thought I would share.
 
I also received the 'shipping late april' email, but no activity on my BofA credit card. I got the email saying that my apple care order is complete and will be shipping, I have a pending charge for that on my CC.

Me too!!!! screenshot attached. Ordered two 64GB wi-fi + 3G, the charge just showed up as pending on my Bank of America debit card.

Also I had a power adaptor for iPad shipping by May 28th and just changed to prepared for shipment!

I got my case beginning of last week.
